It is a bloodline, but I think its dominant enough so incest does not need to be practiced anymore.

I FULLY SUPPORT THIS COUPLE. Anyone who watches/reads Fruits Basket cannot bash it as an incest. Furuba is basically all incest. KaguYuki, KaguKyo, RinHaru, ShiguRin, etc.. ALL INCEST (oh, KureAki too)

Even if they weren't related, I'd still find them as a cute couple. Beats HinaNaru by a long shot. <33

This is my favorite Hinata couple. I don't mind the incest since they're just cousins, and I'm a Fruits Basket fan and have been forced to watch Gone with the Wind and read Ethan Frome

We don't know Hinata and Neji's current relationship, so it's hard to judge. And since Hinata's crush on Naruto is just that, she may get over it. Like if the two of them were to get to know each other, she may see him as more than she already does and grow out of it. Or it may become more real... Whether or not it becomes more likely to be canon depends on how the characters do or don't interact, really

i like the nejixhinata pairing but i really like the narutoxhinata one. but cousins used to marry so it kinda make sense and you do have to keep the bloodline so it does make sense. 4laugh

But we can't say for certain that it is dominant. (Besides, I can't think of ever seeing a Hyuuga with "normal" eyes.) On top of that, they are a very steeped-in-tradition bunch of people, and noble clans traditionally marry cousins to keep family power within. It's highly plausable.

And I don't see what Neji being supportive of Hinata's fancrush has to do with his feelings for her. From my perspective, he just finds her behavior to be amusing or cute anyway. And even if he were to support a relatinship between the two, it wouldn't necessarily stop him from developing feelings of his own. He might not act on them, but it's conceivable that he could develop them. If he were to develop them before a serious, or even tenative relationship started, he might well try his hand to shift Hinata's attention towards him. It would have a more solid base to build off of, if nothing else.

But! Never mind trying to slosh through more of my poorly-expressed arguments. I finally found the links to some essays:

But Hiashi is becoming far nicer. He could. O: Also, with Naruto being the pupil of Jiraiya, a Sanin, that os highly respectable. [Also the fact that everyone knows that Naruto WILL become Hokage. If that isn't being "worthy" for marrying the Hyuuga heiress, nothing will be.]

Then the fact that the pages are black and white. :D Example: Neji's hair looks black, yet it is brown. So, we don't exactly know the features of the Hyuuga members. Not to mention that with Naruto being set in feudal Japan [assuming that is correct], most people would have dark hair.

I believe cousin incest would be normal. Not sibling incest, which is what you mentioned with the Sand siblings and Uchiha brothers. Do YOU seriously think Kishimoto would write sibling incest?
