Have you guys heard the rumor that Ford and GM may merge? eek I was floored when I heard that. I thought 'No way this is true', but they they started talking about why this would happen and it made sense. How would you guys feel if they did merge?

The whole rumor seems to be from an article printed in the Wall Street Journal. I haven't read it myself, but from what I gather, they talk about how the two companies CFO's were seem meeting, and how two could help each other. Maybe not so much a merger, but an alliance. Though a merger was mentioned.
Still it'd be like hearing that Heaven and Hell were merging.

Considering the bad blood between Aston Martin (British sportscar owned by Ford) and Corvette (a true American Chevy brand), if Ford and GM merged, then there's no more rivalries. It's hard to believe they'd do that, but, GM is losing money out of its butt, so Ford could try buying them out little by little.
I'm a Ford Fusion NASCAR fan, but a Corvette Racing fan, and it shocks me to even think of the possibilities. Considering Aston Martin just made a WRC approved Rally car... things are going to get interesting.

even with how much gm loses a year, they still are technically making more a year than ford is. So i don't see how ford could buy them..I wouldn't be suprised if they made an alliance though
