{ This is a private RP between myself and Jestari. No butting in, 'kaykays? }
Imperial padded into the shop.
Stifling a yawn, he looked around for cats Rosse had told him he might want to meet. Most of them certainly sounded quite noticeable.
Personally, he was glad to be away from the house. Certainly, last night had been fun, but stay up the whole night with Rosse, Fiori, Pacifica, and Koala and you started getting dizzy. Still, he'd taken a short nap earlier in the day, so he'd most likely be fine for a few hours.
He intertwined his tails without realizing he was doing it and walked into the crowd of cats.

Melcocha was sitting in the place she usually occupied whenever she visited the shop- in other words, somewhere as isolated as she could manage, usually in a corner.
Her eyes had become hooded with the extent of her boredom. She didn't have many friends to speak with in the shop, you see. However, when she noticed the entry of a larger cat into the shop, Mel turned her head in that direction to see a rather tired looking Imperial. At the sight, a small smile grew on her face, but the lady cat didn't call out to get his attention. She disliked being loud, and he might have intended to run into other cats.

Imperial shuffled through the wad of cats, giving them all polite 'hello's and nods.
And then... wait, no... yes... was that Melcocha?
No, no, it was too much to expect that she was here once more. It must merely be a hallucination brought on by either doing a Dobby impersonation at seven in the morning, or by watching Pacifica and Rosse singing "Do the Hippogriff". Either one, she was most likely a figment of his imagination today.
He rubbed his eyes, pinched his cheek (and discovered that his claws needed a trim), blinked, and looked back. She was still there.
Whether this proved that she was real, or that his hallucination was very realistic and refused to be gone was unknown to Imperial. But he didn't want to approach her: he'd either look like a fool in front of Melcocha if she was real, or a fool in front of the other cats if she wasn't.

(( Dobby impression? Poor Impy. XDDD ))
The smile on Mel's face grew into one of amusement as she watched Imperial perform all manner of tactics that the sleepy employ in an endeavor to wake themselves. What could Imperial have seen to make him do that? Surely not her, they had met here before.
Wondering whether or not it was wise at the moment, as Imperial looked to be in dire need of rest and might nod off soon, Melcocha rose from her reclining position and made her way towards the demonic peacock. A good middle-ground between calling out and staying put.

{ Woahno, he did it willingly. XD }
Well, he realized, now he was just being silly.
One simply didn't hallucinate after doing an impression of Dobby. Of course, there was always the chance that Fiori had put something in his punch, therefore causing him do do the Dobby impression and make him hallucinate.
He did feel, though, that he had been perfectly sane while acting as Dobby, so perhaps he wasn't hallucinating after all.
Imperial, lost in these thoughts, was staring at a wall and didn't notice the approaching Melcocha.

(( Did he get into the magic mushrooms? XD ))
Upon reaching Imperial and not getting some form of greeting -and Imperial was just too polite to ignore her- Melcocha moved to stand beside the larger cat. She glanced at the wall, wondering briefly what was so interesting about it, before deciding that she might as well announce her presence.
"Hello, Imperial." Good enough.

{ Naw, I just think that 12+ hours of party got to him. XD }
Well, that answered that question.
"Oh!" he said, not having seen her come up to him. "So sorry, I didn't see you," he said blushingly, nodding politely to her.
He hurriedly stifled a yawn. At least she wasn't a hallucination. But he most probably was still going to make a fool of himself regardless.

"It's fine. I like to get unnoticed when I come here." And with good reason. Too many cats were too cheerful for her to handle.
"Are you alright?" Concern laced Melcocha's voice now, replacing the fading smile. Imperial wasn't normally this tired.
((*wonders when she should drag Beel in* XD ))

"I've only come here on my own twice, including this time... so I'm not really sure how I like to be when I come."
"Oh... yes, I'm quite fine. Rosse, Fiori, Pacifica, and Koala - Pacifica's son - decided that they wanted to throw a surprise unofficial-birthday party for me... and..." He glanced away, a faint pink blush starting to blossom on his cheeks. "Well, we were awake all night." Imperial swallowed another yawn. "I've hardly gotten any sleep all day."
{ You can do it whenever, he's your cat. XD Although I'd suggest juuuust when Impy and Mel are starting to get friendly. }

"A birthday party?" The concern faded upon being reassured that nothing serious was wrong, to be replaced by a musing expression. "You didn't tell me that your brithday was coming up." Her tone was only slightly chiding- Melcocha would have liked to get him a present.
She fought down the urge to yawn. Jestari had always said those things were contagious.

"Well, not quite my birthday. I don't remember when my birthday is, so it seems that they chose a day at random and decided that would do."
Imperial gritted his teeth in an effort to wake himself up. Often Rosse said that sleepiness and unsleepiness alternated for her. When she hadn't gotten much sleep, she'd be tired, then awake, then tired again. He didn't know if the same applied to him, but it was worth a try.

"I see. As my human would say, 'an un-birthday is just as good as the real thing.'" A product of watching 'Alice in Wonderland' too often, she supposed.
"..Perhaps coffee would help you wake up?" She glanced up at him, watching his endeavors to stay awake. It seemed to work for humans, after all.

"Well, it was quite..." He searched for a word. "...interesting."
"Coffee? I've never had it, but Rosse often tells us about it's ability to wake one up. She also says black tea can do the same." He swallowed yet another oncoming yawn.
"I do apologise for being so tired..."

"I see." Interesting, fun, or interesting, strange, Melcocha wondered, but she didn't voice her question.
"Coffee, tea, carbonated sodas... all of them seem to serve the same purpose. " She blinked. "Don't apologise, it was your birthday yesterday." Well, unbirthday. Same thing.
Beelzien was making his rounds in the shop- flirting with those worth flirting with, avoiding his spawn, fighting with Glitterface... the usual. A movement attracted his eyes to Imperial and Melcocha, who seemed to still be friendly despite the information he'd exposed recently. A tiny frown marred his face briefly. That shouldn't be happening. Imperial should be avoiding her.
Oh well. But he could still annoy them... maybe make it so Imperial avoided coming to his house anymore.

Imperial didn't know whether it had been fun or strange either. Most likely an odd combination of the two.
He smiled slightly, and this seemed to clear his head from some of the drowsiness. "Yes, it was, but still..." Blushing faintly, he looked away.
