The rescue groups leave Gaia early in the morning, in the cold dew of dawn. The trip to the search area will take a while, but there's plenty to do on the boats and food and drink with thanks to those who went shopping late at night. The radios are on, sleeping quarters fixed up below the decks, and the maps with the areas to search are pinned up to the walls of the cabins in each boat.

Feel free to post biggrin

Itsuki walked up the steps slowly to the deck after having arranged his things in the sleeping quarters below. Carefully, he made his way over to the side of the boat where he sat down, a styrofoam cup of ramen in one hand and a glass of water in the other. The boy sighed, put down both cups and pouted a little.

They hadn't been on the sea very long, but it seemed like forever already. Sitting on a boat wasn't very suited for him, especially for his idea of a 'mission'.

Especially since he had packed so much ramen and totally forgot about the lack of a microwave.

Now he was sitting out, hoping the sun would eventually get the water hot enough to use, fiddling with his necklace as he looked out at the horizon. Tingling sensations were crawling across his neck since he'd gotten onto the boat and he wondered if he should take the necklace off.

Maybe I'm allergic to this... hemp or something. He didn't feel like taking it off yet, or rather getting up again, so he went back to staring at the ocean.

Huni was in the other boat, fiddling with the two S-Tones she had. The other two were left with the people in the other boat, where the boy Itsuki was.

"I am going to freeze." she muttered to herself, "Sim had better appreciate this." her teeth chattered from the cold, the red head was more accustomed to warm, tropical weathers. She opted to head back below deck, not like she could distinguish the waters in the least.

Tlachta had left the house earlier then needed. She wasnt sure what help she could be, but staying at the house where Sayuri was fussing and flapping about her wasnt helping. She had a long deep green cloak on, the hood up and covering her rainbow locks. She stood a while watching the boats dip up and down slowly where they were docked. Tlachta soon stood on the deck of the boat Huni was already on, but the woman had already gone below by the time the girl was stood on the boat. She went over to the rail, leaning over a little and staring down into the murky water.

"Division of males and females..." Kyoko muttered and glared at the sea below. She knew it wasn't the ocean's fault, but somehow she had to make her anger vanish before she would lose control.

The teen had appeared at the docks as early as possible and had managed to comfort her mother, who was scared about sending another child away. Well, she let her go after all and now she was on the boat with all the other women. A mother was there as well and this strange rainbow-coloured girl...

Of course Kyoko would never admit it, but she would have loved to spend more time with Itsuki. Or at least someone sensible...

Below deck, the red head was busy checking and re-checking the things she brought for the rescue mission. There was a metal lunchbox composed of three different compartments, the top one had steamed prawns in garlic sauce, the middle had white rice cooked in chicken broth, and the bottom compartment had hot soup. All prepared by the medusa Marl. And beside the metal lunchbox was a small tupperware with brownies baked by Khun Ying.

Huni had packed a couple of the latest fashion magazines to help soothe Sim, a pair of fresh, clean clothes for him to change into and a first aid kit. In case he had a cold or cough, or fever.

An errant breeze caught Tlachta's hair as she lowered the cloaks hood, she was stirred within. The beauty of nature wasnt lost on her despite the reason for the trip and a song sprang unbidden to her lips;

Farewell, but whenever you welcome the hour
That awakens the night-song of mirth in your bower,
Then think of the friend who once welcom'd it too,
And forgot his own griefs to be happy with you.
His griefs may return, not a hope may remain,
Of the few that had brighten'd his pathway of pain,
But he ne'er will forget the short vision that threw,
It's enchantment around him, while ling'ring with you.

And still on that evening when pleasure fills up,
To the highest top sparkle each heart and each cup,
Where 'ere my path lies, be it gloomy or bright,
My soul, happy friends, shall be with you that night.
Shall join in your revels, your sports, and your wiles,
And return to me beaming, all o'er with your smiles.
Too, blest if it tells me that 'mid the gay cheer,
Some kind voice had murmer'd, "I wish he were here!"

Let Fate do her worst, there are relics of joy,
Bright dreams of the past, which she cannot destroy,
Which come in the night-time of sorrow and care,
And bring back the features that joy used to wear.
Long, long be my heart with such memories fill'd,
Like the vase in which roses have once been distill'd.
You may break, you may ruin the vase if you will,
But the scent of the roses will hang 'round it still.

She lets the words hang in the air and then covered her head again, watching the water and waiting for their departure.

Itsuki stared at his glass of water in desperation, checking the temperature with his finger every few seconds, before giving up with a heavy sigh. He had never been so bummed out before without a means of escape from it.

He hadn't seen Yeste' in such a while, Kyoko wasn't even on the same boat, he was stuck on a small boat which didn't seem appropriate for weapons training, and now he couldn't even eat ramen! The boy began to glare at his cup of water, almost hoping it would boil from the intensity of his stare, when he tossed his cup of ramen across the deck. With a growl, he watched it roll to the other side of the ship and stop, then just stare at him stubbornly. Itsuki sat the glass down and stared harshly at the surface of the ocean. He could have sworn he heard some sort of music, but he dismissed it as he desperately tried to find something to keep him from losing his mind.

((You're right, there's only one boy. XD I guess it would have to be mixed up.

Oh, and anyone who wasn't at the meeting can still join in. biggrin ))

Neith stood on one of the boats, sitting at the wheel and keeping a course towards the right direction. It wasn't too bad, spending hours sitting here, but it could get a little boring.

Itsuki sighed heavily and finally stood up again. He was restless more than usual today, which he blamed on being on the boat but still didn't seem correct, and headed back below the deck.

The boy made his way to his bed in the sleeping quarters and flopped down. He was pouting as his gold eyes glanced around the room before his gaze fell upon the rock he found at the party. He brought the small thing with him, thinking that maybe with a symbol like 'happiness' it might bring him luck this time. Oddly, the thing had changed from its blood red symbol to a simple, cool black kanji which he didn't recognize, of course. The boy stared at it for a few moments and shook his head. Between the weird sensations the necklace had been giving him, now the rock changing again, and the restless feelings, Itsuki was sick of the day he was having.

And it only just started. Dammit...

Kerryn had ran towards the docks when she had finally gotten free of Bri - having left in the middle of the night, her navigation through the town was borne of early morning market goings and an eagles eyeview from the apartment balcony. Less worried about what Bri would do when she figured out that she was missing than if she had everything she needed, she double checked her pack as she settled down in her corner, listening to the silence of the world around her. As a stowaway she just hoped that she wouldn't be found before they were far enough away that the other people on the boat wouldn't be able to bring her back home.

Clutching her worn backpack to her chest she stayed hidden in the corner she had chosen for herself, a dark coloured cloak wrapped around her shoulders as she concentrated on not making noises and the gentle rocking of the boat.

((For all purposes, I'm sorry I havent' been around. I'm still on slight Hiatus, but I'm going to try and take an active part in this rp because I don't want to miss out - Or if you'd rather I didn't that works as well. Kerryn can be on either boat since she didn't know anything about the gender segregated boats. So if Itsuki wants someone to rp with, I'm fine with Kerryn being on that boat. ))

It's only a matter of time before they're all found! Could be a day, or a week... depending on how organised and well the teams on the boats work.

But there's something bad about the tropics.
It's a perfect day one moment, and then... 'CRACK'. The sky suddenly lets out it's fury, rain, thunder, lightening, wind, the ocean starting to act as if it wants to eat the island. And tonight, after a day with only a few fluffy clouds in sight, a storm just like that is headed over to the area all the islands are in. Waves will be HUGE.

The boat isn't immune to it but being on the ocean still and not in the shallower island areas, the only danger is that people fall overboard. The waves out here are massive rolling walls of water, but they aren't breaking, and the wind is a problem. (Isn't it lucky that the boats came with professional seamen? sweatdrop )

On the bright side though, this storm is pushing the boat along at a fine little rate towards the island.

This was just great.

Itsuki had taken off his necklace, so the tingling stopped, but now he was suffering from seasickness. Of course, things only got better since the boat seemed to be swaying a lot more often.

Judging by the pounding and other noises, the boy could only guess what was happening outside.

"Augh... great... Who needs a storm at a time like this?"

Worst yet, his ramen was still outside!

"...." Itsuki didn't have the willpower to go outside and see if it had gone overboard yet, but he knew he had to do something to get rid of the nausea.

Aren't there like... pills or something you can take? Maybe they have some in the storage room...

He stared at the short walk to farther back in the boat and after a good five minutes, the Simu managed to stumble his way farther into the boat.

As he clutched his stomach, he pushed open the door and fumbled with the light. A quick glance around the room offered little else but shelves with items, some boxes... what was that in the corner? It looked like a black blanket drapped over something... Itsuki ignored it as the boat swayed harder.

Gotta find something...

Slowly, he made his way to a shelf and began to sort through the items there.

Kerryn quickly made an appraisal of the simu of whom she had met just once before, the one who Yeste' brought chocolate, right? He seemed ok, but he looked a little worse for wear in his current state. Shifting slightly as he passed where she was hiding, and falling into the wall when she realized a little too late that her left leg had cramped up because she had stayed in that crouched position waaay too long.

A muffled yelp hearlded her fall just shortly before there was a dull thud and a sliding sound as the soft material of her cloak rubbed against the wall as she side to a sitting position.

Despite his state, Itsuki's instincts reacted immediately to the sudden movement and loud noise. Unforunately, his body wasn't willing to react just as fast.

So, the boy merely turned his head to see what the hell was going on when it donned on him that the black blanket thing must be...

A monster.

"G-gah!" Itsuki took the plastic bottle of pills he was examining and threw it at the lump of black cloth. When the effect didn't seem life-threatening to the creature, he began to contemplating his chances of tipping over the shelving on the enemy. That's when he caught a glimpse of... a leg?

A very human leg. Infact, probably a young... girl?

"Erm?" Itsuki scratched his head sheepishly and offered, "Uh, are you... okay?"
