I was wondering, what inspired you to write? Have you done it as long as you can remember, or did something happen to kindle inspiration?
I have always liked to write, but until recently I mainly just journaled and wrote poetry. What inspired me was my love of reading, how the characters can seem to come alive; I wanted to write and breathe life into my own characters.
Anyway, I was just curious.

.....I guess.. I will start this off.. though I hope not to scare anyone..
In 5th grade... one of my best friends since kindergarden killed her self.. she was like my sister.. my other best friend.. my brother. It was always us three. But when I found out.. it was so sudden, neither him nor I was expecting it... I turned to the knife after that.. and it started killing my friend. He was afraid he would end up loosing his two best friends (his little sisters) So he gave me a pen. Told me to let it out that way.. and it just stuck.
Used to hate writing though. with a passion. Never would you see me writing in a note book. homework or not.
Now, you are lucky to see me without a pen and notebook.

*gaaaaaaaaaaaasssssspofpurejoy*
You are SO AWESOME! Just for this one topic.
Well, actually I have no idea. There were books all over the place at my house. And I read 'em all. Well, sorta. And I remember writing a rather suckish story in 6th grade, and I can't remember a word of it...And in 7th grade, I started another one, which was better but still not that good.
And then one day I got this random dream about people doing action-movie type things, and I wrote all I remembered down, and that was Christmas Eve, I know. And I finished that book three months later and sent it off.
Of course, it never came back to me, but nevermind. The next time I came up with a story idea, I stuck with it. And that was ages ago, like, in March, ( xd ) and I've fallen completely in love with it.
Funny. I can sum up my history in like, three sentences.
Takkun, that is so sad. crying But writing IS better. Whatever you do to your characters doesn't ever really happen to them. I mean, remember when I tried to kill off one of them? She came back to life. I mean, dammit, if they come back to life there's just no hurting them!
Writing keeps the world turning. I tell you, if we didn't have books the Apocalypse would come BEFORE time ever started. That's how important they are.
It's all in Fahrenheit 451. heart that book.

Well... actually... she told me that the better I did the less she'd make me re do... and then I found that I enjoyed it.

And that's the best way I've heard it said. I'm stealing that for next time I get someone sobbing over my sob story... which isn't going to be told on Gaia if I can help it.

Dont complain about not having a sob story.. I would much rather be known as boring... then as "the dead girls best-friend"

T____T I know the feeling.. You could be known as "that kid who made the school handicap accessable". But it is pretty awesome that the doors have a handicap button like the library.. And that no one really bugs me about fiddling with it 'cause I'm lazy.

*ponders for a moment*
I have no clue...
When I was younger ((one year younger)), I wanted to be a manga-ka and make graphic novels, but for every year, the young author competion we had, it had to be a short story with at least a picture on every page.
And so, I kinda grew into writting.
I'll paint a picture with both. Words and paint. 3nodding

Mr. Economon!
Best english teacher ever.
He made me write so much that I couldn't not like writing. You cannot know how much he helped me.

To be honest, I do not know what inspired me to write. I have written for as long as I can remember...but I can't recall what inspired me to do so. Perhaps curiosity? Perhaps my stretching imagination? I think it was just a gift that God planted in me the day I was born and I harvested it.
