She had gone wandering again, its all she seemed to ever do now, wander and avoid everyone and thing. She was terrified of strangers, especially golden/orange coloured strangers. Nightmares tormented her everynight and the death of her mother never left her mind.
She was returning to the family den, she had been wandering, letting her thoughts wander her mind. She was day dreaming constantly. She was dreaming about her mother now, all together, lots of cubs. Why didn't her mother wake up?
The cave was rather large, for Mahiri and nine cubs. It was too big. Mchanga didn't like it, she wanted to be close to her family, where it was safe and warm. That was where she was happy, close to her family where she can believe that everything was how it should be.

 Futahi had been similar to her muted siblings after the event, shy, retiring and timid.Nevertheless, she still sought cuddles and comfort at every opportunity just to try and fill the void left by her mother's passing. Her nightmares were confused and blurry, the whole terrible time still fuzzy in it's details. She knew her mother should have been there, should have been by her side, her abscence hinted that all was not right in the world and it made Futa feel more off kilter than she should have. She didn't dare leave the den alone though, what if she came back and everyone was gone like mother? Instead she sat just inside the doorway, tail curled at her dainty feet.

Mchanga returned to see her sister in the entrance of the cave. She said nothing but went and sat next to her other white sibling. She nuzzled at her neck and kept reasonably close to her.
"You ok?" She spoke softly, not expecting a very happy response. She never got good responses from many of the litter. It was to be expected.

Futa smiled at her sister, she had actually been worried about her, even though she had been gone but moments. She kept an eye out for her sister, knowing that out of the litter the two of them looked most alike. She purred in greeting before nodding.
"I'm okay." It was honest, she felt no worse than she did any other day and despite the hardship they were all going through, felt she should put a brave smile on it all. She still didn't understand the whole death thing so simply assumed she'd see her mother again, she had just gone on a very long journey. "Where were you?" she asked, interest of the world outside apparent in her gaze.

Mchanga smiled at her sister and nudged her a little. "I was wandering. Its a large place, beautiful though." She smiled and looked out of the cave. "You should come out with me, Father is hunting, we could go find him?" She looked back at her sister hoping.
She had made it her mission in life to get her sister wandering. She felt closer to Futahi then any of the others, probably because they looked so alike, either way, she wanted Futahi to go out wandering with her.

Futahi liked the sound of it out there and really did want to go out, previously she had been too timid to go out alone, but her sister being there and willing to come with her eased her nerves. She nodded warmly with a smile and got to her feet. "Yeah, lets go out then." Maybe outside would be better than the den with all it's lurking bad memories.
It looked brighter out there too.

Mchanga smiled and stood up, "Follow me, I will take you to the pretty water!" She smiled and trotted off a little before turning to look back.
She had got her sister out for now, but now she had to show her these lands were good, they also needed to try and find food, which meant finding their father coz this little girl was hungry!

She followed Mchanga out into the dazzling sunlight, surprised by the heat, the scents and the colours. Everything was so much more intense out here and even her own fur gleamed blindingly bright. "Wow" was all she could say, almost struck dumb by the sight.
As she trotted along trying to imagine what this pretty water would be like, she marvelled at it all.
"It's so big."

"It gets bigger!" She chuckled as she continued walking, the soft grass under their paws. This is what she was happy doing, wandering, never far but far enough to not let the ghosts torment her everyday.
"Its just down here!" She suddenly turned and walked through a bush, well, climbed through, and down a slope to the water, this was huge!
