I agree. I was so hoping that the Prince was secretly a Princess.
Unfortunately, Konami disappointed.

Because the majority of people who play video games are males.
And males like to play as manly-men (sry, S5), with a hot woman-friend on the side.
It's just the way it is.

The first time I saw the hero of suikoden 5 I was convinced that he was a girl. I soon found out he was a guy. You know they keep calling "prince" and all that stuff.

Chikuu Chris no es una Tenkai Star. Because Thomas was such a hero. Me: Hey, a Treasure Boss! I wonder what treasure it's got! Thomas, go- Thomas: OMG. *Faints* Me: Hey, a nonthreatening corpse. It's not going to hurt you. Thomas, go- Thomas: OMG. *Faints* Me: ...Hey, a wild boar. You've fought these before. Go kick some- Thomas: OMG. *Does two points of damage* Wild Boar: *Kills* Me: *Soft reset and goes to Chapter 4*

Bah. I'll take a a high attack stat, swing skill, and a True Rune over Kindess anyday. Hellfire/Heavenly Drops>Niceness.
Well, unless we're talking about the Tenei Star (Or Nanami). In which case, yeah, niceness wins.

Chris is a hero? I always treated her as another star with more character development than most.
But yeah, I think we do need a female Tenkai. We came close with Riou, but we need more.
That, or Luc's return. That would more than suffice.

Funeral Wind Chris is a hero? I always treated her as another star with more character development than most. *Sighs* This always annoys me. Whomever the New Flame Champion is, in essence, Suikoden III's hero. S/he is given the task of leading The Fire Bringer Redux, organizing the arny, recruiting the majority of the Stars of Destiny, being the person most controlled by the Invisible Guider AKA The Player, and keeping the land safe. Chris is a candidate to be the New Flame Champion and because, game-wise, there is no "correct" choice, she is as much of a hero as Geddoe or Hugo.

Luc's return would be utter bollocks and remove the symbolism of his death.
Appearance in a prequal's acceptable. As long as it makes sense. Though new characters for the win.
Like Zerase. I prefered her to Luc.

Sheynara Luc's return would be utter bollocks and remove the symbolism of his death. Symbolism? Luc's death as a symbol? Unless I'm misplacing my thoughts, I didn't think it as so. But enlighten me. I would love to hear the opinion of another. Quote: Appearance in a prequal's acceptable. As long as it makes sense. Though new characters for the win. Well he missed his chance already. Unless Konami doesn't plan on moving forward any time soon, I don't expect him to have a better chance than five presented. Or am I confusing my timeline? Edit: Nevermind, I am confusing it. New characters are always desired, but without ANY returning character, Suikoden would lose that one flair that makes it desireable. Granted, it won't be enough to turn off fans. At least not for me. It should be what? 70:30 ratio for new to old characters? Quote: Like Zerase. I prefered her to Luc. To each its own.
