ok I am half asleep when I did this...and gaia #%$%$%$ up my post.....again...and it was pretty long so I tried my best to shorten it....

ok inflation is getting to the point of stupidity. Gaia isn't in a war is it? Is there a limited space issue? Are we living in ghettos? I don't completly understand why people sell things at such a high rate.

It started with greedy gaians selling things at like 5-6 times the price....then others decided to join in with the other items to the point that it's millions for a devil tail. Now many people are thinking, "if you be on gaia everyday and ask for donations you can get it at no time!" Ah but that is the issue.

You can get 1k a day on gaia....if you 1) Have a fast pc and can stick around for a while and post a lot, (every ten minutes,) and can do a lot of lurking and what not, (even with the 1gold per post thing,) 2) know about the 12 hour links, or 3) You stay on gaia 6-8 hours a day, (this is proven because I earned 1k a few times in 2003 when I was obessesive with machines and didn't have much of a social life sweatdrop ) There is a rumor that gaia refreshes itself like 12 hours or so and you can get 10 gold per post again but it's like...people do have lives outside of gaia. Humans work for bills and other means, have school, have boyfriends, or in my case, dealing with kids or having kids. Gaia is a game that you can play on any pc if you cannot play something as insane as ROSE, (bf does...4-5 hours to level up like....two-five...maybe,) or Gunbound, (hacks, hacks, and did I mention it's mostly stupid young men?)

Also, not everyone is nice. People are selfish to a degree...even me, but many are more than others. So if people ignore your quest thread, you might not get that many donations. And inflation is making everyone work on their own items and worry about others on their own time. Or in my case in the past before inflation, people just ignore you xp (I only knew like two people on gaia in real life, and they are like miles from where I live...one in the same state and the other in CA.)

So it goes like this: Greedy gaians, inflation; people selling stuff at higher prices due to the sudden increase of price in the marketplace and other places, people worried about the inflation so more worried about themselves, questors selling off their stuff at higher prices, repeats.

What I decided to do was instead of quit, (I wanted to do this when I first came back on in Aprilish,) use my old first account as a donation account and my second as a questing account, so it's a charity, (been donating randomly since I joined in setember of 2003.) I am not begging anyone for donations until I try my hand at getting a panda hat, (I have to go through angelic pendent, OMG, AFK, nm and angelic scarf, and winged anklets, but hey I don't mind,) but until then it's helping people on quests to get donation items. I basically donate to a list of people 200 gold until you finish your quest(s). People rotate and the longer the list the longer you will get your donations.

Yeah you may think I am nuts, or it's pretty stupid, or whatever, but seeing a person get an nm scarf or minis makes me happy :]

Good points and I agree with what you are saying here.

I don't mind the inflation. I don't have big items to sell and take advantage for the inflation. But I don't mind buying and saving even more gold for an item I want.
