(note all of these reviews for the most part are old but still good, i am an active poster on allthingszombie.com, visit the site i am pimpkilla (wow who woulda guessed) on that site)
THE DEAD NEXT DOOR
ok, i just saw this movie and well, lets just say i have very mixed feelings
first of all this is one of those zombies movies that dont follow the conventional rules of the romero zombie films
they can still stay alive after you hit them in the head or even remove the head, a bite will cause infection and cause you to turn
anyway the plot is a scientist accidently creates the zombie virus and there is an outbreak and the zombies are barely under control, so a zombie squad is formed to combat them
the zombie squad goes to the twon where it all started to find a cure or weapon against the virus
but complications arise, zombies get loose, a cult is there (ya i know what the ********) and its just strait up wierd
things i did like
-gore factor was nice
-i liked the character mercer, i thaught he was cool
-i liked how they explained the outbreak better and why zombies were coming back to life
- i liked that dudes hat
-i also liked how if a person got swarmed their friends just took off
-zombies in leashes
what i didnt like
-cheasy 80s s**t (the zombies in the film store at the begining was a definate what the ******** didnt like alot of the characters and it was some of the worst acting to date (not as bad as mark of the astro zombies)
-mullet man, i hate that guy
-i didnt like the ending at all, i thaught it was...........well gay (sorry the best way i can put it)
basicaly its just a zombie flick with no real depth er somehting to interesting
id give it a 4.7 out of 10
its not an avoidable movie, but if you feel like renting it go for it, i would but like i said dont expect much out of it

CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD
ok, first of all i would like to add that this isnt a new film (for those of you who dont know)
city of the living dead was amde in 1980 by that italian director Lucio Fulci (yes i had to look up how to spell his name)
anywho i picked this movie up hearing good things about it and it being the same director as the classic zombie (which i loved for the zombie vs. shark fight scene)
but i can safely say i do not fele the same way about this film
this is one of those WHAT THE ********! films. it makes little sense, and even though most of the time zombie movies can have huge plot gaps and still come off pretty good, this one didnt
first of all it seems its more of a ghost film than a zombie film (from the way the zombies moved)
also the acting sucked severly (but as we know his movies are not reknowned for their acting)
anyway it was just.......bad, from my point of view, although it had some rpetty interesting scenes in it, it wasnt all bad as redneck zombies was
i did like the similarities between the movie zombie and city of the living dead, such as the same gross scenes (one where this lady pukes up all her insides, havent ever seen that before and i was amused) and the same final fantasy sounding music (hey i like it, i think the music worked out good) and it had a one scene that was nearly identical to the eye gouding scene we so dearly love in the movie zombie (instead of involving a bit of wood, it involved a drill, which i think was a nice touch) but the end had the same type of zombie movements, they come out of the ground surround our heros and im not going to ruin the rest for ya
over-all i would give this movie a 5.3 out of 10, the low score is because well overall the movie kinda sucked, but it did have a few cool scenes in it (alot of the scenes had nothing to do with the plot though i was like wtf)
but ya, for those of you who have seen it as well, can anyone tell me why the lady at the end was screaming as the kid ran towards her? i dont get it

ZOMBIE
tonight i was feeling in a classic horror mood, and i was at my local video store. anyway the one i was at had an excellent selection of movies, and i was wondering if they had the movie zombie (or in italy known as zombi 2) because its italian
anway i rented for two reasons, one its a classic like i said and i had neevr seen it, and secondly because i heard there was a zombie vs shark fight in it 9there was and i was not let down)
anyway, the plot sticks close to the romero rules, you know like zombies move two miles and hour, blow to the head puts em down, and the people are strait up retarded
yes, the movie wasnt as good as i thaught it would be, a bit slugish at the begining (maybe i had my hopes up) but towards the en dit picked up rather nicely. the gore factor was pretty cheasy and obviously fake, but it had one realy disturbing scene which involves an eye and a bit of wood (i wont spoil it for you)
but the movie was alright and definatly worth watching it, i found it more funny than scary or cool, and the zombie vs shark scene was exceedingly cool i must say, so i got what i wanted out of it
over all i would give this a 6.7 out of 10, not bad but not good
the score was increased by the cool fight scene with the shark, and the over-all story and gore scenes
its score was lowered due to its dubbing, stupid actors (god they are a discredit to the human race and i hope they burn in hell), and that it seemed a little slow at times
but yes, if you are looking for a quick classic to show your girlfriend and get her shirt off and myabe at the same time see some kick a** zombie head busting, then this is the movie for you
i recomend it to all zombie lovers, i mean you gotta stick with the classics
(on the side note this is my first offical review, if a mod didnt think i did good or thaught it to informal, go ahead and remove it, i dont realy care to much, but whatever i thaught it was a good review)

MARK OF THE ASTRO ZOMBIES
i got this movie because i have heard great things about it and the misfits wrote a song about it
turns out they were talking about just astro zombies and not mark of the astro zombie, the mark of the astro zombie was the shittiest peice of crap i have ever seen, it was so fake and stupid it was funny
seriously watch it, its not good but i garuntee you will laugh your a** off its that dumb
bad acting
ugly actors
and fake a** props (they had a peice of foam on the alien spaceship, which was nothing more than a piece of dry wall with christmas lights spread all over it)

ALL SOULS DAY
alright this is a newer zombie movie, and i saw the edited version of it whne it came on sci-fi (they had a zombie/undead movie marathon, your damn right i watched it) and so what i saw was edited ya i know
i will tell you, basicaly its a survival story of some americans trapped in mexico, their car broke down so they stranded in a stupid place and what not
what happens is an evil wealthy land owner finds this treasure which belonged to the queen of the dead, and in return for immortality he kills all the town people, what happens later is like 150 years later er soemthing a couple (the chick was fine, definate plus) went to mexico to met with her parents er something, on the way down they stop by this ******** up town and accedntly get in a wreck and ******** up their car, they are stuck so they tell their two friends to come on down which they later do
anyway when night rolls around zombies come out (cause its all souls day, november 1st dia de mourtes er whatever) and they try to fend them off
overall i think the movie was ok, id give it a 5.7 out of 10 (probably a little less due to it was edited) but id still watch it, this isnt a purchase item, but definalty if you can rent it or find it for 10 bucks get it
things i liked
-i could tell it had some good gore in it
-hot girls
-guns being used
-original plot
-i liked the mexican actor, its the dude from the dusk till dawn series (you know the mexican vampire)
-funny
things i didnt like
-bad acting
-stupid actors (i dont understand why the blakc guy went around the other side of the car where all the zombies were, why didnt he get in in the back)
-that old lady (i wanted her to be shot in the temple from minute 1)
but like i said it was decent
