I apologize if I'm out of line for advertising my auction, but.. gosh darnit, I think I'm worth more than my high bid o.o No offense to the other auctioning artists, but there are some not particularly special artworks auctioning for more than twice what my high bid is right now. So since I know how loving all of you are, I thought I'd put my vent/attention craving here. Please, if you're interested in bidding on artwork or bumping my thread (which is equally as luffed as bidding at this point), please direct your cursor to the button below and have a look biggrin You'll probably see a few familiar faces in my examples! (or at least names, as many of them have changed their appearance since I drew them.. ^_^)

Well, I can't bid, but I can bump! Don't count on me to do it too often though, cause I'm not very good at remembering. sweatdrop

Well... This is the whole idea of an auction.
When things are going to be sold at ANY price offered. Whether high or low. That's when things are auctioned.
Of course, when you want to use auctions as a way to get any higher price offered, you set you auction start to a price that you'll accept no matter what.
Otherwise, you don't hold an auction. You open a shop. biggrin

Yaaay! *is loved* ^__^ heart heart Lillico makes me feel special!
And Roach, I know. But I had to vent. In fact, I don't even need gold o.o; I'm just a bored college student, which drives me to do random artwork, lol. But a night of bumping with no bids can drive a girl insane, lol. As far as a shop goes, I tried that o.o; Didn't work, because I'm more of a person who does things when she wants to rather than when she's forced to ^_^;; Every time I've tried to open a shop, I've had unfinished waiting lists, which makes me feel bad, but not bad enough to do the art, lol. Yeah, yeah.. bad kitsune. lol. I have to go get ready for work now. Thank you for the support, everyone biggrin

KikiKitsune And Roach, I know. But I had to vent. In fact, I don't even need gold o.o; I'm just a bored college student Now is my turn. College has barely started, and I'm getting sick of it. Quote: As far as a shop goes, I tried that o.o; Didn't work, because I'm more of a person who does things when she wants to rather than when she's forced to ^_^;; lol Same here. That's why I pushed my prices HIGH! The only reason why I opened the shop was because I had an artist's block and I needed something motivating. It worked for a while, but then I found myself blocked again, so I pushed the prices up so that I don't ge many people on my butt. ^^; Now, if I find something really, I mean REALLY motivating and inspiring, I'd do it for free. It's not about the gold. Quote: Yeah, yeah.. bad kitsune. lol. I have to go get ready for work now. Agrees. ^_^ Bad Roach, too!

I bumped for like.. 5 days with no bids at all... sweatdrop not only was it embarassing but the R&C is so.. intimidating to me.. haha I ended up with a 7.5k high bid.. and not that I'm complaining (cause I really don't need the gold as well..), but it just makes me wonder if my art is really that bad.. sweatdrop

That's part of the reason why I've yet to do an auction.
I have a hard enough time getting people to merely post comments about my stuff in the picture post... what's gonna happen when I try and get people to bid on it?

the first art auction I had was actually better than the second one... I'm not sure why though... because I had some really awful examples for my first art auction... ended up getting autobuy for it whee
the second auction I held (the one ending with 7.5k), I thought I had better examples for it.. (well at least on the last day) but meh.. domokun gaians and what they like are so weird sometimes...

*shrugs* Often times the people bidding aren't artists so they can't really tell what's quality versus what's not. And in that case, they typically go for their favorite style, which is probably anime since they're here. But anime has lots of different styles within itself..

My thoughts exactly o.o In the past few days, I've seen scribbles selling for more than my auction. I really shouldn't be complaining about my high bid right now.. It's just that I have the ending date set for a month from now o.o;; And for the few days that I've been bumping with no bidding going on, I don't know if I want that to go on for the next month, lol. My first auction I only ran for a week, I think. The high bid went to Aeriana for 13.5k, and people were still bidding after it had ended ^_^;; I had to make them go away, lol. So I felt that this one might do the same. Oh well, like I said, I still have a lot of time left, so I'm trying really hard to be optimistic!

Also, with long bids like that people like to wait until the last minute, so yeah. You might have awhile without much bids. confused
