okay..like..honestly it was so boring!
My favorite character, Jacob, did have like..a major role in this book, so that was pretty cool but a whole bunch of nothingness happens!!
The beginning was good, with Bella's 18th Birthday and all Then Edward left and she was all depressed And like the next 250 pages were boring as hell
Bella is just moping around being all sad and nothing much happens between Bella and Jacob
It only started getting cool when Alice came back which was like..in the last 100 pages of the book And then when you see Edward again, he, at least I thought, was being such an a**..
It took me 5 days to read New Moon. I couldn't keep reading for hours straight like when I was reading Twilight..

Well, I guess it all depends on the person. I thought New Moon was brilliant.
I loved it to pieces, just as much as I loved Twilight. I was sad that Edward left, but elated that I got to learn more about other characters (AKA Jacob). I didn't really find the middle too boring. Sure, it was less exciting than the end and beginning, but I didn't feel as though I had to force myself to read. Bella's thoughts kept in interesting and made me want to keep reading.
Also, this book introduced a lot of things that set up some good stuff for Eclipse. There is going to be an explosian of excitement in that book.

I kinda agree with you .... it was not as good as twilight, but i think it needed to happen ... there needed to be that "absence makes the heart grow fonder" type thing. and i dont even like jacob all that much ... which maed the middle even more painful...
i'd just say the middle was LONG ... not bad ...

I got bored with all of Bella's emoness. and I was mad when Edward came back with her and acted all princely and what not when he had left her like that, and then Bella decides that she'll take Edward over Jacob. I knew it was gonna happen. But. I still got mad. -whimpers- Jacob was so.......unbelievably giving, and then Bella came back and was all like "BYE NOW!"
=S yes. I was mad. at Edward.. =) -prepares to get pelted by rabid fangirls hatred-

I did enjoy Twilight better [because I'm a BellaxEdward fiend], but New Moon was very good in my opinion. I like seeing the emotional side of Bella. Angst is so...wonderful. x3
I finished it in six hours.
Although I want to know what the bloody hell Victoria is planning. The neglect of her evilness bothered me. And is Edward is going to change Bella in the next few months...because technically, if he doesn't, the Cullens and the Swans are as good as dead.

I loved New Moon, even though I'm completely obsessed with Edward. heart The ending pwned...and yes, it set up a lot for Eclipse. I've always liked werewolves too, and even though I didn't like them much, it was cool to see what they're like. I can also see how a lot of people wouldn't like it...the middle was so long and nothing much happened. But I think without it, the end wouldn't of been nearly as good.

I would never say it sucked. it was a little boring and slow but it was probably necessary for the progression of the story. We learned a whole lot about Jacob. I wish that Edward had been in more of the story, that part of the book bummed me out. But we wouldn't know how deeply Jacob loved Bella if Edward was around.

KiraLight Well it didn't really 'suck' I was just extremely disappointed with it.. i completely agree. the first chapter i was like yes! this book is going to be great! but when i finally got the book and read it i was a little disappointed. edward was barely in it and bella was so indecisive i was getting mad at her. and then finally when they get back together its just like 'i love you 'no i love you!' *sigh* i dont know. i hope the next one is better.

*agrees with person above me*
I was hoping it would be more dramatic when he came back...but it was like "I love you" "No, I love you" ><;
I didn't really like Jacob, but after reading New Moon I liked him a bit more....I just wish they could still be friends crying
Eclipse is gonna rock. ^_^

Hurrah! Someone esle who thinks New Moon wasn't that great (I only know of myself and TallySharps, and now KiraLight).
I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought it only got interesting when Alice came back! (and yes, Edward was being somewhat of an a**)

I didn't like it mostly because of the 300-some odd pages without Edward, and the fact that it just didn't flow quite like Twilight did. I suppose I'm just a squealy romantic underneath though...Edward's amazing-ness really drew me into Twilight, and Jacob didn't quite meet my expectations. He was just...I dunno. Less-than-amazing. I was hoping for a little more out of him I guess. I did like it and want to read it again, but I'm definately not a HUGE fan of Jacob Black.
