Before any Crew Member or anyone else attempt to delete or move this topic, I have to explain something. I would find this topic much more suitable in the main forum, as it discusses about the game, and the upcoming movie. I would like for it to stay here in the main forum.
I'm sure most people, or everyone here knows about DOA: The Movie that's coming out, right? Personally, I think it's going to be horrible. I'm a huge DOA fan, however, the actresses from the movie barely looks like the characters from the game. Which kinda ticks me off. They could have gotten close, I mean, they did an "okay" job with Tina, but Helena doesn't look French, or even have a French accent. And what about Kasumi? Kasumi is supposed to "look" innocent, cute, and hot. The actress that plays her in the movie doesn't really portray her, at all. I can keep on ranting, but you get the idea. Oh, and why is it that the movie seems to be based on the five girls? What about Hitomi? What about Leifang? What about all of the other males? Sure, they're in there, but it doesn't seem like they have the main role. Which also ticks me off.
My friends (who all plays DOA), thinks that this movie will be completely horrendous, and probably will refuse to watch it. They think it's a mockery of DOA.
What if the storyline is different from the game, how would you react to it? Here's what I think, when I first heard of the movie, I thought it was going to be great, until I saw the trailer. In a way, I'm "glad" they don't have Hitomi in it, since they'd probably make Hitomi look really bad. And since Hitomi is my favorite character to use in-game, I'd be incredibly upset. What do you guys think about this? Be honest, give your opinions about this. I want to know what everyone thinks about all this.

I don't think you're suppose to compare it with DOA the game.. i think it's trying to be different (sorta like the Batman cartoon series w/ Tim Burton or The Batman on Kids WB) The movie makers are probably trying to portray doa in a different way.... Just look at it as its own movie. And to tell u the truth I'm quite pleased with the actresses.... Tina has the country vibe, Christie has the badass thing goin on.. and to tell u the truth I like Ayane better in this film. In the game, Ayane is a cliche'd anime character; innocent girl with bad past can kick a**.... In the movie she has this badass look to her... and shes filipina like me too! lol The characters are roughly similar to the game, but I dont think they can be exactly the same. Because DOA is an anime.. and the movie is real life. Also, when they do the auditions for finding the actors, they can't just look for looks, they have to look for acting skills, and especially martial arts skills (since this is a kung fu movie) Oh and Hitomi is in the movie smile U just see her in the background. I take it you haven't watched the new trailer and clips for the movie, eh?

(I'll probably complain more once I finish these trailers and see what Hitomi looks like) thats okay... you can never complain enough smile Christies hair is blonde... but dyed to the point where its between white and light blonde. I dont think itll look good if it was pure white... sad Then again.. thats just me.. once again tina looks different because this is the movie makers way of portraying the game.... so obviously there are bound to be some changes........ She's suppose to be the best character in the movie with all the funny lines and all... but then again.. thats what I heard.. so yeah...

To make it even weirder, I saw Liu Kang. >.>; Rofl. Anyway, I saw half of Tina's trailer, not bad. And as for the trailer with Christie, I didn't. I'm just going to be patient like everyone else and watch the movie when it comes out on theater. Watching too much trailers spoils everything. neutral

I'm just going to be patient like everyone else and watch the movie when it comes out on theater. Watching too much trailers spoils everything. neutral

smile why did ayane head band look different...and why did christie have long blonde hair? when she have white albino hair in the game and why did she talk so much...and ...and why did tina have english accent?...and they did change the story a little i think...and i thought christie work for company...but why is she being capture too... scream ahhh...im dieing to see the movie now... burning_eyes
