A thread made specially for Ori and Erosia on their daring wanderings of the many lands of the Pride Lands RP. Be wary as random lions/lionesses maybe asked to meet this wandering pair. What will happen after that is out of my or Mya's hands. ^^

Ori slowly trotted through the on going brown grasses of the savannah plaines. For having managed to get away from a suffocating pride and out on his own this kind of sucked. He expected it to be at least a little funner than this. Trotting through the grasses with no one, not even a bird, around. Even for his adult mind this was boring. After a little while he spotted a scraggaly tree that for out here looked fairly inviting. Moving over to the tree Ori layed down and sighed. The sun beating down upon his dark mane made the heat almost unbearable but he stood it fairly well. Lying his head down between his paws Ori closed his eyes and fell into a very light sleep.

Ah, the peace and quiet of the noon savannah...So desolate sometimes it hurt. but, even so, Erosia wished dearly it was another of those dull days, where all one could do was watch the grass grow... If Ori opened his eyes and looked down, he'd notice the pebbles dancing on the ground, trembling, until it would seem as the earth was rumbling itself... Or was it just the sound? If he turned his head to watch his back past the tree, he'd see a cream lioness running for her dear life, followed by a massive gray thing that left behind a large trail of dust.
"HEEEEEEEELP!!" Erosia pleaded, hoping someone would listen. But what could they do? And when would that darn rhino stop chasing her? All just because she wanted to have a drink and accidentally fell on lake, where that beast happened to be grazing... It wasn't like she wanted to be soaked wet!! She climbed a life saving boulder, getting out of that pointy horn's reach. But her relief was short lived, as the rhino stood there, waiting for her to come down. Not the best of days...

The rumbles and shouts for help knocked Ori from his light sleep instantly. The rainbow lion leapt to his feet and searched the scenery from beneath his tree for the source of the screams. At first he saw nothing but then he spotted a lioness trapt on the top of a large boulder with a rhino peering up at her from the ground. Ori growled and the fur on his back stood up. To see a lioness trapt and in trouble irked him to no end. He had to help!
With no plan and no one to help him Ori rushed forward towards the rhino and the trapt lioness. He came up fast and roared hoping to scare the rhino into running. He let out another burst of speed towards the rhino and leapt at him, grabbing a hold of one of the rhinos feet with his claws and sinking his teeth into the rhinos heel.

The massive beast only became more enraged with the pain, trying to trample the furry thing clinging to it's heel furiously. But, seeing it wouldn't work, with a shine of it's magnificent stupidity, the rhino decided to turn around and charge to the tree, to get Ori off. Supposedly. Even if it ended up knocking itself out against the tree...
Erosia watched the happenings from her perch, seeing the rhino fall to the side with a large thud. "You okay???" she shouted from the rock to her saviour. A large cloud of dirt had been raised form the ground, clouding her vision of the duo.

Ori held tight to the rhino's heel even as he was knocked against the ground as the rhino ran. As the rhino hit the tree he was jerked loose and hit the ground now dizzy, dirty and with some minor pain in his jaw. Slowly he stood up and staggered a bit before he regained his bearings and balance.
As the dust settled Ori glanced back at the rhino now completely knocked out. Ori's body was covered with so much dust it almost turned him completely brown. "I'm fine. Are you alright?" He asked as he shook the dust from his body and turned to look at the lioness on the rock. His eyes widened as he realized who was standing on the rock. "Erosia?!"

Erosia chuckled inwardly, watching the brown-ish lion shake off the multiple layers of earth on his fur. How did he knew her? However, after a few more shakings... "Dude, Ori???" She leapt down from the rock, raising one more puff of dust that made her cough. "How about some rain?? Dammit!!!" she groaned to herself, waving her paw to try and clear out the dust.

Ori glanced around himself at all the dust that was still floating around in the air and then looked back at Erosia. "What are you doing out here Erosia? And why was that rhino chasing you? He looked a little pissed." Ori said while closing the large gap between himself and Erosia and sitting down in front of her.

Erosia eyed her paws and limbs, the fur clustered in dry mud patches. It made her growl of sheer annoyance. "Tsheh..." she groaned, sighing to herself before turning to Ori. "Ever heard of the word 'wanderer', Ori? Meaning 'no permanent place? The question should be more why are you out here." she said dryly. Being rather emotional, it was hard to seperate anger towards one thing from speaking to someone... Still, she gradually calmed down, softening. "Well, I was just drinking water on a lake where that thing happened to be bathing, and I slipped in the mud. So I got all wet, and obviously not happy. But that stupid lump of leather hide decided I was invading his territory, thus me being here."

Ori blinked in surprise by Erosia's little angry outburst but let it go as his sisters and mother were always grumpy so he was used to their verbal attacks. "Well being as I am now an official wanderer myself that is my reason for being out in this desolate region." He replied while oddly keeping his temper down had it been one of his sisters who had blown up at him he might have had more to say.
"Well that sure explains why he was so pissed." He said with a grin. "I'm surprised you didn't try and take him on." He teased in his own way and winked at Erosia figuring she would have a remark to his last sentence. He just wondered what it would be.

Erosia eyed Ori, a brow raising. Yes, he was teasing her, but her mood was way too edgy to let it pass... "Sure, I'd try to bring him down with my mighty tackle of doom, only to turn into a cream and crimson smudge on the ground, so the vultures would have won their day, and everyone live happily ever after. Oh, except me, since I'd be dead!" she said while pacing around, snapping to Ori on the last word. Still, it managed to calm her down, taking several deep breaths afterwards. "Okay... now it's out of my system... Sorry about that..."

Ori nodded thoughtfully to Erosia's retort to his comment and smiled at her. "It's alright. I kind of figured you'd have something to say to my words." Ori replied and then glanced over his shoulder at the sound of a grunt. "What do you say we get as far away from him as we can? ...Now." Ori said and then walked past Erosia heading away from the rhino. He went a few feet and then turned to see if Erosia was going to follow him or go off on her own.

Erosia's ears twitched, glancing to the rhino from the corner of her eye. "I'd say it's a fine idea..." She trotted to his side, with an unsure grin. "How about running?" she proposed, her steps getting quicker each time she laid her paw on the ground.

Ori glanced back towards the rhino and that was all it took. "Running sounds perfect!" Ori exclaimed and then took off staying slow enough for Erosia to catch up to him and then speed up faster from there. "Which way you heading?" Ori asked in a loud tone so Erosia could hear him.

"Let's go!" Erosia sprinted after Ori, just wanting to get the hell out of there. "Anywhere away from rhinos would be fine. Though even more perfect would be somewhere with water. The oasis?" she asked, loud as well. It was hard to keep a conversation when running fast...
