So does anyone else have an obsessive fascination with criminal psychology or simply psychology for that matter?

Check out this site if you do-
http://www.crimelibrary.com/

I've been reading case studies from the index of that site all this week and it is rather startling what people are actually capable of in rationalizing their obsessions.

Well this college semester is looking like it's going to hell... I'm taking 4 classes (math, accounting, macroeconomics, and marketing) and I've already failed two of the tests for two of my classes... my Macroeconomics class I think I can fix if I put a little more effort in (like actually reading the book) and my marketing class's test was just annoying and the other two are take home...

What irritates the hell out of me thought is my accounting class.... Today was a review day... so the teacher spends maybe... 15 minininuts on the chapters were going over, talking to fast I can barely type it all down, and then she gives up some financial statements to do that don't even have any relevance to the chapters on the test... anyways... I'm doing the assignments and doing them badly... at first I think I'm actually getting this but when I take up the assignments up to the teacher and see the long lists of X's I re-evaluate my knowledge of the subject... so I'm going over the problems and trying to do them right this time... and of course I only get one out of the 9 problems right... so then the teacher explains it to me and honestly... I'm still not getting it... not a problem if she... ya know... HELPS ME OUT... but no the class gets out at 12:45 (it's 12:30ish then) and she pretty much packs up and leaves.... I'm sitting at my desk, confused as all hell... and SHE ******** LEAVES stressed

Now if that’s not bad enough I pretty much pack up and leave as well, if you can't tell by now I was kind of pissed at her, and so I go outside and head over to the people I usually hang out with (notice I don't say 'friends' that’s going to be important soon) and the first thing they say to me is 'dante' (the guy from clerks) Normally this wouldn't have irritated me too much but today I was in a bad mood already and I pretty much to them that I wasn't in the ******** mood to deal with this name crap today.... well what do they do? they keep calling me that... sure one of them asks me what’s wrong... but in less then five mininuts (thanks to some advice from one of her friends) she calls me Dante again and at that point I simply leave.... I get my parking validated and just leave... do any of them actually bother to ask what the hell is wrong with me or anything along that line? no... do any even care if I was acting the polar opposite of my usual self... no... and at this point I realize I was a bit of a fool to think these people could ever actually be considered friends.... the only time the guys would put in any effort to care about someone is if that someone was a girl and crying... anytime the girls would do that is.... well as of yet I really haven't seem them give a damn...

Oh yeah and it took me an hour in traffic to get to school today stare

Long story short....

It was a bad day made worse by the fact that the people I know online give more of a damn then the people I know in real life.....

Oh I have Macroeconomics as well and I really am hating it, probably one of the reasons I did not list as something I am ready to teach.

But as to those that you hang out with, it is in the nature of people to shy away from having to actually deal with the intricacies of another person's problems, mainly because such things are enigmas to us. This is the reason my Biology professor calls psychology a pseudo-science. The human mind is always changing and evolving; it is never the same from one moment to the next. And science...a logic defined by recordable numbers and dictated scales can not match well with the concept of the mind and it's subjective nature. So on to my point lol, people are scared of getting involved, which seems to be the case here Jan.
You teacher refused to help you out because they probably just wanted to get to their break time, or what have you.
My mom always thinks that it is best to expect the best in people and simply be disappointed now and then. But I am of a far different opinion. I often expect nothing or the worse in people and am rarely disappointed in my hypothesis, but when an individual displays characteristics that are not as easily influenced by social standard then I am overly impressed. My advice to you as to finding good friends, go for those that stray from the social standard and know how to think and act on their own, those are the sort of people that will be interested in helping their friends and getting involved in the difficulties of life.

A very accurate synopses of my chemical biology class:

Teach': Well, here the peptide connects with the receptor and triggers the RNA to be recombined and then go on to, say, make venom in a snake. (long description of how they get venom from snakes and make antibodies from them and how it could be done in bacteria.)
Eek. I am deathly afraid of snakes. If you want to try and find the way to transfer that gene to a elephant, so it would sweat poison, that could be your paper for me. Anyways, off topic.
So these little protein chains bind here and they take an atom away from the receptor over here and that doesn't allow the synthesis to occur.

(after receiving a test of mine, after class)

Teach': Why are you not using detailed descriptions with very technical terms?
