Kids are always growing and doing new exciting things. This thread is for sharing your excitiment (or aganony) over the newest milestone in your child's life.

The baby's getting herself up on all fours now. She's getting ready to crawl. While it's exciting that she's growing and developing as she should I'm also a little anxious about her finding more mobility. Unlike my first daughter EVERYTHING goes in her mouth.

I'm pretty sure Lucien can read, but he doesn't like to admit it. (We're pretty sure because over the summer he couldn't resist asking Daddy about something on a movie screen - no, there was no voice-over.) He'll be going to school next year, and I'm desperately trying to get A 3-YEAR-OLD to be reasonable and actually answer questions, or to read when asked instead of only when no one's looking.

In more timely milestones, I'm due in 6 weeks, and I'm really excited/worried about how the little guy and the new baby will get along. So far, Lucien is okay with giving the new baby clothes for Christmas, but all the toys are *his*. Also, thanks to Pirates of the Caribbean, Lucien has now officially learned the proper placement of the word "bloody" in a sentence. sweatdrop Well, at least we've no plans to travel to Britain anytime soon.

Wow. I still remember my first date. It's an exciting time for a gril... I have yet to be on the parental side of that though. *giggles*

My stressor right now is that the baby 6 (and a half) months old is already pulling heself up on the furnniture and if it's something big like the couch she is walking along it. I thought it was bad that my first one was walking at 10 moths. I'm worried that this one's going to be walking even sooner. *sigh*

Don't invite for it shall come sooner than you think, or so my mother says. She's a stable source of information for me.

That's one strong baby! I say if she's able to walk, let her. Don't let her push herself to much but if she's able to do it, allow her some leverage to try it out. I know it's stressful but it's also a big tear jerker.

Yes, my mom's a great source of information too. Right Ms Jo. wink *giggles*

Yeah. She's always been strong. She had some good kicks while she was in the womb. Even at her last check up the Dr said; "It's not often a baby gets the better of me." after several failed attempts to look in her mouth. The doctor did finally get a look, but... *laughs*
I agree. I believe in letting my girls do what they are capable of doing, but it's still kinda stressful once they get mobile.

Well, the baby has taken her first steps alone. She will take a couple of steps from one object or person to get to a person.

Weeee stealing onto my Moms comp, I so miss my internet!!! xd

Well lets see...Cameron rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time at breastfeeding class on Dec 18...want to hear a room full of woman squeal...lol

Then that same week while I was smoothing his baby lotion on his bath I sat him up to get his back and realized he wasn't leaning into my hand like normally...I moved my hands away a little and viola, baby sitting on his own eek

And after that lying down just didn't cut it any more only position he wanted to be in was sit...lie him down and he'd slid hes bottom so he was scrunched up in some queer shape.

Last week the little dicken figured sitting was no longer good enough and standing gives the best vantage point for gawking at the world so now when we are watching the Baby Einstein DVD and hes suppose to be sitting and I grasp his little hands and try and pull him into a sitting position he locks his knees and stands instead rolleyes And then the week he insited he can support himself by holding onto me instead of me holding onto him... sweatdrop I swear he's gonna run before he walks or crawls, hes got three older little cousins who come and visit him every other day cause they live next door, I think he just wants to play with them wink

Hopefully the next time he does something I'll be able to get on the comp right away instead of typing my fingers off trying to tell you guys about everything at once mrgreen

Well I had to introduce a bottle a few days ago. I just wasn't ab;e to keep up with Camerons feedings. So now when he wakes up befpre his bath I breast feed him and just before he goes down for his long nap in the evening he gets a bottle of formula....

But thats not the big news....He had his first taste of ceral yesterday morning 4laugh Boy oh boy was he confused....he wanted to it it but was't sure exactly what to do, I only gave him a tsp to start on and today I gave his a tbsp and he actually cried cause I wasn't giving it to him quick enough. And he gulped it down, he loved it!!

I can't wait to start him on other foods....

Who old did everyone start their kids on the bottles of baby food...Cameron will be 4months on the 26.
