The dark earthy brown male had not noticed his transition from adolescent to adult, but he had. The change had been gradual his mane growing slowly, his body becoming heavier. All of that was swept away by his current traveling, Tisha would never see her little red boy grow into a kind and gentle adult, and she probably would never see him again. The realization of this scared him, even more than the fact he was an adult now.

He lounged in the grass laying on one side, his left side stiff and rigid looking, the pus and infection was evident in his deep wounds. They had been healing, but not soon enough. He was jumped by two hyenas that had tried to eat him, his scapula was all but crushed, and his leg which had always had a limp was torn apart, the bone could no longer be seen, but at one time cream colored bones could be seen. He was awkwardly positioned so that he wouldn't lean against the hurt side.

He hummed happily, even in his state he was smiling and excited for each new day, the pain inside of him was much more unbearable than the pain on the surface. He was in one spot again, the Duma'bara, and for how long…well it was hard to tell the light red cheetah was saying he might need to leave, but for now he was here. It was another home, and it felt like his home. he had Kari, a beautiful pink cheetah with the heart and soul of a fighter, but she was so quiet.

He was lost in his own world, enveloped with all of his happy thoughts and of course the sad ones.

Phib might have been surprised to know exactly what it was his seemingly silly and humble mate did when she slipped off from the corner of his eye. He’d always known her to have a knack for knowing the kinds of plants that had healing properties, and certain ways to clean wounds to keep infection from setting. For the most part he’d chalked it up to being a talent of hers- Améh, however, made quite the living out of it.

She’d vanished again, both from Phib and the red land they were staying in. Now she floated- something like the wind, pale and nonexistent as she drifted. Usually it wasn’t important for her to actually make personal calls- just drifting about particular locations tended to aid those who needed her without expending much of her strength. She always kept an eye out though- sometimes it wasn’t enough just to be a haphazard passing wind. Things of a serious variety needed her attention. But picking through what was fate and what was not was a confounding issue.

She hated the fact that she was bound to keeping up certain rules. Had it been up to her- well, everyone would probably live forever and ever. She liked that idea- particularly as she feebly clung to her mortal love as long as possible. But unfortunately, things were not quite that way.

As she drifted in an almost ghost like manner, musing quietly to herself about various abstract things- a sudden pain in the center of herself broke her concentration. Pain- if she wasn’t careful, she felt it too. This one was strong, and it grabbed at her with many threads, and it took quite a moment to detatch the feeling. Not the wounds of an old lion, who just lightly played at her as she moved. There was much more life in that pain- and curiously, she reformed herself back up some distance away from the figure, and carefully approached.

There was a rock besides where he lay; and Ameh rose her small form up onto it. She did not have wings- but it was not her mortal shape either. This one was a pale bright white, her shoulders and throat crossed twice with the pale strings of stones and pearls, and the careful flowers crossed about ears. Her eyes had always been strange- but against the white, they almost glowed from the ring.

“What song are you humming?” The small female asked, her voice affectionate.

The earthy red male's body seemed to jump forward and at the same time pull back as he looked around him for the source of the voice. His eyes were half lidded and for a moment his eyes settled on her and then started to drift again. Like most creatures when Hasidi saw something unbelievable his mind ignored it chalking it up to be a cloud, or an odd rock formation. He did one quick look around and then his eyes settled on the pale creature beside him.

"Are you..are you real?" his eyes completely open, still glazed and dreamy as if he was in a far off place and his body was left, "Oh, the song. My friend loves music and she's always humming, it's something she does.. I cannot remember the tune, let alone carry it," he chuckled.

He rolled on to his feet in slow motion, his eyes never leaving her. His grotesque wounds seemed to breath as he moves, opening slowly and closing where most of the healing did not take place. The smaller wounds were already small thin white scars, but the larger ones seemed almost fresh.

Amédia smiled softly, although it was a tired frown which caused the corners of her eyes to sadly angle. She hated to see pain- and hated even more to feel it coursing slowly throughout her veins; mirrored from that of the male’s. His wounds were gaping and sorry, and inwards, her eyes traced about the various problems. A broken scapula- ribs probably none the better. Affectionately she lowered her head, her ringed blue eyes glazing with slight sorrow.

“It is a lovely tune.” She spoke, her ears gently raising. “I will remember it. My name is Amédia.” Améh explained, docking the use of her mortal name. She rarely introduced herself as such- but when she did healings, it was best not to associate her mortal form with that of the goddess.

“You are hurt-“ She spoke in a hushed voice. “What happened to you?”

"I only wish that I remembered more of it, I will have to ask her," he breathed in sharply as he realized the voice had a form, a name, and evne more so it was a lion. He thought she was just apart of the rock she stood on.

"I'm Hasidi, and those terrible creatures.." he paused thinking of what they were, "Hyenas, they attacked me a big one and a little one, they tried to eat me." He thought of Mafa and the little one, they were terrifying, with large claws. He shivered thinking of the horrid things they said, and even more so that he had voided all over himself like a coward in the shuffle.

"Amédia is a beautiful name," he smirked, "may I ask what brings you to the Duma'bara lands? They do not take kindly to lions."

"Thank-you." Amédia smiled, curling the end of her tail. The story was a painful one- but she listened attentively. She had always been a good listener. “Oh, I know. I mean not to bother the residents of this land with my presence much longer my dear.” There was a story behind this one- and she regretted that she could not look into the past and find it out. A lion amongst so many cheetahs- a lover of one? She adored love, and it brought some pleasure to her chest to muse on it.

“You are very hurt, Hasidi.” She warned. “Things do not look so well- what will you do?” She asked softly. She did not like asking questions of the sick- but, when she did her healings, she typically did have a bit of an interview. She had heard almost every answer by now, but they still filled her with some sorrow. She hated pain and suffering.

"I was not suggesting you leave, just saying. Lao is a pretty strong leader," he spoke happily before her next question.

Hasidi faltered, what would he do? What was that supposed to mean? His breath quickened in his chest, "Do you mean what is my next move? Stay with Kari, she is this cheetah...and I love her, and pray that I get better so that I can explain to her my feelings…w-w-without choking up."

He winced at the thought, the idea that he would not get better never occured to him, Kari had guaranteed his recovery, as had a few others. But could he actually be getting worse?

"In your opinion, am I dying?" he winced again involuntarily, thinking that word was bad enough, but saying it?

Amédia didn’t say anything for a moment, reflecting on the event slowly. “Yes, Hasidi. I do believe you are dying.” She hated saying those words. She hated to put on a show- but she had to take care in who she healed. She could not be tricked into healing someone who would later make her regret such a decision- and she had, in the past. This lion though... in love with a cheetah? She loved stories like that, and it made her heart flutter appreciatively. She wanted to embrace things like that. She was a bit of a hapless romantic.

“But things are not so bleak.” She said softly, and rose up from the rock. With a soft and almost fluid movement, she moved down from the rock, the small flowers behind her ears drifting as she did. “I can heal you, if you do something for me.”

She didn't like making a catch. But appreciativly, she rather liked this catch.

Hasidi was not the intelligent type, and admittedly he would say that he understood very little of what others told him, and some time later would figure things out. This was one of those moments that the earthy red lion needed, he needed a moment to think, to understand.

She said I was dying, but I will live? Heal me..? Something I have to do?

It was possible to see the wheels turning in Hasidi's mind, as long as you looked close enough. "What do I need to do?" He gulped silently meeting this new lioness he knew she wasn't quite a lioness, but what else could she be? He did not think with such a nice voice that she would make him do something he would regret or not be able to do at all...would she?

Amédia moved, and leaned towards the dying lion. He was a simple man- he seemed somewhat addled by her offer, and she humbly respected him for it. Too much emphasis on rashness- but it would be humility that would save this one. It was dangerous to do such tinkering randomly. What she did often effected the lives of countless others through the butterfly effect of life. She was always cautious about such things- surely, Fate would have words with her had she not been.

“You must tell her.” She said kindly. “Too many things go unsaid. If you died here and she never heard then that would be a greater tragedy then death. And one day, you may feel the urge to hate someone. Should that happen- you must forgive them.” Amédia spoke. “That is what I ask. If you can do that, I can assure you you will live. But healing isn’t always so easy- and it isn’t magic. You have to want to heal for it to work.”

“Is it what you want?” The female finally concluded, her head turning gently in front of his face- the pearls dangling from her delicate headdress gently tinkling as they moved.

"I do not carry hate my life has been a serious of unfortunate events, and the hyena attack was just these events coming to a head," his words came from the one place that they could possibly intelligent, his heart. He feared telling this lioness that he could never tell Kari his feelings, what if the beautiful pink cheetahess wanted nothing to do with him?

"I...I can't tell her, not yet. What if she doesn't want me? What if she finds me weak?" his heart pattered sporadically in his chest. He knew she was right, that if he never told her that she would never know, and might actually harbor the same feelings he did.

"Do you want me to tell her right away..? Or can I..can..you.. I mean," his words jumbled and he was left tongue tied.

She shook her head slowly. “You’d be surprised what a woman might want to hear and suffer in silence without. You must tell her, or you may not heal. To live takes many forces all lining up together. Mental power is not everything. But it is something. About as much as she could need to hear it, you need far more to say it.” With a gentle paw, she lightly touched his shoulder.

“I will heal you enough to make the journey back. And if you tell her, I promise you you will heal all the way. But if not, I do not know what may become of it.” Amédia echoed, and with her paw, gently ran it across him. It was hard to tell if it was out of affection- or if it was apart of her proposed healing.

She shook her head enough to loosen the flower, which danced down before being plucked up by the lioness. She pulled off one of her beloved petals, and gently sat it in front of his nose. “Eat this.” She echoed. “It will take away the pain for now.”

He nodded feebably as he listened to her and thought it would be nearly impossible for him to tell Chuakari that he loved her...but he understod the chance that if he said the words first she may return his feelings and respond with the same gentleness.

"I promise, I'll tell her, I'll spill my soul," he wrinkled his nose at the delicate flower and sniffed it, "Eat it...?" he reiterated what she said and sniffed it again. Closing his eyes he quickly popped it into his mouth, hoping that it tasted as nice as it looked.

(Will there be another rp between the two for further healing, or is it like an instantaneous thing? -ponders?-)

(( Only if you want to be <3 Otherwise, it’s sort of part of her healing process. It masquerades as being magical, but really she fixes things manually by just telling the body what it needs to do. Him telling her would kick out the final process and heal him completely <3 She usually asks for a minor task to be done in exchange for her healings. ))

It probably didn’t- Amédia had been told the flowers were bitter. They did not really do anything; but they helped her focus once a bit of her entity was floating around. Gently she raised a paw and touched the top of his head, running down from the head and over his back. She withdrew her paw after the stroke finished.

“You should start feeling able to stand soon. Your wounds are very serious, so it will not be instantaneous. Rest now, and when you wake up, go to your friend and tell her. If this is done, all shall be well.” The female thrummed, and bowed her head.

The dark red earthy lion was about to spit the flower out when she shifted and touched his forhead. He was so unuse to contact with anyone, lion/hyena/otherwise that it was a real shock to feel someone else.

"I'll sleep," he mummbled and swallowed ans quickly as possible, wanting the horrible taste out of his mouth. Medicine was supposed to be bitter, hadn't he heard that somewhere. Hasidi never once questioned this beings intentions, he accepted he would be healed.

Settling in slightly so that he was a little more comfortable, he limping leg tucked away out of danger, and his shoulder in a more suitable position, he looked up at her, "Sleep now?"
