To The End, Chapter One
Author's note: Okay, I know it's really short. I'm sorry. And I'm not really sure where this story is going so please tell me what you think.
Marie walked along the sidewalk, her messenger bag hung lightly over her shoulder. She had checked out of work an hour late, for she had nothing else to do anyways. An extra hour of work for her would do no harm. It was 7 ‘o’clock and the sun was already starting to set. The crisp fall colored leaves scattered across the ground danced with the light breeze. Her long dark hair blew lightly in the wind as she kept walking along the abandoned street.
She was almost to her apartment when she had walked past the music store, but backing up because something had caught her eye.
She stared at the poster, of five boys, that was attached to a window of the local music store. One boy in particular she just couldn't take her eyes off. The boy who she had grown up with, the boy who had lived across the street from her since she was five, the boy she the boy she had loved but hated, the boy's name who haunted her every waking hour, Frank Iero.
They had been close for so long, until he left her for his music career. He had been her best friend, her lover, and so much more. He chose his path-in the music business-and she chose hers'-as a writer-, but she could never forget about him, let alone stop thinking about him.
She scanned her eyes over the poster, reading words written. My Chemical Romance was going to be playing at a local bar tomorrow night at 9:00 PM. She felt a small shiver run down her spine, maybe she would go check it out. It couldn’t hurt.
She took a sharpie out of her messenger bag and pulled the sleeve of her jacket up. She sloppily wrote down when, where and what time they would be playing. She grinned to herself as she skipped the rest of the way home like a giddy school g.irl who couldn't get over her first kiss. She didn't care if anyone saw her either, nothing matter except that she was going to see Frank.
