It was a bright, sunny day. There were few clouds in the sky, and it was the right time of day before it would get too hot. One serval was out and about and enjoying life as he knew it. Fahari was walking peacefully, enjoying the scenery, enjoying the day, and most of all just enjoying the fact that he was out wandering around. It didn't matter to him that he was alone or that he might not find anything interesting to do, that just meant when interesting things did happen they were better appreciated.

However, when one wanders one should plan ahead a little bit. Even if it's just what direction to go in. That is exactly what Fahari had to do, and he was stopped to consider where he'd come from, where he knew some areas to be and where he thought he might like to be next. His yellow eyes went from side to side as he silently went over his options, wearing the slightest of smiles.

The silver lioness was roaming, she wasn't sure what to do with herself, she was just here and there. She was letting her paws lead her where ever it was that she was heading, she was bored.

She let herself collapse on the ground, her eyes roaming the surrounding area. Oh she was bored. She felt free, no one to look down on her, no stupid Maji. Oh how she was glad to be awway from that pathetic lion.

The lioness didn't exactly blend into the background, and it wasn't long before Fahari's eyes picked her out on the second or third time around. His faint smile widened a bit, even when she collapsed. Ever optimistic, and willing to strike up a conversation, he wasted little time in jogging closer.

"Hello there," he called.

She looked up and blinked a few times. That thing was small!

"Hello?" She questioned the little creature, it looked like a nice meal, but no, too much fur for her liking.

She didn't move, she was a lion, to her that did mean she had power that others didn't.

Any doubts he might have had based on the collapse dissolved when she spoke, and he was oblivious to the thoughts that went through her head about eating him- though he would have been grateful that she chose not to do so if he had known.

"What's your name?" He asked in a conversational tone, sitting down a couple feet away from her. The serval took a second to look her from nose to tail before smiling back at her face.

"Ithibati, yours?" She didn't have much of a tone to her voice, she wasn't one to care about strangers unless they tried to harm her. She licked at her paws and started to wonder whether the meat on this creature would actually be edible, but all that fur really did put her off.

The lioness' toneless self introduction didn't put off the serval, nor did the absent licking of her paws. Instead, he made himself comfortable by taking a seat and curling his tail around his feet. A smile was always present on his face.

"Fahari," he reciprocated the introduction, giving a mock bow, "Ithibati is a lovely name."

""If you say so." She continuned to lick her paws, they had to be spotless. Or maybe she could scare the creature, oh the choices she had to pick from.

"What do you want?" She was still ignoring the other mostly, just, her paws were very dirty, well they werent but it was a good excuse. She was in an irritable mood today.

Fahari took a moment to glance down at the lioness' paws, which were being groomed. Her paws looked pretty well groomed to him, but he decided not to comment on it. He smiled back up at her, even when she questioned him in a not-so-friendly seeming manner.

"I just thought I'd come and meet the silvery lioness I happened to see in the distance," he answered with a small shrug, "Am I intruding?"

She looked at him and smirked a little, "Surely... you would be risking your own life, I mean... look, size difference to begin with. Teeth size, claws size...." She looked down at him again, a sly smile now on her face.

This was fun.

Fahari raised an eyebrow and tilted his head at the lioness' suggestion and sly smile, it was an expression of confusion or interest, not of fear.

"You didn't look much like a threat," he replied brightly, offering her another shrug and then an explanation to ward off any offense that may have come from the comment, "Perhaps that's just me being optimistic in my view of others. You would definetely have an advantage if you chose to attack, and my small size could be more beneficial in an escape."

"Looks can be decieving." That was all she said for now, she started to clean her claws now, as she wished for them to be clean for her next meal, which could be sooner rather then later.

"Well, if you do mean to attack me I should head along my way," he said indifferently, still not moving away from the lioness. He wasn't stupid, but he was hopeful that she wouldn't actually act upon the words and instead was just trying to prove a point. Of course, Fahari had no idea how far she might go to do so. His ears flickered when Ithibati began cleaning her claws.

She had no plan to attack him yet, just play.

"Well surely, as prey, you would be making your own decision, not asking the predator."She didn't look at him as she spoke, too busy inspecting her lovely claws.

Some subconscious part of him was getting the picture, even if he was consciously not acting upon the desire to assure that he come out unharmed if she was being serious.

"On that note," he commented, grinning himself this time, "Do you, as a predator, often introduce yourself to your prey?" It seemed like an odd thing to do, but if this was all part of an attack it might well be a mind game she would do while hunting. Of course, the serval pleasently ignored this idea.
