Kat pushed the clinic door open. She remembered being in her a few times. But this time was different. This time. She wanted to try for an appointment...
And then she realised she wasn't sure who to talk to - Or what would happen...
She walked up to a person in random, "Hi, I'm Kat." She smiled, "Who do I talk too, to arange an appointment?"
Julian looked up from where he was organizing files at the desk, quickly giving the young woman a smile. "Hello, Kat. You have an appointment here already, I believe?" It was as much statement as it was fact, for the young man proceeded to search about until he located a file that looked vaguely familiar. "Kat Martin?"
She blushed "Oh yeah... I forgot I already did that- Thought I had to re-apply." She waited as he located her file, "Yep that's me. What exactly do I have to do?"
"No, you don't have to re-apply," Julian said quickly, standing up with the file tucked beneath his arm. "If you're ready, we can complete the appointment now," he added, adjusting the stethoscope around his neck. "I can just give you a quick check-up and then summon in one of the doctors to complete it.
Kat looked a bit arquard. "Is it going to be artificial insemination or... Me with a partner/friend?" She queiried wringing her hands together. She really wanted a child but the whole artificial insamination bit- Scared her.
Julian seemed to pick up on her unease and shifted his face into a more friendly and relaxed smile. Most parents weren't quite this nervous, so perhaps it was best if he acted more reassuring. "That depends on what you would prefer. Did you enter a specific preference on the form when you applied for an appointment?" he asked before opening the door to one of the private rooms and standing aside to let her enter.
Kat eased a little bit. "Well... I do have a friend- But he isn't always around and probably wouldn't want anything to do with a child..." Her voice trailed off as she thought, "I was talking to him after I aranged this appointment..." She blundered once more, "Would it be alright if well.. Maybe we can use him? I mean. I dont want to -do- anything with him... But I guess... Maybe if we do a...?" She trailed off once more, "He's in the car." She looked embarased. She knew he'd probably had a few couples kind of like this- Or atleast.. She hoped so.
"As a donor, you mean? Yes, that will work just fine, if you'd like. The spell will be slightly different, but I know it is easily done." Truth be told, Julian thought it was easiest this way. From his perspective, anyway. Then again, he wasn't the one that had to do the spell. "Would you like to do that?"
Kat smiled. "That would be great. I'll just run grab him?" Before He could answer she dashed out the door and returned a few moments later with a man who looked about 19-20, he had a hald racoon hald grey fox appearance. Kat re-aproched the nurse. "That's him."
Julian was surprised at the quickness with which the young woman disappeared. He fidgeted for a bit and then patiently stood to wait. He perked up when she came back, smiling and nodding. "Okay. If you will both step inside, I'll do a quick check-up and then have one of our other doctors perform the spell," he said, gesturing at the open door to the check-up room. "Ms. Martin, if you'd please take a seat on the bed."
Kat realaxed almost instantly, but stayed curious about how this worked... She dragged Mat into the room after her and plonked him on a spare chair in the room. She obliged and hopped up onto the bed. A spell? Cool... In the corner of her eye she could see Mat fidgeting feeling out of place. She smiled up at the doctor, wanting but at the same time not wanting to ask how the spell works.
Julian hid a smile at all of the fidgeting the poor young man was doing. "I'm just going to listen to your breathing and heart, and then I'll summon Licen for the spell," he told Kat, settling the stethoscope into his ears with the flat end against her back. "Are there any questions you have? Either of you?" he inquired, glancing back and forth between the two.
Kat shook her head smiling. It wasn't going to be so bad. Just glad there was no- male female contact between herself and her friend nor was there artificial incemination- Which made her think the child would be robotic... And this whole spell thing, she was used to. She was a shape shifter after all- Wait... "Are you dtill aloud to shape shift while pregnant?" She enquiered.
Mat on the other hand wasn't about to show Kat he was worried about anything an put on one of the most manly voice's, "Nah, Im cool." He forced himself to stop fidgeting, Damn that girl!

Kat had Das sleeping on her shoulder and Ali sleeping curled up on her lap. They'd just finished watching Bambi. And some how even the kitten felt the emotion in the film. She cupped her arms around the sleeping boy and stod carefully not to disturb either of the 'pasangers' and walked slowly through the house to Ali's room. Carfully she placed both Ali and his kitten in the bed she exited, pausing at the door to watch him sleeping. "Sweet dreams... Son." She closed the door an headed back into the lounge room.
Just as she flopped onto the chair her cell phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey it's me!"
"Oh my god! Long time no hear!"
"Yeah, sorry about that. I've been traveling through different plains."
"Lucky.."
"Hows life Kitty?"
"Same-o Same-o. I adopted a little boy."
"Really? What's he called?"
"Ali. His history notes say he was abondoned on the adoption center steps."
"Ahh, poor kid."
Arkuard silence...
"Hey, Kitty, you wanna meet up?"
"Uhh, I would but-"
"We could meet at a park or something so you could being Ali?."
"Yeah that I can do. Barton West Fields the closest to us."
"10am tomorrow then?"
"It's a date. Look I gotta go. I just put him to bed."
"Ok, see you tomorrow."
"Bye mate."
"Bye"
She hang up and sighs. Looking at her phone she said "If there was one thing I would change. Would be your leaving. I still love you."
She stood back up and put a few things into the kitchen sink, before heading to bed herself. Tomorow was going to be a really good time.

Kat and Ali made there way into the west feild. Ali looking slightly tearful are rather upset after being told he wasn't aloud to bring Das out today. After a masive tantrum and still loosing, he figured it would be best to leave it.
"Hey, Kat, Over here." Mat came running over and hugged her, "How's my girl?"
Kat's face broke into a huge grin, "Mat!" He hugged him in return. "I'm fine, This is Ali. Ali, say hi to Mat. Your probably going to see a lot of him."
Ali looked up to the big man. He scrutinised him. He had grey, fox ears, eyes traveled down... A grey racoon tail.. "Uhh your weird looking."
"Ali!"
Laughing Mat nelt beside him. "I know. It's a weird combination huh kiddo." He held out his hand to Ali.
Ali started at him, then at his hand. Finnaly he shook it. "Yeah it is. I'm like, a mouse, or something. I dont really know."
"Nice colar though! Did you buy that?"
Ali shook his head, "Nope. One of the nurse's gave it to me when I was bigger then when they found me. She said it was a present. But it's a bell so she probably thought she needed to keep track of me."
Mat laughed once more, "Yeah, they do that." He stood back up and ruffled Ali's hair. "Nice kid."
Kat was stunned. "I was going to say sorry about his attitude-"
"No need. Im used to it" He beamed.
Kat noticed Ali staring over at a bunch of trees. "If you want to go play you can."
Ali smirked and ran off in the direction of tree's.
Mat watched him dissapear then grabbed kat playfully into his arms, "I missed you." He planted a kiss on her cheek and procceded to hug her.
Kat blushing maddly took it as a great opertunity to try calm down, although all she could think about was him giving her a -real- kiss. "I missed you to Mat."
He pulled away and grabbed her hand. They walked around the field, Kat never letting Ali out of her sight. They talked for hours untill a tired Ali came walking back to them.
"Wanna go home now." And plonked himself on the floor.
Kat picked him up, "Alright, we'll go home. Have dinner and a bath, and maybe watch a movie again?"
"Yeah!"
Mat smilled. "Yet yourself a baby sitter for tomorrow. I want to take you out.. For a few drinks." He hugged kat.
"Ok. Just because I know you'll go galavanting off again in a few more days. You never stay in one place." She hugged him back and headded off home.

That night.
Kat met Mat at a smallish restatonte, it was quant. It had a redish warm glow to it. Inside, it seemed bigger then you'd have thought. The kitchen was off to the left, and tables seemed to go on forever into the back. They aproched the counter.
"Table reserved for two under Martin?" Mat said.
The waiter gave him a big cheesy smile. "Yes sir, right this way, sir." He led them to a small table by the window. Seated them and went off to do some random waiter thing.
Mat smiled over at Kat, "Long time since we did something like this, eh?"
Kat grinned nervously. "Yeah, I know. It's getting hold of you that makes it so hard." She giggled. Her purse was open beside her and the little pamflet she had to talk to him about was jutting out. It could wait... Right.
They studdied the menu's and ordered. The wait was probably going to be an hour so holding her breath she pulled out the leaflet and slid in face down across the table. "I was... Hoping... Maybe... You'd...?" She couldn't bring herself to say it.
Mat studdied her face for a moment. Picked up the leaflet and went white. "Hold up, one minute. Is this where we have to...?"
"Oh no no, its, uhh, kinda insemination." She squermed. Why now?!
With that Mat's colour perked. "In that case fine- Because I don't really want a child, but... That wouldn't really deam and being the 'daddy' to me." He laughed. "Ahh dinners here." He thanked the Waitress and looked Kat in the eyes, raising his glass of Beer "Heres to our kid, who not actually going to be mine" He winked as they clinked glasses.
Kat laughed with him, and also seemed releaved at the sight of the waitress. Giggling with him she raised her rum and coke to touch glasses and then raised it to her lips to drink it.
The night went on, and by the time they were headed home, both Mat and Kat were rolling drunks. They got back to Kat's house and Mat conked out on the sofa, while Kat toddled around to check on Ali and Damian, both of which were sound alseep, as well as the baby sitter in the spare room. With that she clocked off and went to bed aswell. Tomorrow... She was dragging Mat to the SMC clinic.

A few weeks had passed since the 'im=pregnation' Mat had dissapeared again as planned and Kat somehow managed to jugle between her two adopted boys, Damian seemed as if he was going out of his way to cause trouble with Ali. Who could do just as much evilness as the other. Ahh! Boys! Now she started to hope a little girl came of this. Atleast there'd be a posibility of keeping those two in line with another girl- Well.. Once she grew up? But.. If it was a little boy? Maybe they'd calm down?
A crash called Kat back into the real time. Damian screamed and Ali yelled. A sigh escaped her lips. -Why- did she have to have such a devil childed? And what -was- writen on that book? The front cover was empty of words and unless it was writen in invisable inc so was every page!
Tired and stressed Kat marched into the boys rooms, tweeked both There ears and marched them into the living room. "Your both grounded." She scoulded. "Never have I been so mad at -anyone- in quite a while!" Ali bowed his head, he wasn't really the mean type. He was shy but he would act differently with Damian. Why? Damian just stood there and seemed to glow redder with pleasure. She wanted to give him a good hiding- But that wasn't very good of a mother now was it?
"Your both to stay in your own rooms for a whole week! I dont want to hear a sound. You come to the table for breakfast lunch and dinner." She glared equally at them both, "Now go!" She pointed her finger and marched them to there rooms. "If I so much as hear a peep from either of you! I'll have you grounded for all eternity!"
After making sure neither boy tried to defy her words, Kat flopped lazily onto the couch. Heck being pregnant sent your emotions crazy. Not only that- But she had cravings for penuts more then ever! And if it wasn't penuts it was sweet things and all the horibly bad for you things you could think of that just tasted lovely. Argh. No wonder she was feeling fat rather then pregnant!
Oh well. It'll sort out. Maybe this next week of silence might help? She heard one of the doors open and a flash of red. Her temper rose sky high as he rounded on Damian. "What do you think your doing?!" He froze. Took a deep breath an then stealthaly dissapeard back into his room. Ok. This week may be quite. But it's still going to be stressful.

The birdcage:
A young-ish looking woman walks through the door. Her appearance rather throwing to those who cared to look at her. She had large black wings, with a few red feathers here and there. Cat like ears and tail. Messy red hair that just reached the small of her back. Her skin was pale, but had an odd sort of glow about her. She seemed to have a peaceful approach, but at the same time something darker. Her stomach was rounded with the growing babe she had in it, and one hand always seemed perched atop the lump.
She glanced about the room, looking for someone, or something, to talk to. Not seeming all to successful in that area she swooped down on the papers she saw around, reading various different things about the Birds. Well, it all seemed a bit odd. But just like her growing babe in her belly, there had to be a reason her came across this peculiar shop.
((A few day's later))
Kat re-entered the shop, she'd now visited this place nearly everyday since finding it, and had quite an atachment to the place- Or was it just the 'robin' soul of her baby calling out for more bird presence? Either or. She was happy to walk around the shop, looking at the cage's around the place. She'd even stand and talk for a few minutes to the birds, even though she knew they were just birds and couldn't understand the human language. "Pitty. You guys are quite cute." She giggled and refrained from adding, -But all birds are stupid- As her father would say... Had he still been alive anyway... She was sure that birds knew when someone was saying something mean about them though, as after her father would say that sentence, nearly all the birds in the premises came and- Well, he didn't smell nice for long. She moved her train of thoughts on, giggiling at the memory. Maybe she should save her pennies and buy a birdie just to annoy her father's soul? Now that would be fun. At that particular point, Kat's belly made way for a rather unusual shape to suddenly stick out the side. With a gasp of pain, her hands cluched at her belly and felt the little foot that was causing such discomfort.

Kat mooched around the house. She needed to go shopping for baby stuff... But- See heres her delema.
She wanted a 'goth' room. But... Something was telling her it has to be 'quant' maybe even, a Gentle red and gold colour paint, with teady's everywhere and cute things.
Yeah she liked cute and cudly. But what she kept seeing was a little bit- Over the top for her liking. Yeah she had a room stuffed with teadies... But It just didnt feel right.
Thinking about what to get she loaded half protesting boys into the car and took off. By the time she had arived into town she was already that annoyed with the boys that she was about ready to kill something. Or someone. And then she saw it. The Birdcage pet store.
Kat came swooping into the store. She looked agitated and seemed to find comfort in this place. Which seemed to infuriate her even more. As she strolled around the bell on the door chimed as two, one seemed to apear rather like a mouse the other a half uni half- Something, children walked in. The uni one of them was bright red, the other was silver/grey with a bell around his neck. Both peered curiously at the animals. Kat kept a close check on them, now Damian, the devil boy, would definatly let things lose to cause chaos. Which went with the ruddy chaos necklase- Which matched HER tattoo of chaos that was on her shoulder. She gave a ruffled snort. He was quite the little sod. Ali, quiet, reserved, mouse-like and shy. Would do what ever he could to get back at Damian- Which infuriated Kat more. And if it wasn't those to it was the constant need to pee and the abuse her abdomen was getting from her babe'.
Her gaze moved from the two children and traveled the store. Different things caught her eye. Damian made his way to the snake tank while Ali did the same thing his 'mother' did and talked to birds. "Hmpf" Kat stalked over to Damian catching his hand before he opened the tank. "Unless you want to die a slow and horible death I wouldn't even think about it. Mr." She dragged him away from the snakes- Quite certain she'd seen a poisonus one.
Damian gave Kat a death glare. And coldly followed her away from the snakes. Then loudly demanded, "Why are we in a smelly stupid pet store anyway with a stupid name anywho's!"
"Because -I- thought it would be nice to get a different pet for Christmas. But if your going to be such a pain I shall get you no more then coal!" The boy gave her such a terifide glance that Kat puffed up all warm inside. About time she shot fear of getting nothing into that boy. With that she summoned Ali away from the mice and rats he now talked to and pushed them outside. "Maybe one day..." Her voice trailed off as the door closed behind her.
They continued down the street looking in all sorts of shops. Just none of them seemed to keep Kat intereted before she started to get agitated.
The boys both dragging there feet up the next street that draws Kat's attention, perk up at the sight of a playgroup of kids. Although it cost 500gold to put both boys into it and the constant worry of what mischeif they'd cause Kat let them go play while she finished baby shopping.
She finally enters a paint store with the colour's she's looking for. "So its goldden red, pale blue and lavender..." She said as she placed each large tub into her trolly.. Thinking ahead she bought two of each. She wandered on down the aisils, picking up bits and bobs that looked interesting. Stared mindlessly at a nice blue carpet that would have finished the room nicely, but realising she's still have the two boys to collect and to find the car again- It wouldn't stay that nice for much longer. She'd already got nearly -every- baby thing she'd need under the sun. Ahh well. I guess the paint would do. Tomorrow. We get dirty! She paid for her items and set off for the park.
Expecting it to be a pile of rubble Kat almost tripped over her own feet, "It's still whole? I wish my house was like that." The two boys, reluctant to leave, yet the care takers couldn't get them out of there sights fast enough.
She piled them all back in the car, put her shopping in the boot and went home. By the time she'd gotten back- They were sound alseep. Silence for a few hours. Blissful.
