In the New Members thread you said what your favorite album was, now it's time to say why.
The Number of the Beast was the first Album of theirs that I got and that plays a huge part in why I love it so much. I love all of the songs from it, even the incredibly cheesy parts from Invaders.

For the longest while my favorite album by Iron Maiden was Powerslave, and this is mostly because I had heard the song "2 Minutes to Midnight" on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and really, really liked it. Then I got the album, and loved the entire thing. The song "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" especially stood out on that album, mostly because it was 13 and a half minutes long xd
Then, later on, my friend showed me Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, and played the song "Infinite Dreams," which I quite enjoyed, so I went out and purchased the album about six months later (I know, a long time, but I couldn't find it anywhere! stressed ) and ended up enjoying that one, too!
A Matter of Life and Death is, as everybody should know, the new album (any who don't must be hit with a brick scream ), and everybody had said how good it was on Gaia, so when it came out, I bought it. Come to find out that it was absolutely amazing, and I loved it, so that's why that one is my next choice.

My fave album HAS to be Powerslave.
It opens with farley short but breathtaking songs "Aces High" (full of enargy, full of life, it's what you think a WW2 Dogfight to be!) and "2 Minutes To Midnight" (Again full of enargy, desplaying the power of Bruce Dickinson's voice) which are incredibly catchy. They draw you right into the album and you just think "WOW!". "Losfer Words (Big 'Ora)" is one of my all time favorate instrumentals. The incredibly fast paced guitars with a killer drum beat and tune still keep you into it. "Flash of the Blade", "Dulists" and "Back in the Village" keep the dark almost fantasy like tone stick like glue to the intended theams and keeps you engaged 100% of the time. Then it leads up to the epic "Powerslave" which is what the album is all about and finaly, the climax of the album "Rhime of the Ainchent Marinar". 13 minutes long, depicting this old and well known poem in an enargetic scale that realy brings life to it.
This is Iron Maiden at their best and should NOT be missed by any Iron Maiden fans.

One of the Three New ones, the music is just beyond anything else they've done. I can't pick one though, they are always changing.

It's really hard for me to say... because I really like them all, even the Blaze albums. Though, for the sake of choosing, I will say Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, and No Prayer for the Dying. I just absolutely love the sound of Steve's bass in those albums. It sounds so damn beautiful!!!
Oh yeah, and as cheesey as that part can be in Invaders, it's rediculously hard to play. HAHA LOL razz

Fear of the Dark: Other than the fact that Fear of the Dark was the first song I ever heard, this entire album just...I don't know. It was one of the CD's that you end up having memorized every song within one night. ('cause that's what happened) I did think that Bruce was forcing his vocals a little bit, but he even said he did in an interview once...I'll have to dig it back up. @.@
Number of the Beast: Same as Fear of the Dark. I'm not really good at explaining why I love things. I suppose they just appealed to my ears the most. The music + vocals and such in these two albums just seemed to fit together really, really well. @.@ And this is the CD that I listened to in Study Hall every day in 9th grade.
(I know absolutely nothing about instruments, so I don't/can't go around saying, "ZOMG so and so is an amazing bassist and this song was really good because of it." So don't shoot me. @.@)

Fear of the Dark has the power and dark theams that Powerslave had, but also had a fresh new sound to it which relys less heavily on guitaring to deliver the songs, but more on tune to lyrics work. "Be Quick or Be Dead", "From Hear to Eternaty", "The Fugative", "The Spector" (I think it's called), "Chains of Misery", "Weekend Warrior" and "Fear of the Dark" are all VERY catchy! At least one of those songs is always stuck in my head.

My favourite is kind of a tie between Powerslave, which I just love because of its energy and force of album theme, and Dance Of Death which just has the very powerful destiny-like feel to it throughout the entire album.

It's my second favorite on that entire CD. whee I love Powerslave and Dance of Death as well. I just wish I could say they're all my favorite. They all have super amazing songs that you're just like, "Ooh, this is one of my favorite songs!" Eventually it gets to the point where you say that to all of their songs. xd

I can't seem to get into most of the songs like I can with some of the other albums. I LOVE "Wildest Dreams" and "Rainmaker", but the others I'm not so sure about.
