Post who you think the Gods of Metal are. After a while i might crown a victor in the struggle to become THE GREATEST METAL GROUP THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN!!!! My vote- Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. And personally I don't think Metallica is all that good but for some reason "their name has to be up there" so says my friend.

I should revise that poll maybe, take off the combination and Metallica shouldn't even be up there(I shouldn't have put it up there huh? I put them there for comic value just to watch them get crushed.) they aren't nearly as good as anyone else on that list. And No one voted for Priest. WTF?!?!?

i would say ozzy his infulens was / is just sooo inmense to the rest of the metal scene and there must be a reason for calling him the prince of darkness razz biggrin

chaos hellbound you cant just say a band you have to have the people like dio scott ian ozzy zappa (i know you people are like wtf zappa but its true) and also people like soundgarden and even modern day metal like korn and udvayne killswitch and them types of peoples BEGONE SPAWN FROM HELL! Anyways, my vote goes for Maiden, just because their sound can't be mimic'd(every band that has tried covering them has sucked at that) and because they influenced a whole new genre, not to menction 'Powerslave' and 'Seventh son of a seventh son' are the best metal releases ever.
