The air around the temple and its oasis was getting a bit chillier each day despite the regular heat from the desert. When the sun would sink behind the sand dunes, ruins, and trees, the sky looked like a wet watercolor painting made by a four year-old who hung it up before letting it dry; colors would blend and swirl, mix in odd ways.

This is was the little cream colored Malu saw before her for the time being as she paced around the stone steps of one of the side temples. Front paw would lob a stone off a step in a bored manner, ears twitching each time the rock bounced down its path. She had heard of so many Malu being alive….yet she had only really seen three. Where was everyone? Was her kind truly that shy or hermit-like that they just stuck to their own compartments?

Imena wobbled up the steps of the temple. She was filled with energy and she wanted an outlet, the sun was setting to her left and she paused to watch the last rays paint the sky before the darkness overflowed the sky. She turned away and continued her trek to the top. She stopped to rest and caught sight of a cream Malu. "Who're you?" she squeaked, bumbling toward the little one.

Pale yellow lanterns looked up from the stone she had balancing on her front paw. Talls ears flicked forward in a curious way towards this new, slightly smaller-than-her, and BRIGHTLY colorful Malu just some feet away.

"Who you?" the freckled little thing retorted. Her tone wasn't snippy or harsh, but quizzical and a little demanding.

Imena blinked at the other Malus abrupt tone, "I-I ask first!" she retorted as she wobbled closer, "But, I'm Imena." She plopped down next to the older Malu, and smiled pleasantly. The stars were beginning the shine in the sky and Imena glanced up at them. "Ooh! They're preety." she exclaimed staring up at the strange constellations.

((....Imena~ WHy are you so cute? TT^TT ))

Large eyes blinked a few times down at the azul and black hued Malu before following her gave up at the sky. It indeed was pretty. Half of it was a blue and purple that slowly leeched onto the failing sun burst colors.

"I likes stars. They do not have much color, but they are glittery and blink a lot." Her word's were prounced in a pricise manner. "I Enoa."

Imena blinked at the sky before turning to look at The cream Malu, "St-ars?" she blinked in wonder, "Wow! And you are I-enoah?" She asked curiously. This world was so new! She couldn't wait to see all of it! Her tail twitched in excitement at the prospect of exploring the new world. She had so much energy she knew she wouldn't be able to rest for a while. "What are you doing here?" she askked slowly, forming each word carefully. She wanted to talk better. Like how I-enoah was already talking.

Small shoulders shrugged lightly. "Bored. No one around." She didn't have the best reasons for being places.

It was in a small moment of silence that Enoa thought of something she thought was rather fun. "You want to see river?" she asked. her tone had switched rather dramatically to something slightly peppy, excited, and hopeful. however, the "river" she spoke of was nothing more than an itty-bitty creak that flowed somewhere from the trees and then inbetween two huge hunks of crumbling pillars.

Imena blinked in surprise, "R-river?" her tone was curious, "Wh-what's a 'river'?k" She stood up, her legs still wobbly and stared at the other Malu, "Where-is it? Can we go now? Is it fun?" She was bombarding Enoa with question because-well, because she was the only there to talk to. Suddenly, Imena sat down, her legs wouldn't support her little body anymore. "?" she looked up at Enoa in confusion, "Wha happened?" she asked.

"A river is whe-You fall down," the freckled Malu said quite frankly. Looking down at the vibrant young-one she spoke again, "you sit, then get up in a minute. Now, a river is..." and Enoa continued to tell the younger one about what rivers were and how water ran down them and they made pretty sounds and the like.

"We go now?"

Imena was slightly embarassed over the fact that she had fallen but she listened attentively as I-Enoah explained what rivers were and was fascinated, "Yes! Let's go!" she stumbled to her feet and glanced back at Enoa, "You show me?" she asked, as she did not know where to go, she hoped I-enoah knew so she could go to such a place.

"I show," Enoa stated and soon was making her way over the temple's grounds. She moved rather slowly, knowing from her exeriences with Odyss that some Malu fell a lot. That was all right though, as long as they didn't cry about it.

Some time passed and after much zig-zagging through ruins and grasses, even some sand, Enoa paused. "Here that?" she asked the brightly colorful Malu.

Imena followed the older cream malu, her steps slow and carefully placed so she didn't slip and embarass herself more. She was terribly grateful that Enoa didn't move very fast, she never would've been able to keep up. When Enoa stopped and asked her a question, Imena took a brief rest, "Hear?" she cocked her head and listened. A faint rushing sound floated toward her and she blinked in surprise, "River? Is that river?" SHe asked excitedly, as she hurriedly stumbled to her feet, "Can we go there now?"

"Yes!" Enoa exclaimed and she bounded through the marshy grasses. Landing daintily on a rock, she waited for the little Malu to come and see the gurgling waters.

"This is a river,"
the freckled one said and indicated to the inky waters that were touched with silver and blue from the moon. Little lightening bugs flew lazily from one river plant to the next, dipping over the water as they went. as a whole, the "river" was only about two and a half feet wide, but that made no difference to Enoa.
