SasuSaku
SasuSaku...it has a lovely ring to it, doesn't it? Sasuke and Sakura, from what I heard, is the most popular couple in the popular series, Naruto. (Not including SasuNaru!) But why are they such a great couple? Is it they just look good together? Are they destined for each other? What? Well, this is what goes on about SasuSaku from my perspective...
In the beginning of the series, Sakura was just like any other fangirl in the series. She just had a silly little crush on Sasuke because we was so "cool" and "good looking." But ever since they were set in the same team (I know, it's like destiny, huh?), Sakura becomes more developed and mature emotionally. After all, she cut her own hair in order to save Sasuke and Naruto (ok, mostly Sasuke) from death. This shows that she would risk her outer appearance for her peers (again, mostly Sasuke). She also deals with friends and family, such as Ino and her rivalry with her for Sasuke, in the story, so she has a lot of emotionally social problems. But overall, Sakura is a cheerful and cute girl with family and friends. She has a "pink" aura and personality.
Now Sasuke, on the other hand, is exactly the opposite (except for the fact that obviously he is a boy and she is a girl). Sasuke's life is and was nothing but sadness. His clan was wiped out by his bother, Itachi, who is now out to kill Sasuke. Because of that, Sasuke is cold and anti-social. He has a "blue" personality, or as some call it, "emo" (no offense). Sakura's cheerful "pink" balances with Sasuke's cold and anti-social "blue," which makes a good start to the coupling.
Throughout the series, Sakura's little crush becomes more and more, and Sasuke slightly becomes more friendly towards his teammates...sort of. There are also little hints between Sasuke and Sakura, such as the one time where Sasuke wakes up with the cursed seal demanding to know who hurt Sakura, then almost killing the enemies because of it. A couple minutes afterwards, he tries to leave with the curse, but got back his senses after Sakura unexpectedly (sort of) embraced Sasuke from behind, begging him and crying for him to not leave and to wake up. And who could forget episdoe 109? The famous episode whom which Sasuke finally acknowledges Sakura's feelings for him and thanks her for it. That episode touched every SasuSaku fan's hearts. Even though the result was Sasuke knocking Sakura out and leaving her on a bench, just so he could run away in peace without her begging him not to leave, the point is that Sasuke accepts her and is grateful for what she had done for him.
Now, as I mentioned earlier, Sasuke has a brother who wiped out the Uchiha Clan, and now wants to kill him. So now Sasuke's goal is to avenge the Uchiha clan and kill Itachi. But what would happen after he did that, if he did that? Well, I'm not entirely sure if this is true, but Sasuke mentioned in the manag that after he finishes his revenge, he plans to restore his clan. Revive his clan, eh? This is my favorite part.
How do you make a family? Well...when a girl and a boy love each other very much, they decide to...oh, you get the idea. So now, Sasuke needs a female to give birth to and restore his family, in other words, a wife. And the only girl he actually knows is, surprisingly, Sakura! Dun dun dun...but people are also fans of Sakura with other boys. So what would happen if there wasn't any SasuSaku (gasp) and Sakura married other men? (Even more gasps) Let's see what my little mind has to say about predictions. (Brace yourself, this might be a little bit offensive...if that's the case...then I'm sorry.)
Sakura and Naruto: Okay, this couple first came into my mind because Naruto has a huge crush on Sakura in the series. So if they were to marry, Naruto would probably be really happy. Their children would be fun, happy, hyper, and someone you wouldn't want to mess with. Naruto would probably even teach his older sons how to use the Oiroke no Jutsu (Sexy Jutsu). But that would make Sakura angry. But wait, what about Hinata? Oh yeah! In the second series, Naruto gives up on Sakura and might go to Hinata! So yes, Naruto and Sakura aren't very positive because Naruto has Hinata, and Sakura just doesn't like him that way.
Sakura and Sai: This couple is somewhat okay. There are mild hints in the Naruto time-skip series that Sai likes Sakura. Their children, some of them might become gay. Sorry to say, but Sai seems like a great uke.
Sakura and Gaara: Okay, this is my second favorite pairing (SasuSaku still owns all). Yeah, this couple is a little bit wierd and awkward. The children would have a mixture of light red to dark pink hair. Some of them would probably be great fans of Green Day! The sons would be good rockers, punks, and emos, whle the daughters would be cheerful, cute, happy, and scary as hell...maybe even some of them have the same "eyeliner" like Gaara.
Sakura and Lee: This pairing is also possible because Lee, like Naruto, also fell for Sakura's charms. Their children would probably be extremely strong and excellent in self defense, so molestors and kidnappers, watch out! but Sasuke is still by himself, so no help there.
Sakura and Shino: Kids will be pests. Get it? Pests, bugs? Oh...nevermind.
Sakura and Neji: I've heard of fans who like this pairing, so it's not new to me. Let's see, Sakura and HInata would be related, along with Naruto, hehe. Sokme of their children will might have the "Hyuuga Eyes" with no pupils. I can see it now, poor little Neji Junior crying and complaining to mommy Sakura that everyone at daycare is making fun of his eyes and calling him names. Cute, but no banana.
Sakura and Kiba: Not much to say here, except dogs. A lot of dogs. Dogs running and pooping everywhere.
Sakura and Itachi: OK, what? I have seen something like this before in fanart and in my dreams, but that's it. Some people say that this is another way to restore the Uchiha Clan, but Itachi was the one who wiped it out, I doubt that he wants to restore it again. So forget about this pairing getting married, no way, nu-uh, negatori, NYET!
And don't start saying things that Sasuke should go to Naruto. Male pregnancies only exist in my perverted little head, not in real life!
Ok, so the list of who Sakura can be with is endless, but have you noticed that in my predictions, SASUKE IS STILL SINGLE! And the Uchiha Clan is still...not. So how is Sasuke supposed to restore it if Sakura goes off with someone else?
What have we learned? So Sakura and Sasuke do not know each very well, but Sasuke does know her more than anyone else, and Sakura cares for Sasuke more than anyone else. And I doubt that Sasuke would go up to a random girl and say something like "hey, you're hot, wanna bare my children?" No, that's Miroku's job, and he's not even in the anime so forget about that.
So basically, Sasuke needs a girl to revive his clan, and he knows only one female, Sakura. So the conclusion, the whole point to SasuSaku and this essay...SasuSaku is what it is not because it's just an opinion, but from what I see and think, Sakura is Sasuke's only hope!
