Alright. Recently, i've been very keen on being able to 'hide like a ninja'. You know, blend in with my surroundings and such? Well, i've meticulously searched the internet, but reaped no rewards. So does anyone have any links or diagrams or anything that'll help me do this?
thanks. -Draken

OKAY!!!! Someone else like me, I had been looking that up too, I was particularly looking for a pair of Shuko. Which are hand claws, I only wanted a cheap pair or replicas for climbing trees, but you can buy really sharp ones, cost a lot but worth it. I'd recommend the eBay, they have some, but I have parental controls on, my Dad!!!! ARGH!!!!! But on Ask Jeeves they give lots of sites if you type in (Cheap) Ninja Shuko. Or on http://www.must-have-software.net/store/B0006TY5UQ/Ninja_Hand_Claws.htmlBut the hand claws were not recommended for tree climbing, but building, the people who bought them say they dig into your hand. They are a cheap pair though.

Uh, thank you very much, but I'm more into blending in with my surroundings. Not exactly climbing things.

If you want to learn to be sneaky and also learn how to use stealth combat read about sentry removal and read up on snipers. Good training would be to learn how to move on different types of surfaces each thing you walk on makes a diferent noise depending on how you walk on it. One thing I learnd as a kid cats and most other predatory animals walk toe heal most people do heal toe Native Americans and other hunting peoples picked up on this a long time ago it's qieter. It is said Ninjas had many different walking techniques some book show them it's up to you to decide if there true or not also one other thing walking side ways and swithching whitch way your body is facing makes it hard for trackers to figure out which way you were walking. Animal and bug calls can make people ignore little mistakes you make wile trying to be silent if they think it was just a cat, frog or cricket they may just walk away. I played paintball this a game but it helps with skills like sneaking in natural environment becoming aware of your surroundings sniper like stuff. Parkour free running look it up if you don't know about it there is nothing more ninja than this also Buildering look it up.

You usually know what places you'll go to that day, so choose the colors of your clothes wisely. Wear light, quiet shoes. Don't put on loud jewelry or have key chains hanging. Walk toe to heel. And learn how to squeeze your body into tight spaces. That's all i know, but it's always worked for me. sweatdrop

I've always been taught to walk with a glide step, heel, roll along the outside of the foot, to toe.
And majorly, I'm blind, so my hearing is just about all that keeps me in the game, so I had to learn to keep myself from making any noise at all unless it was on purpose so I wouldn't confuse my noise with someone elses.
Don't wear extremely heavy, or very baggy clothing. Shoes, light shoes, or none at all. Not much jewelery, keep your arms out from your shoulders when you move your arms, so cloth doesn't rub together, and take wide out steps for the same reason. Move lightly.
And if you're really into it, try going around for a full 24hour day in a blindfold that completely blocks off all sight, and rely on your hearing entirely. Eventually after a few weeks with days like that, you'll develop an acute ear for out of place noises, and know how from personal experience to keep yourself quiet.

you can get showered with tons of little things that make a great amount of difference (its the little things that count) in my dojo we were taught that you step into your turns you dont pivit with your feet. (esspessially if your standing in gravel)
but theirs alot of little things you can do (like moving things infront of you. or by making a urban gullie suit (spelling?)
corners are easy to dissapear into also...if you really want to get into it though...try to learn how to climb corners..its fun to mess with people! biggrin

Sometimes I have done Ninjitsu stuff with out knowing it... i can walk pretty much silently... I have been known to "hide" from people just by not saying anything and being consentrated on something else... like not doing anything so people don't pay attention.
But Climbing, jumping, hiding, and Ninjitsu weapons are things that interest me and i would seriously like to stop my hap ki do training to learn Ninjitsu

stealth is one of the hardest things to get used to merely because it takes ALOT of thought and if you are in a situation you may not be thinking completely about stealth. here are some tips.
for running, as nightwing said glide on your feet. howeverr the way you do it majorly depends on how far you are going, how fast yuo want to get there and what terrain yoou are on. for shorter lengths you would glide from heel to toe. for shorter lengths at a high rate of speed, glide from toe to heel.
for longer distances you should stay going toe to heel.
and for rough torrain or loud torrain sich as leaves or gravel you should stay toe to heel. this is so that your toe can find holes in the leaves, and find solid areas of gravel ect.
PRACTICE THIS ALOT!!!!
for hiding its best to wear clothing that sortof match the surrounding area or black. stay in areas that are easily accessable however are kindof set back away from where people would normally think to go. and the rest is kinda common sence; breath control, not talking, ect.
hope this helps
