There are so many people who aren't familiar with the Hmong people! Is that really true? I mean, whenever I tell a Japanese person, Korean, Chinese, etc. that I'm Hmong, they're like...."Hmong???? What's that???" Do you know what Hmong is? Or don't you?????

I think one of my friend's is Hmong...

But I barely know anything about them...

Are you serious??? Nobody knows HMONG??? I'm glad Kazaf77 knows! MAN! 8/9 people!!! COME ON! Okay, maybe it's because we don't have a country. No, it's not a slang for Asian. Hmong is a race, just like Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, etc. Our ancestors are from China, but then we moved to Laos. But we HAVE NO COUNTRY! So that's probably a big one. Anyone else/??? Or are we known as "Miao or meow?" I heard that somewhere....

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't Hmong peoples a minority in China? And they live like somewhere in the southeast part in China, like in the mountainous areas...
and how do you pronounce it? sweatdrop
Is it: hu-mong (like you say the 'hu' really fast)????

Its like my friend who is Urumqi..sort of Chinese asian with no country as well
