Okay. I just finished Progeny by Becky L. Meadows.
Summary:
Christian de Chagny is nineteen years old and realizes he doesn't look at all like his father, the Vicomte Raoul de Chagny. He also is a musical genius which also isn't one of his father's traits. He questions his mother, Christine Daae de Chagny, about this. Progeny follows through the plot through the eyes of Christine, Christian, and Erik.
Review:
Christine is horribly out of character. She's too beggy and acts like she can't take care of herself. Raoul isn't in character either.
Things were repetitive. Once it switched POV's there was some retelling which got old after a while. The plot was moving quite well and then the ending was sloppy and quick. Everything moved much to fast and the ending ended up to be rushed to a few pages. The book left you hanging at the end which made me ask questions (that part was good).
I am unsure if I want to buy the other book. I recommend looking for it in your library or something before actually buying it. Don't be sucked into the awful OC-ness of Christine and Raoul. We don't want anymore mis-lead Raoul haters. There is nothing wrong with him!
Has anyone read it? What do you guys think of it?
