I was working at my store (Barnes and Noble at Astor Place) and Carlos D. walked in, came to my cashwrap and bought three books from me. eek
When he came up, I said "Wow, I'm having a fan girl moment right now" and he laughed a little. I scanned his books, swiped his membership card and tapped the machine to tell him where to put his debit card. I touched his hand a little in the process. As his receipt was printing, I said "I'm impressed, I haven't been shrieking" and he laughed a little again. I then added "Yeah, you guys are my favorite band, long story, anyway here is your receipt, have a nice day." He said something like "you too" and left the store. I was shaking for a good twenty customers and I couldn't eat, nor listen to music while on my lunch break, I was so out of it.
Wow. I met Carlos D! He's my favorite! And everything!
*gets a drink*

[ASTROnaut Roland] eek you lucky oahgvdfbh i wish i had your luck. what did he look like? surprised He grew out some facial hair lately...he has a moustache and a little triangle of a beard (pointed down). He also has a little curl in his hair as well. Think Edwardian. He had on the waistcoat, a vest and a silk tie, but not the normal kind...I guess you call it a cravat? Anyway, he looked GOOD. I've seen him in pictures with the new look and disliked it, but in person...yeah, it suited him.

You'll be seeing more of him soon, I bet. xD No sadly enough. He was polite, but I initiated any conversation we had. Remember, I'm still the girl behind the counter. Most people don't bother with stuff like that. I hope I see more of him...he comes from Queens originally and so do I. I always wanted to ask him from which part he grew up in...

Did he buy a comic book by any chance? ^^; Nope, three hardcovers actually. One of them was about that NJ governor that came out of the closet. And yes, he does like Depeche Mode, a lot. And Dead Can Dance as well, come to think of it.
