Demetri's Journal

Welcome and hello! I hope that if you're reading this, that you have my permission. But you probably do, so it's all fine. You can look around, if you like. I'm sure no one will mind much. Don't scribble out any of my notes, though. Never know when they'll be important. Of course, they're probably a map in here... Somewhere. Good luck with finding it!

Oh, THERE'S that map! Took long enough to find it. I'll fold down this page so that it'll be easier to find.

Name: Demetri Roland
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Pokemon: Gardevoir

Starting Stage (Pokemon or human): Human
User Image
Physical Description if Starting Human: Short blue hair (though he's a natural blonde), blue eyes, and a small body. He wears long-sleeved shirts and sweaters all the time, usually with stripes on them that are blue and/or black. Black sneakers that are usually covered up by long, baggy black pants. He wears gloves as well, no matter what the temperature is. On occasion, when he's able to, he'll wear shorts and a normal t-shirt.
Some Physical Trait Suggestions for Human Side if Starting as a Pokemon: N/A

Personality: Overly kind, but not too enthusiastic unless the situation calls for him to be. Demetri is a good person by nature, and anger comes when he feels that it's needed. He's been known to fight for his beliefs, though he's still not very good at it, considering once the other side assures him that everything is fine, he switches sides. Betrayed only a few times, he knows what it's like to feel miserable. But each time, he bounces back, ready for another round. Once he's spent, though, he's spent. A few times, he has pushed himself so hard that he had to sleep for two or three days in order to be able to move again.
History: Dem was born into a family of trainers. His mother stopped her quest to be a pokemon master after she met his father. The two of them settled down, and his mother became a breeder. Naturally, Demetri helped out with his mother's duties. One of two children, he is the oldest, and thus, the first to set out to find his place in the world. His father died when he was 11, so for a while, he put a hold on his training in order to help his mother and brother get back on their feet. In this time, he learned more about taking care and raising Pokemon than he had ever learned before. This made his younger brother jealous -until he found out that Dem would teach him everything before he left.

When he was 12, Demetri set out again to become a great trainer. What he really wanted was to become a gym leader sooner or later, when he was older and better. He spent a lot of time in Cerulean City, as his preference was water pokemon. And because it took him a while to finally get a badge from the gym. With his Poliwhirl by his side, the boy felt invincible. Which was nice, considering he had a long, hard road ahead of him where challenges would come at him at every turn. There were battles won and battles lost, but Demetri managed to stay even. For a long time, he gained confidence and friends. One, another boy, traveled with him for a while. The two became fast amigos, taking on other trainers in double-battles when they could. Probably because the other boy, Matt, loved ground Pokemon. They made a good team. But one night, when they were camping out, Matthew disappeared. With all of Demetri's money and his bag. Dem, being the trusting person that he was, searched for Matt, and did not even think of the possibility that his friend was the one who took the money. After about a month of searching, he knew that his friend wasn't coming back.

Worn out and all-around exhausted, Demetri laid back and decided to continue his journey. It was just that... He didn't know how.

Strengths: Strangely enough, the ability to stay in cold and hot temperatures without noticing it at all. Taking care of small Pokemon. Kicking things, in place of being able to punch.
Weaknesses: Way too trusting for his own good. Possibly to the point where if a known murderer says he DOESN'T want to stab him, then he will allow him to use an incredibly sharp kitchen knife. Horrible sense of direction, thus, he carries a compass around and about three or four different maps.

Gardevoir is one of the 488 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri. Its main purpose in the games, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both "wild" Pokémon, which are untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and "tamed" Pokémon that are owned by Pokémon trainers.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The name "Gardevoir" is thought to originate from the French terms garde, to care and look over, and voir, to watch. It may also be a portmanteau of the words guard and devoir, which is French for duty or "to have", so it could mean "duty to guard" or "it has to guard". Both refer to the fact that Gardevoir will protect its trainer regardless of risk to its own life and well-being. To pronounce the name Gardevoir, combine the main syllables of "garden" and the last syllable of "reservoir".

Biology:
Gardevoir has an appearance noteworthy both for its elegance and its humanlike femininity, regardless of what gender it actually is. It has a long, skinny body with a pair of thin white legs, both covered by an equally skinny billowing dress. It has a relatively large head with a pale, white face, large red eyes, and a green bouffant-like hairstyle. It has long green featureless arms and two red half-valentine-like outgrowths on its front torso and its back. These add up to a body that is rather frail.

Gardevoir carries a sense of concern for its trainer that is unmatched by any other Pokémon; it is said to do anything to help or aid its trainer, even at the risk of its own life. Its ability to do this is allowed by its perplexingly strong psychic powers. Gardevoir's brain is highly developed and surpasses that of a human, and it apparently allows it to see into the future (compare with Xatu). Using this ability, it can detect when its trainer will be in any possible danger and will then employ its psychokinetic powers at full force. A Gardevoir will risk its life not just for its trainer, but for its offspring as well. It is also one of the few Pokémon to fully understand the human language; whether or not it is capable of speaking it is unknown.

Gardevoir's adeptness at psychic power allows it to achieve other spectacular effects. With psychokinetic manipulation, it can literally distort the dimensions and create, in effect, a small black hole, which it can use as a weapon in battle. Also, it consistently uses small amounts of its reserves to support itself upright (compare with Alakazam) to the effect that it apparently does not feel gravity's pull. This may also be what it's pre-evolved form, Kirlia, does, as it is always on its tip-toes.

[Friends and Neutrals]

Sooner or later I'll fill this out. I should put my family in here as well, just in case someone needs to know their names.

[Enemies]

Who knows whether or not this will stay empty. They'd have to do something pretty bad to get in here.

I'll just tape a couple pictures in here so that if anyone finds this, then they'll know what I look like, and they can return it.
