I've been watching it a little bit. I had a lot of work to do. I'm definatly watching the second session. My friend is coming over to watch too. ^^

Has anybody ever actually been to the conference center to watch? I have. :3

I went down to conference two years ago. It was awesome!

I've been to the center during confrence, but we(my family and I) were 2 people behind and didn't acutally get inside.

I listened to the first session at home with my dad, then had lunch with my ward and watched the second session at the church building. It was awesome.
I always love hearing Elder Uchtdorf speak.
Truth be told this is my first year that I've actually taken serious notes. Years before I would listen, and sometimes pay close attention, but I would rarely take notes. This session I had my notebook on one side and my drawing book on the other and took lots of notes.

One of my favorite quotes was from Robert D. Hales:
"Feast on them (Scriptures) Don't nibble."

And I have a question for every one, I heard several times "To set at liberty those that are bruised." Does any one know what this means? I have a vague Idea, but I want to hear what others have to say about it.

Loved Elder Uchtdorf's talk! I'm looking forward to both sessions tomorrow!

My two cents:
When you've been spiritually bruised you can feel trapped, stuck in some awful dark place emotionally that you just can't summon the energy to move on from. Christ can help free you from that place you have been brought to. Thus he "set at liberty those that are bruised."

So, my alarm didn't go off this morning so I could go to the church and watch it. I ended up waking up at 10:30 AM. Stupid cold. Luckily, my visiting teacher has DVR, and I'm going to hope she'll record it for me. Or will have recorded it...

I *WAS* until my "guardians"
(who are supposed to be looking out for my best interests)
changed it to football.
Granted, I LOVE football . . .
I just want to hear something crazy again
like "makafeke"!
xd

Does anybody else remember the "makafeke" talk from April?
I was getting ready for prom, and out of the blue, I hear that.
The rest of the evening/night, whenever there'd be an awkward silence between me and my date, or whoever, I'd say "makafeke" in a strange voice.
People either laughed, or looked at me like I was crazy, or both!

I went and saw it! my friends two little brothers were with us and spilled cherios all over so we were cleaning them up throught the first talk. (those things get everywhere) the talks had good messages and I enjoyed the majority of them. when Gordon B. Hinkley *sp went up and talked before the benidiction*sp? he said somthing about his 96th birthday and just earlier before the confrence I was reading the Ensign and it said somthing about his 96th birthday. I thought it was kinda fun but yeah. my friend got word on her 4 week old cousin in the hospital who just got her 4th spinal tap today and got really sad and ended up leaving so I went with her so I'm missing/ have missed the 2nd part of the confrence. I heard the talks given on saturday were really good but I never get the chance to go on that day.

Those of you who are missing/have missed the Second sunday session, I would suggest to try and listen to it/read it when you can, I'm listening to it now, and I think it's brother Packer who's talking, and it's awesome.

*hugs* I don't know what's up with my brother, but he's stopped going to church. Thankfully his wife and three children are still going, and they are still strong.

Oh and I don't have BYU tv, I barely have one channel.
But you can listen to it on LDS.org, which I'm doing, as long as you have internet connection and speakers, you should be able to at least listen to it.

Brother Bednar's talking now, I believe, and it reminds me of whats going on in some people's lives that I know.
