AIM -
Jin: Jin had been walking through the savannahs near the prideland in search of an area that was not so inhabited by lions. Watching them keep to their own prides, he figured it might be best to eventually form some sort of group with many of his own kind. It would be difficult to do, considering the servals were limited and not so closely located, but he could take it upon himself to find them. With a faint sigh, the black colored male continued to walk about in determination.
Sabira: With a soft breath the female serval layed her head down on the nice, flat, rock she had found in the middle of the savannah. Her white coat stood out among the swaying yellow tall grasses, yet the female didnt seem to mind. Sabira closed her light colored eyes as she layed still, trying to warm herself in the sun. It seemed the darker animals were always able to heat themselves more quickly than she. With a soft snort and flick of the tail she concentrated on sleep.
Jin: Jin continued on through the savannah, sticking out like a sore thumb. In comparisson to the other golden spotted servals, his black coat set him quite apart. It would be a strange coicidence that Jin would meet another so different like himself. As he walked he finally took notice of a beautiful lake that seemed somewhat hidden by a tall gathering of trees. In his desire to inspect it, he crept closer, being careful of any other animals that may be lurking in the tall grass. What he found, however, came as an utter surprise to him. Roughly a foot before him rested a beautiful white serval female.
Sabira: Sabira's ears slightly perk from where she lay on her side. Her back was to the male at the moment of his approach, yet she remained still, unsure what type of animal had managed to get so near without her knowing sooner. After a short pause to smell the air, a small breeze brought his scent. One of her kind. This was strange. She had not run into one of her own since she was a cub. Now there was one standing behind her. Confirming that he was a small threat the female allowed herself to release the tensed muscles into their relaxed state before she spoke to the male. " There is much space around this lake. Don't let me distract you from anything." Yes, she was slightly arogant of her looks. Though, it was nothing she had a problem with.
Jin: Jin could sense how tense the female had become, but paid it little to any attention. Her scent had filled the air now and he had already become fond of it. To him, it was fairly sweet with a hint of nature. The rock beneath her seemed somewhat like a pedastool (sp?) and in his eyes she was a Goddess. With an instant attraction and interest for this new female, Jin could not help but make his way about the rock to get a better look at the stranger. Once he had made his way around, a smirk spread across his face; she was even more beautiful from the front! Before Jin could speak, the female did so. Lowering his ears, the male took a step back and then glanced back at the lake. "I do believe you're right, miss, but with a face like that, are you not begging everyone to stare at its beauty?" Glancing back to her, he hoped his words had at least caused a smile.
Sabira: Light blue eyes were fixed on the ash darkened male before her. Since birth she had only seen the usual yellow colorations on others, knowing herself as the only outcast in appearance. Now this male had proved her wrong. Catching a glance of him she then rose her head, ears forward as she listened to his words. The female's tail flicked as she thought over what he had said, features serious until she finally nodded in response and smiled. " How many female's have you had drooling over your hide? " Sabira slightly teased. " With your way of speach I can see no reason why you would not have a mate nor a group of your own. " With those words the female stood, stretching in her very feminine cat manner. Jin: Jin offered a gentle chuckle in response to what Sabira had said to him. In truth, Jin was quite the loner of the servals, though he constantly longed for companionship, a pack of his own as well as a mate to call his own. It seemed at every meeting with others of his own kind, however, he managed to find some way to weasle his way out of remaining in their company. It was very possible that a part of Jin wished to remain alone, or maybe something of his unspoken past had something to do with his difficultly to commit to anything. Whatever the case was, Jin was currently hooked on the pale beauty before him and wished to get to know her better, however long the two might know one another. "I wish I could say many, though I am not that lucky. If you would like to be the first.. I would adore to learn your name?" The male's long, dark colored tail swayed behind him as he spoke.
Sabira: "You would like to know my name?" Sabira asked, hoping off her perch on the rock and down near the male. It was now that she hoped to view him more closely, and she was glad she had decided to. He certainly was something to look at. Yet, she wouldn't let him know she thought so. With her comment she brushed slightly against him as she circled the male once, tail flipping under his chin. " And what would you do with the knowledge of my name?" She asked, purring teasingly at the male as she then made her way intot he tall grasses in the direction of the lake nearby. " My name isn't givin' out to simply anyone... " Jin: Jin had taken a few steps back as the female hopped carefully off of her perch. With wide eyes, he continued to watch her in awe, though seemed to back off slightly as she neared. Once her tail had brushed up under his chin, Jin could not help but emit a quiet purr that rumbled deep within his throat. Upon hearing what she had said, Jin thought deeply. What was it he would do with the name of such a beautiful serval? Possibly announce to everyone of her presense? With a quick shake of his head, Jin decided that would be something foolish to do if he ever wished for her company to himself. Smirking again, he quickly trotted up behind her deciding on what to say. "Well.. I would only wish to call such a beauty by her true name.. Stranger is not quite as pretty sounding.." As he spoke, he pulled up beside her to watch her as they both neared the lake.
Sabira: " No." The white serval replied, glancing to the male whom was padding towards the lake alongside her. " Stranger certainly does not fit me well. " With her agreement towards the male she smiled, blue eyes looking his jet black form over. " Sabira. " She answered after a short pause, looking to the lake as she paused at the water's edge. " You may call me Sabira. " Sabira then rose a brow and tilted her head as she sat gracefully on her haunches. " And what may I call you?"

Jin listened carefully to the name the female had given him. It was nice to see that she was already willing to trust him with her name and so he did not hesitate to give her his own, "Jin. Short, simple, but it's what I go by." As the two walked side by side alongside one another, Jin could not help but glance in the beautiful female's direction more than once. A faint smile played on his maw as he watched her. Finally speaking up once again, he added, "Sabira's a beautiful name. Fitting for such a pretty serval as yourself." It seemed this male was constantly eager to compliment the female, though by her reactions, it did not appear as though it bothered her any.
Looking out towards their surroundings, Jin seemed proud. His search during the day had certainly paid off. The terrain was perfect for a group of servals and the tall grass surrounding the area would keep it somewhat hidden from the lions and other creatures nearby. Glancing back towards Sabira, the male boldly spoke out, "..Would you remain in my company if I asked you?" It may have come off strange for such a new companion to ask this of Sabira, but Jin knew that servals were rare among the savannah and he wished to keep those he met close to him, despite his reluctance to become attached.

Sabira simply nodded as his name was revealed. She twisted it in her mind and memorized it quickly. True, it was not a long and difficult name. Yet, Sabira did not have the best of memories. Glancing back to the dark male as he once again complimented her. It was flattering, and definately something she could never get tired of hearing. A brief silence fell between them as she then smiled and looked towards the lake that they were sitting beside.
The savahnna sun was lowering and casting beautiful yellow and golden beams onto the water's surface. It was then that Jin spoke and caught the female off gaurd. Of course she didn't show her surprise. She merely turned her head towards the male, light eyes narrowing as if trying to read him. Sabira did not reply at first as she thought upon his request.
" It IS rare to stumble upon that of our kind out here..." She thought aloud now, somewhat directing it towards Jin. She was iffy about the situation, used to living on her own.

Jin was somewhat expecting the quiet reaction of Sabira. He understood that there was no reason why this new female would wish to remain in Jin's company, but the male remained silent, awaiting her answer anyhow. With a faint smile, he continued to look her over and then changed his gaze towards the direction of the lake. Even if he was never able to create a clan of servals in this land, it was still a beautiful site.
When Sabira spoke, the dark-colored male only turned his head to listen. His faint smile did not fade, though he already felt as though his question had been answered. Having made the atmosphere awkward between the two, Jin stepped out and away from the femme. He brought himself to the top of a large rock and looked out, as though trying to busy his attention with something other than slight sadness.
"Our kind are indeed rare, but I completely understand if you refuse, Sabira.." He kept his gaze out towards the distance, but continued to speak. It was unclear whether the male spoke to himself, or the femme now. "I do not often act so boldly in the company of a stranger and although I ask for company, I find it difficult to remain in anothers company for very long of a time.." He released a short sigh and looked to her, "..I only worry if I don't take my chance now.. I may never find the company of another."

"Well," The snowy colored female replied then, a smug expression on her face. " it seems we have the same problem. " She concluded, speaking about their troubles with remaining in the company of others. She too found it difficult to travel with others about her. She normally preferred to gaze upon life on her own. Yet, it seemed idiodic to pass up a chance to spend time with another serval.
After a short debate inwardly she shrugged her shoulders and hopped gracefully upon the rock, laying down on the heated object. " I suppose I could give it a try then. I don't see the harm in it. " Sabira answered, looking away from the male as well, keeping her gaze on the lake they had been near. Flipping her tail she then turned her head to veiw the male, curious as to what his reaction would be.

As the man had become in a much more sullen mood as he spoke, he allowed his saddened expression turn into a faint smile as Sabira spoke once again. She did not seem thrilled about the idea, but it was a strange way in which to speak to a complete stranger. Jin was pleased enough with the fact that she was not completely put off and left already.
Sitting more upright and smiling warmly now, the male began to speak. "Then," with a bold voice, Jin pronounced this,"You are the queen of this land and shall help me find others. I fear this winter may have eaten a great amount of our foods..If we find anything during our travels, we might as well use both our abilities and try and satisfy our hungers on the way."
Looking about, the dark male continued to scan the area. It appeared as though there were no others around the territory. In fact, the territory seemed fairly deserted. This was strange considering the land had a great body of water and plants flourishing around it. "This will do though.."

"Queen?" Sabira inquired as she sat up on the rock she had been laying on. A sly smile formed on her snowy maw as she heard the word. " And what would that make you then, Jin? " There was a teasing hint in her soft voice as she then averted her gaze from the male and looked out onto 'her lands'. He spoke true, though. Stating that their foods had been scared away to other grounds or killed by the winter's cold. It was most likely the best decision she could make to stay with the male. Hunting together may serve better when it came to catching larger game. Yet, it did also mean she would be required to share.
Sabira then hopped from the rock she had been sun bathing on and began to make her way from the lakeside. "Well, if we are looking for others, then we wont be doing any good sitting around here. " She spoke as she passed the male and continued on, without turning back to make sure he was following.

Jin only laughed nervously at what Sabira had said. The male would be eager to take the position beside the female as King, but understood that a relationship was not formed merely based on rank. Laughing lightly and continueing to look around, the male tried to continue conversation. Beneath his dark fur, his cheeks were pale pink. "Your rock would be your thrown and soon we will find other servals to serve beneath you! They will carry you mice seasoned with herbs!" He laughed again.
Though slightly nervous about the constant company and inability to escape, the male was thrilled about this new bond. Smiling broadly, he watched as the light colored female padded off and began their search. "You are very correct, m'lady!"

It may have perhaps been different if Jin actually knew Sabira better. Brought up in a small pride of servals the female had witnessed the very ways of courtship and the males that came and went, while her mother remained what would have been the alpha female. Relationships had never been one her mother was good with, even with her own daughter. It was only natural Sabira took on this quality, for it was what she was taught. What she picked up. The only thing she could do to see that her mother was proud of her.
That didnt matter now. Bright eyes looked to Jin and Sabira gave a nod. "Sounds like a life I would be very capable of accepting. " It was smal, yet a hint of a smile could be seen as she turned away once more. This serval was not one to become close to others, much like Jin. It was just much easier to accept rejection in that way.

So, having both decided to search the area for the perfect place to call a home, the two servals continued in conversation. Jin was pleased to have company and even more thrilled at the prospect of leading a group of servals and finally having something to call his own. Though skeptical about this closeness he might develop with others, he knew he was doing better and would slowly open up. Sabira and inspired something within him and he would be saddened to see her leave.
Making his way beside the pale colored female, Jin proceeded to follow her wherever she wished to go. There were so many places to choose from, but so few servals in the surrounding area in which they could gather to join their group.
