GAIA has changed a lot from when it opened in 03. What do you think of the changes? The layouts, profiles and other features were edited, removed or updated/added.

I think it has changed to much. It would be awesome for a noobie. Look at all the free stuff you get now when you sign up. The daily chance is wicked and I think that should help some inflation and lower the prices. Talk about inflation though, those horns are 1/2 a million!!!

Gaia hasn't changed one bit for me....okay so maybe a little, but those changes were necessary.
Back when I joined I didn't give a crap about items, my avatar, or the gold. I loved the forums. Watching the n00bs beg and whine, watching the pervs voer in GD, and of course just laughing at some of the C&T posts. None fo that has really changed for me.

I think that Gaia has changed, but then again, so have I, and I don't really get on here that much anymore. It's really necessary for them to try and stay on top of things since most of the features of just the forum can be easily setup with a stock phpBB forum. O.o And a lot of the ones they've implemented will be included in the "Olympus" release.

This is my old account, Rydian, that my little brother got banned...I've been on gaia for a while, had collected some really nice items and stuff, my old account was rich. For the first half of my stay on gaia I didn't care about items too much, infact I gave most of my stuff away, until I got my chain wallet for like 10K. XD I still talk to some people I've known forever, though when I got banned a lot of people stopped talking to me. Shows who your friends are. The new layout I've grown used to, I've been through a few of gaia's layout changes. I still remember when gaia's forum list was like... an actual list. And you could view forums by category. Infact I think you still have that option, but it doesn't function correctly, just shows you the full forum list. Hell, I still use www.gaiaonline.com/forum/memberlist.php to look up members. I remember having to switch servers before they got the load balencer working right. Thank god for that. And thank god they got error catching workig right, now more database errors everytime to go to a new page. I don't like how stupid the artists have gotten, though. I see artists charging an item worth 100K for a SKETCH OF A HEADSHOT, then then COMPLAINING when nobody buys. I used to be able to egt some furry art for like 5K each, now I'ce gotta' go for weeks without art because nobody draws anthro for a reasonable price. Gaia's gotten better, but there's more stupid people.

the new Gaians are getting it easy. >.< Unlike the ones before it completely changed. We had to work for our items/Gold.
The layout, is ok. But I really don't care about the layout. Unless its too bright.

I don't know why everybody's complaining the newer users have it easier. I mean. 400 gold is still 400 gold. And you still get some clothes that are instantly recognizable as poor attire, and are worth less than a pile of s**t.
It's not like everybody's given fairy wings when they join, geeze.
I like how they changed the image for halloween in the layout, makes me think they'll do it often for whatever's going on, and that'll be a treat.
z!p: If you could see the contents of that inventory. D: I was saving up for a christmas giveaway, but then got banned in early december. I had a ton of nice crap I was gonna' give away. And the sash was just borrowed. Don't ask how I'll pay it back. XD

XD Yeah but they got a complete set while we got peasant stuff. Yeah. Inflation totally killed Gaia. It used to be that a sealed was 2k and people would complain about it. Now it's 8-10k. Fircken mad.

If everybody stopped buying letters for 8K then people would have to sell them for less. By buying at the price, you're encouraging it. Don't like it? Then don't buy, if nobody buys at that price they lower the prices to get it sold, it's simple.
You got a complete set of clothes, too. A peasant set. With s**t-stains on the back for the males, too. Really, go look.
And inflation is a part of economy. Gaia's a good example of a closed economy. If you start buying for higher prices, people realize they can sell for those prices, then you keep buying higher and higher... if 8K was that bad, then nobody would buy it and people would be forced to sell their letters for lower in order to make any gold.
... I've had to give these sorts of speeches to tons of uppity 03ers that don't seem to remember getting a sushi error every 2 ******** seconds...
