Sh'Kaar
The village of Sh'Kaar (Sha-car) is the main community for those that want to believe in the myths. Usually human, but not all, they are the ones that tend to show either fear or reverence for these being of myth. Often, then tend to try to proselytize skeptics into believing, some even offering proof. Sometimes this proof can be a downfall.

Those who don't believe in myths and step into this village, of then those from the village of Ko'Naar, try to use this to their advantage. Try to take what those who believe is real and expose it for the fake, or so called fake that it really is. Those caught trying to do this...rarely return home.

A look back at Ko'Naar and she also let out a sigh. "I'm never ready, you know that." Or rather he wouldn't, he wasn't the subject of obsession around here. So glad she had him. Her best friend, always there. She knew she could count on him. But then another sigh. "I hate that plan too." Under the cloak, her ears took on a more aggressive position.

Without peering eyes of the village, Tyler allowed himself a look back at her, as he was leadin at least two steps in front of her. "I know and I'm sorry Cara, but it's the only way to not draw attention to ourselves. We'll be in Fe'Laar soon enough."

"Not soon enough for my tastes." An inherited snort through her nose as well as a show of inherited stubborness.

A sigh again and he rolled his eyes. He knew it made her feel better to protest and he simply took it in stride. He was more relaxed now that they were almost in Sh'Kaar. At least they were out of Ko'Naar. Every time they had to go through there like this, his heart beat faster and his blood ran cold. He was so afraid taht one of these days he wasn't going to be able to keep them from getting caught. The very thought of it sent shivers down his spine. They entered Sh'Kaar a few moments later and he breathed a bit easier. There were more people out and about here and he quickly decided to remain on the right side of the street. There was a group of guys on the other side hanging out in front of the tavern that looked like they might be looking for some trouble. The atmosphere was not quite as charged and more relaxed here. At first glance it simply was a normal thriving village. But he knew they had to take caution here as well, though not near as much as in Ko'Naar.

Sh'Kaar...better than the other, but still not comfortable, even with Tyler around. Her eyes looked around as his did, noting the changes in his steps and their direction. Faintly, her keen hearing could pick of whispers of several people. They were talking about several myths currently circulating...her's was mentioned among the murmers. She had to cringe a little, hre hand tighening on Tyler's. "Walk faster..."

He didn't look back at her, gritting his teeth to keep the movement of his lips from talking less obvious. "I can't, it'll draw attention." He knew why she wanted to go faster, whispers were common here, and night was falling. Cara was under the "night stories". "Just ignore them Cara..."

"Easy for you to say." Then she bit her lip. "I"m sorry...I didn't mean it..." Also inherited tend to be irrational temper. She hated it when seh snapped at him. He was only trying to help after all.

Another set of eyes watched thier passing, looking mostly at the womanly figure underneath that cloak. The male with her didn't look like much. but they were taking pains to hide somethign about the girl. chains clinked as they shifted, bringing up a hand to run through his hair..by the way they moved, they weren't staying here. He moved back inside the 'temple' dedicated to him, thier 'god fo war' and took some of the offerings there. mostly coin, and a few offerings of jewelry he left, though he also took the wine and some of the cakes. he'd have to remember to 'appear' to thier next congregation to thank them..before slipping out and trailing behind the two, not enough to be noticed, but enough to keep an eye on them.

Tyler knew why she was irritated and he really couldn't blame her. He saw movement out of the corner of his eye and cursed. "Dammit." Drawing her up against his side he said, "I'm sorry Cara. It looks like you're going to have to play it off."

"Not yet I don't. Maybe they won't come over here."

"Wishful thinking. Here they come." He tightened his arm around her and watched as a few of the guys drained their drinks and started across the street. He looked around quickly and finally said, "Forget this. I'm not waiting till we find a bed. Come on honey. I paid for you so I get to enjoy you."

She cringed inside the cloak and waited for the ineveitable. Gently but with a great show of force she was shoved against the wall of an alley. Her cheeks burning she waited until Tyler lowered his head and then her ears flattened. "Dont' take too long...."

He hated doing this but he had to make a show out of it. So he moved his hands against her, pushing her further into the wall and leaned his weight on her, effectively looking like she could not move. "Alright honey, show me what I'm paying for." Inside every lesson his mother had pounded into his head about how to treat women came back to him and he cringed at the way he was forced to treat her. Under the pretense of sucking on her neck, he looked through a small hole and cursed savagely. "Stupid drunks. Cara we're going to have to be a bit more convincing than this..."

She sighed. She had been hoping this was not going to happen. "Alright. I'll do my best."

Tyler lowered his head and kissed her savagely, trying to make it seem like he was taking from an experienced whore. He prayed he was gentle enough and she wouldn't cry. Her tears tore him up inside. He lifted his head and glared when a tap came on his shoulder. "Can't you see I'm busy here? What the hell do you want?" His voice came out breathless and in a slight growl, very nicely imitating a man who had been disturbed in the middle of something he was enjoying very much.

A toothy grin and unfocused eyes and he said, "Thought you might want to share the pretty lady."

Ecara cringed. This was so degrading. She took a deep breath and gave her best glare at the drunk. Using the seductive voice she saved specifically for this purpose she said, "Come on. The activites we are about to indulge in are better done in private."

Tyler raised an eyebrow at the drunk and then for the hell of it punched him in his grinning mouth. The drunk crumpled and Tyler glared at him, "I don't share." He grabbed Cara by the arm and said, "Whatever you say honey." Then he dragged her along and quickly made their way towards the exit of the village. They were almost home.

This was rich. he'd laugh if it had been someone he wasn't interested in meeting. the toothy drunk..well..he found himself on the reciving end of a chain wrapped fist.

"Mind your manners next time. besides. you don't ask to share..you take your share."

He knew where they were going though. they obviously weren't what they appeared..as they passed a building that woudl have easily served that purpose..so he moved through the alleys that he knew, and woudl be waiting at the exit for them.

"I do hope they put on a better show for me than they did for them."

and he waited, idly cleaning his fingernails, keeping one of his black eyes on the road.

Momentarily, Ecara had to look back as sensative ears picked up the sound of chains and anothe rthud to dirt. But her eyes betrayed her ears, showing her nothing it seemed. Then...there was another standing near Sh'Kaar's south exit gates. And she had to play her par teven more, practically throwing herself over tyler, hands pulled to places she'd rather not be touched at. So hated this.

For a second, Tyler tensed then played his role as well with easy grace. "Yeah yeah, we're getting there honey." His hands moved and pulled her closer then slipped down. He couldn't believe he was doing this. His mother would abosolutely kill him...her mother would kill him. And he tightened his grip on her, out of wanting to keep her closer more than for the show as they passed by the one standing near the exit. A curt nod and he walked on by, letting out a sigh of relief when the stranger let him pass.

He loved it. what good performances..and he let them pass by, and after awhile, followed. looks like they were heading back to the place that was the real home for most of thier ilk..which further intrigued him. the boy was nothing special. that means the girl was the one. which also explained hiding her under that cloak. he whistled to tune 'time is on my side' as he walked, trailing the other two. he'd catch them both at home sweet home.

Richard walked through the temple, dedicated to his lord, his god. He proudly wore the robes of the priest, his flock and congregation would be gathering soon. the words of devil worshipper fell on deaf ears, and he looked over teh offerings they had left, and smiled.

He was older, his hair starting to turn grey, but his brown eyes were still powerful, charismatic. the wine was gone, half the food..and a fair portion of the money. Obviously not the work of a thief, as they woudl not have left any coin, so it must be that his lord had taken some, but in his greatness left behind much for his faithful.

He lit the incense burners, and the torches. his god was akin to fire, a giver and taker of life. It was through his protection they thrived, but should he turn his back to them nothing coudl stand to the Lord of Battle. he coudl crush them underfoot with little effort.

"Lord of Battle, Master of Arms...Protector of the Strong, Defender to the weak..Bringer of Wrath to the deserving..hear the prayers of your servant. come to us, and show your faithful that you still watch us, that you still hold the darkness of the world at bay, amen."

And he began to clean of the statues, the images of Janus in various armors and weapons. they still had not found the most sacred of weapons, the blades of choas thier god had lost and wanted recovered. it was akin to thier holy grail, the belief that once found, they woudl be raised to greatness. the blasphemous horde woudl learn the price of scoffing at thier lord, when he came upon them with vengance.

People traveling that path stopped in their tracks stone still as she crossed paths with them. If they were holding something, they dropped it nine out of ten times, if they were in her path, they were quick to move. And at the Sh'Kaar outskirts she met even more stares. Aiden either didn't notice or seemed not to care, her gaze straight forward as she stepped through he Sh'Kaar gates with no resistance. Already whispers were spreading rapidly in the streets. Though she still seemed not to notice as she opted for the main street as he means of travel. Idly her eyes started to scan her surroundings.

Richard opened the doors to his temple, and many came in, others watching a girl walk into town. he looked at her as well, for a moment, before shaking his head lightly, and moving to get those that were staring into the temple for prayer and offerings. then another thought. if these stared so much at her..getting her to come to teh temple might increase his following. so he moved toward her, casually, in a bit reserved but friendly manner.

"Hello, young woman..you are new here, and I feel I should introduce myself. I am Richard, Priest to the God of War. Perhaps you'd like to parch your throat, or take a load off your weary feet inside our temple for a few moments?"

Aiden had stopped when she had been directly approached. At first Amber eyes blinked at him almost as if in disbelief that he had the insolence to appraoch her in such a manner. God of War? She'd heard that before but her memory seemed to not allow her to know as of where she got it. A look was given to those all around her, almost cold expression never changing. Richard was granted a nod an a turn of her direction for the temple. "Aiden." A woman of few words indeed as she merely made her way into the temple to learn of Sh'Kaar.
