((Trying to figure out who has the mike . . . ))
Broken steps up somewhat bashfully to the mike, taking over for Profet and making the first match announcement.
Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for braving the trip out here to the Shadowdome. The first match of the tournament is between the master of water, Elata, and the shimmering Kaiden. The best of luck to both contestants, and may the match begin!

((*Isn't quite sure how to battle just yet* gonk ))
Elata steps into the arena, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves. His eyes scanned the audiance to see if he could spot his mate and children. Boy was he nervous. He wore simple clothing, stuff he wouldn't mind getting ruined. So he settled with a loose tank top and comfortable jeans. He flexes his hands and waits for his opponent to show up, tail looking about lazily.
EDIT: ((*Just realized* There aren't any Water attacks in the Attack List! *dies*))

Dassan appeared in a shimmer of Shadow at the platform on the far side of the arena and sat on the throne that was there. "As Broken has neglected to mention, The loser of this match will accompany me to my quarters and await thier fate." He sneered. He leered at broken and nodded for her to go away as the match begun.
"Alright! as soon as both half-breeds are in the ring the slaughter will begin! Ha!" He sneered and crossed his arms while stairing down at the arena floor.

((^^; I was a bit busy...I apologize profusely!))
Kaiden moved into the arena, lifting his hand to nudge his glasses a bit farther up his nose. When he saw Elata, he gave him a friendly nod, though his face was set seriously. This wasn't just an ordinary tournament, and he was perfectly aware of it. No, this tournament could forecast the future of the drake-child race. He stood across from the Water drake and offered him his hand. "Fight well. Don't hold back." he said softly before his eyes flickered up towards Dassan. His eyes turned cold. "...Good luck." he said quietly to Elata before he looked back at him.

Elata nods and shakes the others hand, returning his hand to his side. "Same goes for you." His own face had gone nuetral, hiding his true emotions as he went into a sort of meditative state.

Kaiden nodded to Elata before releasing his hand and moving a bit away from the Water drake. He stood and readied himself as well, skin shimmering brightly in the faint light provided.

Elata closes his eyes, concentrating his power into his palms.
"Hydrolic Cannon!"
The shout echoes slightly as his eyes snap open as the words leave his mouth, flinging a solid ball of water at the other.

As if mirroring him, Kaiden stumbled back a bit as well. He looked up at Elata and nudged the glasses up a little higher onto the bridge of his nose before shooting another bright, multi-colored, shimmering flash at the Water drake. "Acros flash!"

Elata dances to the side, his shirt getting ripped slightly by the flash. He flings another attack at the other, the solid water orb zipping towards Kaiden.

Kaiden winced at the blast, stumbling a little. He had to take a risk if he was going to go on in the tournament, and he knew it. Casting a glance up at Elata, he fired a different attack at him. "Blitzer strobe!"
