Serene Dreams
Even the contented can dream. I have been supremely blessed with the pets I have acquired. Unlike many, I am satisfied with simply enjoying those I have.
However, I don't feel that this constrains me to no longer imagine new characters and new possibilities. So let me share my dreams with you, one at a time. Let me introduce to my latest dream....The Soquili Warrior

Introduction
Meet Kurak, the warrior horse. He has lived a long time and is now just past his prime. He is a tired and weary stallion, seeking rest from his battles. He once was a bright-eyed youth whose ideals soared among the eagles. His large size and great strength gave him his name, a play upon a word that means "bear" in the tongue of the Pawnee, among whom he was born.
When the village where his human friend lived was burned to the ground by a rival tribe, those that were not burned were put to the knife. Desperately the young stallion had tried to save his boy from their enemies, but only earned himself a slash across one nostril that bled profusely... and in that moment of pain, he had lost his boy. Ashamed, terrified, and heart-sick, Kurak had fled.
It has been many years since that time. He once had a herd of mares thta had depended on him for their protection, but not long ago he fought a younger, stronger stallion for the right... and had lost. Driven from the ladies, he has been wandering ever since. Will he find a home in the Soquili valley, near the Kawani tribe?

Pictures
A picture of Kurak as a foal.
Kurak before his mane was cut short. (His mane has more green than this picture shows.)
Here is Kurak as he fled the burning village. Soot stained his mane and tail dark.
With mane and tail still dark with soot, he sought a new home.

::hugs:: Thank you hon. I really don't pay enough attention to my little quest here. Perhaps I should move it to the open forums. Do you think?
