(( What with Ani knowing Spiro, and him mentioning Avery... I thought it would be good for her to meet Avery, one of the "Good angels". Sybil will come along, too, as another half-breed. ))
Avery shuffled along the street, sighing and wishing the sun was out, instead of the gray clouds. Sybil was nearby, "balancing" on the slightly raised edge of the sidewalk. He wouldn't let her balance on the curb; he might do it himself, but he knew it was dangerous.
They were going to the park, but Avery was beginning to think maybe it hadn't been a good idea. The sky was dark, and getting darker, and they hadn't even brought along an umbrella.
He stopped and said, in a rare moment of forethought, "Hey, Syb. Maybe we should turn around. It's gonna rain." He pointed up at the sky.
"Aww... I wanna go on the swings!" Sybil wheedled, fixing her best puppy dog stare on Avery, who rolled his eyes.
"Okay, okay, fine. Onwards to the park!" he said dramatically, and pointed to their destination which was across the street. The rain would come, and Rime would scold, but who cared when they were going to have fun now?

Ani sat, hidden away safe and sound under the slide... hugging her knees to her chest. She'd had to leave the safety of Spiro's side for the time being... they were still looking for her afterall, so it was all across barton that she would travel-- here and there... She'd tucked herself under here when an angel had come by... Not one of the fallen, either-- you could always tell by the way they walked.
It was a voice that drew her to peek out from under the slide... watching a pair run over to the swings. An angel... it nearly had her ducking back under her "safe zone"... but that-- ah... Another? Like her? She popped out in a flash, busting it over to the two's sides.
