Once upon a time in his own little world, there lived a Fa'e. His name was Arkanti and he believed that his world was the best world ever. Beer was the sea and sex was the land. Sometimes the air was that neat smell the dishwasher made when it was going through its dry cycle.

For a long time, Arkie enjoyed being the king of this land of decadance and zero responsibilities, and wiled away his hours eating, playing, and his biggest worry was who he'd take to bed that night.

He was happy in his little psuedo reality and life was perfect.

Which is certainly why it couldn't last.

After a series of bad decisions one evening, Arkie found himself at the police station on a $300 bail for public intoxication and defacing an officer's vehicle (when you've had enough to drink and really need to pee, its amazing how much a squadcar resembles a toilet). His guardian was less than impressed and informed Arkanti that his days of living in the wondrous world of his own were over.

Taking refuge with his friend Nyoka, Arkie was more-or-less homeless. Still, it wasn't hard to pick up the pieces and roll with things, as was his custom.

And then one day Nyoka's friend Aylana turned up with a wiggling little blue balogna loaf named Wesker and never again would things be the same in the illustrious kingdom of Arkie (TM)...

• Background (so far...): As most Pae'il children tend to do, Wesker turned up guardianless on Krista's porch one evening. In a show of good will, or maybe of her sense of humor, Krista passed the child on to her fa'e daughter Aylana and charged her with delivering him to his new guardian.
