Davey walked through the ocean's waves deep enough that the tenticles on his face dragged arcoss the water lightly as they wiggled. Looking down he checked to make sure his key still hung from his neck sighing abit it was there like it always was. The odd soquilli seemed rather bored by the seen around him no one to talk to save the fish in the sea and they arent really the best small chat makers.

The beach was quite the different little change of scenery - an instant difference to the lands of the inner plains. Where the leaves of trees were falling, their life failing them as the hands of winter kissed them with oranges and reds, the beach seemed forever unchanged - unyielding with its powerful waves and biting winds.
The salt of the ocean lingered strong in the air, biting at the tongue of the mare as she found her way slowly, ever so slowly, down the dunes. Her hoofprints lingered in the sands, mingling with the markings of others - of the wild, untamed creatures of this land.
For what reason she had come out here was unknown to her, but perhaps it was just the ache for a change. What life could exist on this edge of the world? Other than the small ferna of the sea's life, of course.
It was then that she saw that stallion - a creature quite unlike any other she had seen before, but a creature she could readily name as Soquili none-the-less. Her feet brought her slowly to the lapping waves, their ferocity no match for her rigid posture, no match for the pride that coursed through her veins. Her head remained raised, and those kind, yet weary, eyes slightly narrowed upon the other she did not know.
This was turning out to be an interesting day, even if it had only just begun.

Davey stopped as he sited a mare staring at him from the edge of the waves. He turned his head towards her to return the stare just then a wave crashed agaisnt his face hard and fast but when it calmed. It revealed that he had not fliched nor as his stare faded. He wondered what her intrest in him was normaly mares or stallions for that matter would spend all lengths of time trying to avoid him. Finally quirking his brow Davey made his way through the wave towards her. Davey stayed in the water enough that his claw and peg leg were still hidden his tenticle face and tail he thought enough of a site in itself. "Can I help you?" Davey said with a pop of his wet lips.

It's a good thing for Davey that Shaitani was much more interested in investigating things under odd circumstances than fleeing from them, unless, of course, he was quite happy with the way Soquili fleed - after all, there were many a Soquili like that. Either way, it was with a hungry interest that Shaitani kept her ground, the waves curling and unfuirling around her blue hooves.
"I suppose that is a fair question," she said quietly, her head tilting as she took in his half out of the water stance, wondering what else could be so unusual as to hide - after all, the tentacles really seemed to take the cake there. "I was only trying to figure out exactly what sort of Soquili you were," she said, her voice strong and bold, her eyes showing nothing similar to fear in any sense, "you seem rather like a horror story many mothers tell their foals. I can only think that would make for a very lonely sort of life."
She quirked a brow at him, honestly expecting him to carry on with the conversation. After all, it wasn't very often that you met such a unique Soquili - and he surely enough had her interest, if nothing else.

Davey gave a wet sounding deep laughat what she had said and he was quite amused that she had not fleed from him. "Ah yes a lonly life I lead indeed and yet it bothers me not for I have yet to meet a soquilli whom's company I can stand for longer then a few moments. There was a lass named Zira, mean as sea salt stinging your eyes but alas she has fallen prey to the weakness of the heart so I can no longer stand to be around her. And yet I do wish to have conversation for the moment for the fishs dont hold my intrest with their prattle today. A horror you say? Most likly that to keep foals from running to deep into me locker. Davey Jones be my name and for once I do not terribly mind that you didnt run from the sight of me." Davey popped his lips once more before giving a laugh.

She snorted as she watched him, her carefully braided tail swishing behind her, a colorful wave of blue - not quite a match for the waves that lapped at her feet, but an interesting comparison none-the-less. "I find that most Soquili succumb to weakness of the heart, at one point in their lives or another, no matter how cruel or unkind they might think they are." SHe shrugged, sapphire gems of eyes narrowing on the horizon in the midst of her thinking, "I don't doubt that one day I'll find myself victim to that love-sickness. But that day is not yet, and I am in no danger of losing myself to any male any day soon."
She smirked, glancing back to him, "I wouldn't think that fish would hold very interesting conversations? Full of gibber-gabber, I would think, but then, I've never talked to them before - so I can only assume."
She nodded, giving him a gentle bow, "well, Davey Jones of the deep sea locker, my name is Shaitani - simple land Soquili."

"Hardly simple at all you atleast admit that you will fall victim to the weakness of the heart and not many can do that. Quite, and fish are very forgetful and tend to have the same conversation twice. Sometimes mostly concerning whom they should spawn with." Davey shuddered abit from the thought. Davey looked the mare over again she was very intresting looking to Davey. Of course the mare was beautiful, but Davey's mind said interesting he wouldnt admit to anything more. "Shaitani...sounds like a strong name does it mean anything?"
