"Oh my god! Where is it!" Shouko panicked, running about her quarters looking desperatley for her notebook. She was appointed to take two of the six new applicants on a tour through the facility while her co-workers handled the rest. There was one major problem though....She couldn't find her notebook. The notebook which held all the information about her specimen and about what she was supposed to speak about on the tour.
Her charges were waiting outside in the Researcher's den waiting for her....And could hear her every curse and worry.
(( Hint: Alittle help goes along way. ))

((In case I forgot to note this earlier, Aiodhan, one of my OCs, is the character I'll be using. He's IC-Amyla's... boyfriend. Mate. Soulmate. Partner. Wishing fiance?))
Pacing idly back and forth outside of the researcher's den, Aiodhan was in no real hurry to get started on this tour. Yes, of course, he was eager to see the facility, hear the information, and cast an eye about for a potentially dangerous predator (he liked dangerous things, being dangerous himself), but he was rather enjoying the few moments of peace. Outside of his hectic household and job, he got very little in the way of a few moments of quiet.
Not that it was really quiet. The poor woman inside the den was obviously missing something. His sharp hearing could detect her curses and frets even from out here. Curiosity finally overcame him, and he nudged at the door with a shoulder, trying to stick his head inside to spy the problem. "Do you need some assistance?"

Shouko was plopped on the floor sitting on her knees looking hopeless. "Yes please!" She cried, a mess of ivory hair whipping back and forth with her head and she nodded frantically.
She shakily got up, tripping over several things in her room as she did so. "I can't find y log book! It has all my notes in it about Fuyumi and her growth and her prgress and -oh god the Dr.'s gonna beat me with her clipboard!"
Ok. So the beating with the clipboard was excessive, but you could get the point. She'd be in deep doo-doo if she didn't find that book, and with the extent of which she tore apart her own room, finding it seemed nearly impossible.

Aiodhan blinked and paused for a moment, momentarily taken aback by the state of the room and the woman's total distress. Oi. Even Amyla didn't get this worked up about things. Well, there was that one time when-... no. Not going there.
Composure regained, he padded into the room, tucking his wings close into his back. "Log book? What does it look like? And where did you last leave it?" he asked, investigating near what he thought was a chair.

"Uhmm....It's a black leather bound book with a little symbol that almost looks like the Gaia Fish on it, but not quite." She explained, looking around for it frantically. "I have no idea where it could be! I don't quite remember where I put it..."

"Black leatherbound book... okay," Aiodhan repeated rather dumbly before commencing his search around the chair. When he lost things, he normally found them in odd places. Thus, in odd places he would look. "You are a researcher?" he asked curiously as he slid his hands around the seat cushion of the chair. Books always got lodged around the cushion of his armchair at home.

Cyrus walked towards at the researchers den door. She stopped, staring at the entry was, nervousness was working its way into her emotions. She had been excited last night, but now. . . After a moment coping with her emotions Cyrus walked through the doorway "Excuse me?" She asked. She stopped, there was a conversation going on inside.
" It's a black leather book. . . gaia fish. . . " Were the snippets of the conversation Cyrus heard, she wondered if this was where she was supposed to go "Um, Do you need some help?" Wondered Cyrus aloud, gazing at the two occupents of the room.

Giving up searching around the chair, Aiodhan moved on to root around a table, trying to find the now-infamous black leatherbound book. He looked up as he heard someone else enter the room. "She lost her log book," he said by way of explanation before continuing on his search. "And she really needs to find it."
'Really needs to find it' was perhaps a mild understatement on his part. The gal had looked absolutely frantic. This 'log book' was obviously something vital. Maybe she should put a GPS locator in it for next time. It would help a great deal. "Maybe you left it somewhere else in the facility?" he suggested.

"Ya know....That might be it!" Shouko exclaimed, picking her head up and smacking it into her desk, as she was looking underneith it. "Owww....." She murmured, carefully pulling her head out from underneith.
"Hello!" She smiled, waving to Cyrus with a grin that screamed glee. "I forgot to introduce myself, didn't I? Name's Hiirigizawa Shouko. You may call me Shouko or any other form of." She smiled, pulling ivory hair away from amber colored eyes. "I'm guessing you're who I'm taking on the tour, huh?" She chuckled nervously, scratching the back of her head.

"Yeah, be careful. That hurts," Aiodhan said dryly, watching Shouko smack her head on the desk. He did have the good grace to cringe. Yow. "Maybe you left it in another office or something."
He curled his tail around his waist and gave up searching for the moment, folding his wings up against his back a little tighter. "Yes, I'm going on the tour. I guess... she is too," he added, eyeing the other woman. He felt slightly outnumbered, though not outsmarted. No, no... he was never outsmarted by anyone. "I'm Aiodhan. Nice to meet you, Shouko."

"I'm Cyrus" Stated Cyrus nervously "Hello, Shouko, Aiodhan." Cyrus thought about his name for a moment "I like your name Aiodhan, it sounds exotic" Cyrus smiled. Then she remembered why she was there "I'm here for the tour. . ." Cyrus said, her voice small "So, you're leading us, Shouko? That's nice. . ."

" Well....I will be leading you on the tour...Once I find my log book!" She chirpped, getting up and brushing her labcoat off before meandering towards the door. She stopped dead in her tracks lifting her arms up, bent at the elbow and index fingers held high. "I think....I remember where I last saw it..." She murmured. "To the Community Pool! Follow me please!" She exclaimed, a mass of ivory hair whipping out behind her as she scuttled into the direction of the community pool.

Exotic? No one had ever called his name that before. "My parents said it sounded strong, dashing, and royal," Aiodhan said with a slight eye roll. He had little faith in his parents' mental capacities. Idiots. "But it is nice to meet you, Cyrus." Yes, it was. She seemed sensible, if a bit too quiet. Living with Amyla had made him like extroverted people.
What was this? An epiphany? She knew where the log book may be?! The dragon-man dutifully followed behind their tour guide as she scurried off. The community pool sounded interesting. It probably didn't have any predators in it, but it wouldn't hurt to look anyway.

Shouko slowed down considerably once they hit the community pool region. The floors beneath them were concrete, but with shoes, or even bare feet, running wasn't the smartest of ideas. Simple tripping could cause major owwies and this wasn't something that was good around a community pool that may have potential predators...
Stopping for a moment she looked back to Cyrus and Aiodhan. "Careful while you're in here, it gets wetter close to the pool." she smiled. "Oh! By the way, this is the community pool. This is where most of the researchers do their work, unless their specimen happens to be excessively large or dangerous..."

Aiodhan nodded distractedly at what Shouko said, his eyes focused on the pool. So, this was where studying and research was done. It looked like.... a pool. "What sort of specimens do you study here?" he asked curiously, wondering which predators would be too large or dangerous to fit in said pool. Sharks, perhaps? Whales?
