I just cant stand it anymore something is not right for me i mean Science is pretty much standing up and saying Evolution and things like dinosaurs and when we existed and things like that are making me lose faith because science i am really feeling that its right and i dramactically losing faith because if we evovlved then how could God exist i mean why would he present himself to animals... if animals existed pretty much and the earth is older than what the bible says... Genesis says its created in 7 days and im starting to not believe. Hoever last time i was meditating i managed to find that someone was talking to me from the afterlife.... i dont know what to believe anymore... help. Death is a very scary situation and i couldnt imagine yet i believe that we could just go to our grave and then its over. i mean whats the use of living if you cant remeber anything after death and there possibly could be no spirit.... Even though my prayers work sometimes i feel horrible and im losing faith. I do not feel good at all i mean i suppose im glad im not going to die yet and i have my whole life infront of me yet its a scary situation. i dont know how to tell my family or anyone else i trust. God help me

im sorry to hear about your troubles sad i went through a lot too before i became closer with God. and i had very big discussions with my youth group leaders about evolution.
personally, i think that if there was evolution (even tho i havent really seen any viable evidence to prove that) then God still created everything. That is the basic meaning of the Creation story. God created everything and there is only one God.
next i would like to say that i believe God has a plan for everyone. although he can stop bad things from happening to us he doesnt because he loves us all enough to give us free will and make our own desicions. find strength in your friends, family and church community and try to work through your troubles.
just remember that God never gives you more than you can handle so just trust in him. one thing that might help you (its helped me) is find your favorite scripture passage and think about why its your favorite.

Do you need the Bible to be literal to believe in God?
I know it's the wrong religion, but... When the Buddha's followers asked him about things like how the universe was created, he just told them that it's not important. What is important is YOUR relationship with God, not whether God really made the world in seven days or really made cats and dogs exactly as they are today. These are just silly details.
If you get too caught up in these little details, you will lose sight of the big picture. The big picture is God's love.

God help me i'm sorry to hear that it can be hard to know what to believe sometimes but if you think about it evoulotion really doesn't make all that much sense or if we evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys here...there wouldn't be any left if we all evolved from them i'll pray for you keep the faith strong

Good explainations guys! Just because some scientists don't believe in God, and say evolution
disproves the whole notion, doesn't mean it's actually true. I've been in college for a while, and
have been in many different types of sciences and have come to one conclusion: All of this couln't
have been here by accident! I've seen video after video, and the more you learn about evolution
the more it seems to be a "fairy tale for adults". Not all of science is 'out' to get God,
Just this one part of science, and even micro-evolution (adaptation, really) exists, but in no way
is it confirming the entire makings of the world. And someone said it right when they
quoted Buddha, it doesn't matter at all. Just what you do with your life that was given. whee whee

heres what I say, the bible never did once got proved wrong, and revolution did multi-times. think of it this way, god is in another dimension that we can't reallize yet, kind of like we're in a 2-dimensional and hes in a 3 dimensional world that we can't see or even realize that he is there, it is scientific fact that there are 6 dimensions out there and maybe even more. I mean god is pretty complex, pm me if you don't get it or want to say something to me, and I will talk to you ^_^ hope that that will help you out.

God help me First of all, you're on the right track. The fact that you are doubting is normal, and the fact that you care and are worried about it means you have more faith then you realize. (if you didnt, doubting wouldnt bother you). And everyone doubts sometimes, so dont worry too much, you're not alone. The next thing is that, yes science creates a compelling arguement. But even if you believe what they say about evolution . . how did it all start? Where did the animals that we "evolved" from come from? There has to be a beginning somewhere, and science provides no explanation for that. . .but the bible does. . . I hope that helps a little.

I didn't read everyone's post so I might be restating some things, my apologies.
1) In the Bible it does say that a thousand years is a day and a day is a thousand years. Sure, that might not fit in with the science time line I wouldn't know. But He's God.
2) Pray. It's your relationship with God. Talk with him about your worries and concernes, because that's what he wants us to do.
3) Read the Bible, answers found in there. Now there are still questions unanswered, like where God came from...well where did the universe come from? We don't need to know everything, we couldn't handle it anyways.
4) Satan is a master at decieving. He'll use anything he can, whether it be dreams or not. When we are asleep we are most vulnerable to demons.

It is true, we are constantly being bombarded with so many contradictory opinions and views on the world. Naturalistic Science is aiming to throw God out of the picture entirely, but the truth shall triumph over falsehood, even if it takes until the final Judgement for that to be so. I would encourage you to do some real research on the accuracy and infalliability of God's word compared to modern science.
Science is ever-changing, with new ideas and new theories constantly coming up and over-writing old ones. There was a time where most science believed that the earth had existed from eternity past. The Jews and Christians had always believed that there was one particular point in time where the universe was created by God, but were scoffed at by the scientists of their day. Day by day, more and more evidence has shown to turn the tables. The evidence is mounting that points to a definite starting point for the universe, which gives the Jews and Christians the "last laugh." (so to speak)
All that being said, the church has done a really bad job here by staying on the defense all the time when there is plenty of evidence to show that God is real that He does play a part in our lives.
