Do you live in England? Is this Music GCSE? If it is, the solo piece of coursework stipulates that you can do any piece of coursework, even with a band, aslong as your part consists of a 'solo' section, with you playing some kind of melodic solo part. They suggest it should be your 'show off' piece. For mine, I did an overdubbed version Hotel California dubbed from scratch, with the solo improvised.

Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez is quite an easy little piece.
it'll take a little bit of practice to master, but it's quite simple, and sounds amazing.

There was actually a little bit of One on my coursework. Me and my friends were going to record one of my pieces using ambeint recording, and my teacher started recording without telling us. But whilst he was setting up, we were jamming One, which sounded pretty cool. blaugh

Nikita Kuzschkin's "Song Of Usher" it's really fun to play and it's just impressive... start off slow and then pick it up

To be honest it doesn't actually matter what you play. My friend got 28/30 for "Smells like teen spirit" stare
Just pick something that you can play well. mrgreen
