This was not exactly what I was expecting it to be, based on the previews. While it's a rather shallow and inaccurate portrayal of neo-paganism, the premise of the movie works well with those inaccuracies. There are some quite stupid moments, but they're easily overlooked, since they're not terribly noticeable (at least, they're not noticeable if you don't expect realistic relationships in movies).
However, this does not have the ending you expect it would, so if you haven't seen it, go in anticipating a surprise.
Overall, my rating is mixed. The middle of the movie is somewhat slow, but at the same time it builds the confusion as to what's going on, yet the plot isn't helped terribly much for it. The execution is on again, off again, but the acting generally makes up for this. The ending is really what saves the whole effort from mediocrity, and for that I give it a merry heart heart heart heart .
