The warmth that flowed through his body was pleasing, something that made his throat purr with contentment dispite still being unconcious. Amri had slept a glorious night, feeling like the best night of his life or so it seemed. His energy flowed through with each minute that past, and as the sun shone through the canopy above, he stretched slightly and let out a soft, large yawn.
His eyes snapped open a second before blinking, trying to adjust to the light dispite how it filtered down on his gray form. His tail curling and uncurling, he shifted around until his eyes fell on another, one that was quite close and appeared almost as exausted as well.
Swallowing, he tried to find his voice but failed to do so, and suddenly sought through his memory, becoming distracted as a thoughtful frown crossed his maw. Just what had happened that night?

Nyota's brown body was curled up tightly, her tail just reaching the tip of her nose. Her breath was light, as well as her state of sleep. She stirred quietly as she sensed Amri awakening, her body slowly uncurling from it's tight form.
She blinked in the morning light, her rose-coloured eyes warm, as well as a bit blurry. It felt like she had just fallen asleep, and she didn't much feel like waking up yet. But if Amri did....then she should too.

He watched her silently stirr, and slowly shifted a bit closer before murmering in a soft sigh-like tone, "Nyota?" It was a whisper, a light breeze as he felt no need to speak louder from their close contact. Instead, he lowered his head to his paws and kept his eyes trained on her, wonder fluttering through their depths.
"Did..." He trailed off a moment, wondering what to say really and changing his direction, "Did you sleep well?" He wanted to make sure she was still happy, still safe and not feeling pressured. It was hard having a friend, and yet at the same time he was so greatful she was by his side, there to never turn away and to accept him for whole he was. Both Mafujo and Amri.

Nyota's head slowly rose when he spoke her name, her ears perking towards him. "Mmm? Oh, well..." She shyed her head a bit away from him before looking back at him. "I slept well enough. It's a bit different in the jungle at night then it is in the Southlands....it will...take a bit to get used to."
She smiled shyly as she pulled herself up into a sitting position, her eyes finally starting to focus on the world around her. And Amri. She flushed a bit before turning a question towards him. "I pray that...you slept well too?"

He noted a slight akward tension that filled the air, before letting out a deep sigh once more and staying on his belly. Her smile caught his eyes a second later, and he returned the gesture with a warmer one, his form content.
"We can always go back if you wish," He repeated again, as if feeling that one reminder wasn't enough. He never wanted to keep her here, like a caged bird, and he hoped she saw that as not being annoying, but just warm as he meant it, "And yes, I slept very well...it is nice being able to not worry about what is around you for a change."
He finally stood up, stretching each leg in turn before looking around and avoding the question that lingered in his mind, "Are you hungry?"

Nyota's ears perked up at the mention of 'change', and Nyota flushed lightly before answering his question with a little more encouragement then what was necessary.
"Yes! Food sounds....delightful..." her words fell off, noticing that she was a little more bouncy then was needed. She swished her tail shyly and turned to look around, as if distracted by the scenery.
"What is there to eat around here? I am sure they are better then where we met." She laughed lightly. She mostly survived off of hares and rats, and she was hoping to get something that might fill her up a little bit more then a few small animals.[by the by, i quit this rp @ 12/13/06]
