Arukoru stood outside of Tenshi's coffee shop, sipping on a steaming mug of mocha lattee. His eyes scanned the side walks idly, as he pretended to be disinterested. He was bored out of his wits, and was waiting for one of his newer friends to arrive. "I hope she finds this place okay." Arukoru said dismilly as he pulled out a flask from his pocket and spiked his coffee with malt whiskey.
"I gave her the directions with mapquest.. This place shouldn't be too far from her house." Aru finished talking to himself and took another sip of his coffee. He then shook his head a bit. Damn that was strong stuff, just how he liked it.

It wasn't long after that Alida came walking down the sidewalk, holding her journal close to her with a crooked arm. She paused once to open it up and look inside, as though checking something, before smiling and looking around.
She saw Arukoru, and she brightened, raising her free hand to wave. She'd worn a long-sleeve green button-down dress for the occasion, and a black wool coat to keep out the fall chill. Black army boots were a bit out of place, but she'd fallen in love with them at the thrift store and wouldn't wear anything else at the moment.
Jogging forward, she stopped just in front of him, puffing slightly, but wearing a smile. Good, I made it! And it doesn't look like I'm too late... she thought, checking to see if Aru looked irritated.

Aru's garb was quiet different from his mute friend. He wore black pants with straps and chains hanging out of the pockets, with random zippers leading to useless pockets. And a long sleeved black shirt that had a cartoonish crying kitten on the front. Over his shoulder he carried a emo bag covered in band stickers. Basically, Arukoru shopped at Hot Topic.
"Hey Alida, I'm glad you made it. You didn't have any trouble finding the place, did you?" He said with a soft smile. For someone who dressed and looked so misirable, he sure was freakin personable. "Are you thirsty? I can get Yuki to make you something to drink inside. They search cakes and cookies too." He said as he jutted his finger behind him, pointing to the glass door. "My gaurdian owns this place. So anything you want's on the house so long as your with me."

Alida smiled and shook her head. She'd followed the directions, and for once, they'd been exactly right.
She was, however, thirsty, and nodded to that question, following his finger with her gaze. She flipped open her notebook, and wrote, "Could I have a Chai Latte, please? What kind of cookies are there?" she added, after a pause, looking curious.
But most of all she wanted to go inside for a moment, both to warm up and smell the delicious coffee shop smell better.

Aru set his hand on Alida's shoulder and opened up the door, helping to guide her inside. "The cookies are on display with their names written in front of them. So it's easy to pick" He said, leading her inside. Behind the counter was a young chinese woman with blue hair up in buns, and she smiled at the two as they came in.
On display in the cookie wrack where all sorts of delectible bites. Beanutbutter, Chocolate Chip, Chocolate with White chips, double Choco chip, Chocoholic Chip, Chocogasim Chip -It looked like a chocolate chunk with bits of cookie in it- oatmeal, oatmeal rasin. About the only cookie they didn't have was mint, and that was because Tenshi thought it was a ludicris concept.
"Yuki, Can I get a Chai Latte, and a..." He paused, looking to his female companion. "What kind of cookie would you like?"

Once inside, Alida took a deep breath, sighing with satisfaction. She let herself be led to the counter, and nodded with a smile to the woman behind the counter.
She looked over the choices of cookies, but it was nearly an impossible decision! So many choices, and they all looked good. She put the tip of her finger to her mouth and tapped it thoughtfully, and finally pointed at the oatmeal raisin sign with a firm nod.
She turned to look at Aru and waited for a moment before she wrote down, Is Yuki a family member? She thought it might be possible, since this was his families' establishment.

"Comming right up." Yuki said contently as she wrote the order down on a peice of paper, and got to filling the order behind the counter. Arukoru tilted his head towards Alida, reading what was on the paper. He then smirked. "Nah, Yuki is just an old friend of Tenshi's that she's been workin with since before I was born. She might not look it, but Yuki is a brilliant business woman." He said this because it was Yuki's booking skills that kept this place afloat in Tenshi's frequent absense. That and she just made a good clerk.
Within a few minutes Yuki set a plate containing the cookie, and a peanutbutter one because she knew that was Aru's favorite down on the counter. She also set a cup down along with it. "Here you go kids, enjoy." she said, before going to help another customer.

Alida nodded, injesting that information, and smiling at Yuki when she approached with the cup and cookies. Alida signed "thank you" and after Yuki had gone took a deep sniff of the chai latte smell, then a careful drink, since it would be hot.
So, what did you have in mind for today? she asked with her notebook, and turned it around to be read. She glanced around, taking in the atmosphere of the coffee shop. It was a nice place, and she would definitely have to remember how to get here even when she wasn't visiting Aru.

Aru picked up his cookie and began to nibble on it thoughtfully as Alida sipped her drink. He then paused when asked what he wanted to do, and he looked outside. It was a bit chilly, but he could snatch coats from the back..
"Do you like to go rollerblading? I know a park near here that does skate rentals and you can go around on their trials. It's really pretty during this time of year when the leaves start falling down." he then sipped his spiked coffee. Yeah there would be alot of people there thanks to the foliage, and skating wasn't a very emo thing to do. But he didn't think Alida would like a poetry club or something of the likes.

Alida listened and thought for a moment. It would be pretty, but she wasn't comfortable with a lot of people, and she wasn't good at rollerskating at all. But if Aru wanted to give it a try...
I will go if you want to, Aru. But, it's a little chilly out. Maybe we could go someplace inside? she asked, via her notebook. She hoped he wouldn't be offended by her half-veto.
It was purely by coincidence that as she turned the book around, a gust of wind from someone coming in the door flipped the pages back a few. She blushed a bit, and quickly turned them back, but not before someone could have seen the first few lines of a poem she had finished only a few night ago.
It was cheesy and sappy, and she was a bit self-conscious about it, but somehow she still liked it.

Arukoru paused in mid sip of his coffee as he saw what looked like poetry. He then smirked. "Was that poetry I just saw?" He asked, as he looked to the note book. He then held his hand out. "May I see it? I know I look it, but I'm a real poetry fanatic. I have a good journal full of it at home." He said, leaving out the 'but only a few of them are actually good' that popped into his head afterwards. Maybe she would like to go to the poetry club. Not to speak, of coarse. But to listen?

Alida blushed pink, and hesitated for a moment. But, she wanted to be published someday, so everyone would see what she wrote, right? And Aru said he wrote poetry, too, so he would understand, right? Right. So, she took a deep breath, and flipped it back, then fidgeted with her cookie while he read, breaking it in half, and then in half again. When Aru read the poem, he would see many places where parts were crossed out and written over, evidence that the poem had just recently been a work in progress, that it might even still be. There were doodles in the margins, some of them just little magical swirls, while others were badly drawn depictions of some of the things in the poem. The poem itself took up the entire center of the page. The Death of Magic Fragile world cherished in Goddess’ heart, life and Her eldritch song are never apart. Father Time slumbers, dreaming the land, until the death of Her world is at hand. Ancient forests carpet verdant hills; a crystal waterfall endlessly spills, creating a river that is rumored to be the pathway to the home of the Sidhe. Songs greet the Dawn, voicing praise, as mist rolls through a field of maize, Chaos sings a song of It’s own, a song of change, and power unknown. Gleeful and angry, ancient and young, Chaos sweeps forth, heeding no one. Changing the vision the Goddess holds dear; enticer, repulser, charmer, misleader. Chaos’ minions, the changeling men, prowl and howl and roam the fen. Men once, now not, they answered Its song, and are lost, poor souls, forever on. The Goddess weeps her tears of rage, the droplets fall, turn a storybook page, the world cries out in throes of pain, Time wakes to still the song’s mystical strain. The world grows cold, its magic dies, Chaos weakens, and logic now pries, at those who once sang an eldritch song, and measured science will reign now on. (( Yes, that is one I wrote in high school, so I figure it counts as something she might write. ^o^ ))

Aru's jaw dropped a little bit as he finished reading the poem, before he looked it over agian. "This is.." He paused, before looking up to Alida. "This is really good. Alot better than anything I've ever wrote before." He said with a bit of a chuckle. "Most of mine are about hethen women and wallowing in darkness." Ah, Arukoru the little gothic conformist.
"You've got real talent here. You should have someone read it for you at the poetry house." He said with a bright grin, and a firm nod. He then handed the journal back. "You've got a beautiful mind in your skull."

Alida looked surprised. He liked it? Really? She looked at his face closely. He really seemed sincere. So, she turned crimson again, this time with both pleasure and embarrassment, but she was smiling.
And then he caught her attention with a mention of a poetry house. There was a place where people went to read their writings? She was something of a hermit, so it wasn't surprising to her that she hadn't heard of this before, and her inability to speak was one more reason not to go, but...
She opened to the page she'd been writing their conversation on, and wrote, "Thank you very much, Aru. Could you show me where this is?" before showing it to him. She wondered if he went there often.

Arukoru nodded his head to his friend, before he scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, I can show you where it is. To be honest it's where I wanted to go earlier but I wasn't sure if you'd like it." He said, before he looked to the side and blushed a little himself. He then picked up his cookie and finished off the last bite, and washed it down with the remainder of his coffee.
"I can take you though. It's not far. Just let me know when you're ready and we can head over."
