What about the parents? I mean, when everyone forgot about Sora, did his parents just forget about their child's existence? And what about Riku's parents? No one forgot about him, did his parents just think he was missing or dead or something? And when everyone started remembering Sora, weren't his parents freaking out a bit wondering what the hell was going on and where their kid was? I would've. I don't know about you guys, but I would have liked it if they would have touched down just a little bit on the parents' role in everything, not just "Sora, dinner's ready. Sora?" They could've had a little flash forward at the end of the game with Sora in his room or something before he leaves to go meet Riku and Kairi. You know? Am I the only one that feels this way?

They really should have said SOMETHING about what was going on with the parents during the time that Sora and Riku were gone.. I kinda wondered too, because I know I'd be uber stressed if my kid disappeared for a really long time and then randomly showed back up again.

I always did wonder about their parents. And I always mentioned it to my friends but they didn't pay it any mind. Maybe they'll touch on it a bit in KH 3?

The only time I can recall them even being mentioned is by Riku in the beginning of KH1. Than, and Sora's mom tells him (off-camera) that dinner's ready, but that's also in the first hour of the game and after that you don't even get to know that they exist. It always struck me as a bit odd, but it doesn't really bug me that much.

Square was simply doing the thing they do commonly in most anime with teens as the focal point. Which involves little or no interaction whatsoever of the parents to the teen unless he/she is getting in trouble or wants to talk to an adult about a matter that an older figure would understand best. In KH's case that's where Leon and the others came in, they took those roles for Sora and Riku instead of the parents. (if that was confusing to you as it was to myself, please PM and I'll try to clear up my explanation)

Welcome to the world of Disney. Historically in Final Fantasy, there is some details given - a whole lot, in some games. But Disney? No. Nada. Zip. Non. Neyt. Iie. Jigoku nai. In any case, I find it vaugely amusing, but I don't worry about it too much. As far as I can guess... nobody cares. *random member of Organization XIII flips Scathach off* So to speak... *glares at Organization member* I don't mean that we, the players don't care - I just think we aren't supposed to. neutral

But if someone's kid goes missing...they usually talk about the parents a little bit. I don't know, I've always really liked father/son interaction (don't know why, just do) so I would've liked it if Sora at least mentioned his dad, or Riku about his. Maybe I'm the only one that cares about that. sweatdrop

Some things just aren't solved - and who knows? Maybe Riku lives with a crazy aunt who didn't even notice, and Sora's mom was nuts to begin with. xd
