For fans of martial arts and anime you have more than likely seen or heard of Rurouni Kenshin this is a great Samurai anime with some historic value as well as action, comedy, and love mixed in as well but some may not know that this is not the beginning or the end of the story it's the midle. The story starts with Samurai X where the boy known as Shinta becomes Kenshin and later called Battosai the man slayer.

Rurouni Kenshin

and this is where it began Samurai X
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsDUB49sB3c

Later still in another movie Kenshin dies.

If you like the comedy found in Rurouni Kenshin there is little found here this will show you why Kenshin is the way he is and why he has refused to ever kill again. This anime is a great and tragic tale of a boy who becomes a warrior falls in love and gives up the sword only to have it forced back into his had and later still becomes a peace loving wondering swordsman who learns to live again but the story goes on I wont add what happens next look for these films and see for your self.

Shadow Skill not a real true martial arts anime like most they use martial arts with super human powers it has some funny story to it and some cool fight scenes. It's a mix between martial arts and SciFi fantasy were martial arts is the main subject of the story.

Shadow Skill is an ancient fighting art of Karuda created by the gladiator women who fought using kicks due to their hands being tied. This story follows Ella Ragu the 59th Sevalle in the kingdom of Kuruda and Gau Ban an orphaned boy that Elle takes up as her adopted brother and student in the art known as the Shadow Skill. The story is mostly about Gau who hopes to break Ella and Scarface's (King of Karuda) record by becoming the youngest Sevalle (People who competed and won Karudas combat skills competition).

There is a manga series with anime adaptations, created by Studio DEEN and aired on Japanese Television in 1998, and has been released in the United States by ADV Films in 2005. The series is based on the manga by Megumu Okada. A shonen series, it features a lot of combat, especially martial arts. As well as the original 26 episode TV show, three separate OVAs have been produced, which have been released in the United States by Manga Entertainment. The television series, which has a different storyline to that of the OVAs, is distributed by ADV Films.

Fatal Fury was a rival game to Street Fighter Capcom who made SF often made deals with SNK who made FF inorder to make a crossover fighting game. There has been a few Capcom Vs. SNK titles as well as King of Fighters that adds the game Art of Fighting which has it's own anime as well.

Fatal Fury has some of the same ideas as Street Fighter fighters come togeather in street dules to test their ability and skills. The characters end up in all sorts of truble in these shows it's a good anime and I think it's all farly connected unlike Street Fighter.

Fatal Fury: Legend of the Hungry Wolf (1992)
Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle (1993)
Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture (1994)

Art of Fighting is one of the old school fighting games you don't hear much about it and it later got tied in with the King of Fighters games. There is an anime movie it's not bad but not great there is only one anime movie that I know of.

Story

Ryo and Robert's plan was simple: find the lost cast, collect the $500 reward, and get back in time to pay the electric bill. That's when things began to go very wrong. When Ryo and Robert accidently became the sole witnesses to a mob hit, it was a mistake that would them - in blood. Since then, they've been shot at, run off the road, and nearly blown to pieces - but now it's getting personal.

The mob boss, Mr. Big, has kidnapped Ryo's sister, Yuri. The only way to get her back alive is to find a missing diamond. Both the mob and the cops think Ryo and Robert have the diamond, but they don't know anything about it. Up to their necks in trouble and with no place else to turn, it's payback time.

Wile we are on the topic of fighting games made into anime I will add Battle Arena Toshinden It was one of the first fighting games to boast polygonal characters in a 3D battle arena, rather than the traditional side-to-side fighting space that had been popular since Street Fighter II.

This was not a bad anime but again there is only one movie that I know of.

the ninja anime Naruto is based mostly off of ninjitsu, for the ninja lovers there. Alot of the moves and rankings are like those of the anctient ninjitsu, but be warned, they did take superhuman things into it, like making powers out of chakra, and special abilities like being able to copy everyone else's techniques, but I do love how the author was creative enough to use real things, and thrown in there I have seen a little bit of shaolin and some karate, as well as tae kwon do. So watch an episode or two and see if you like, if you haven't already seen it.

Naruto is great it starts off a little childish but as it goes along it gets better these kids are studying to be ninja and are some what naive as to how ninjas live and die. They go through hell some people die and they grow along the way.

Ninja Scroll is a anime about a historical figure named Jubei Kibagami who was said to be a ninja. Well in this anime movie and anime show he is and it's great the show was not as good as the first movie but it follows some of Jubies adventures. Ninja Resurrection is a movie that from what I know has to do with Jubie as well I have seen only bits of it though.

I wont add links to youtube it's got some nudeity and I don't know how people would take it but there are clips of bothe movies on youtube.com.

Ya I spent a lot on my DVD collection some where around a thousand dollars. I love Tenchi Muyo and Tenchi Universe so I own all of them Tenchi Muyo is coming out with new episodes. I have the first box set of Robotech I need the rest. I can't stop buying anime Cartoon Network and Funimation cuts every thing out and messes it all up so buying it is a must for real fans but at $25 a DVD it's not a cheap hobby.

My love of anime is shown here this is my first tattoo it's Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo.

Grappler Baki is a anime movie and show about a high school kid named Baki Hanma. Baki is a no holds barred fighter in fights that can be deadly he is out to become the best. He offten stays home from school to train and he keeps a list of the top fighters he goes head to head with these fighters to reach the top.

Quote:
No one knows where he came from or where he learned his unique fighting style. He can defeat an opponent with a single blow and he's taking the Karate Championship by storm. But now he's in for the fight of his life. Anything goes and his opponent can rip his nerves out — literally.

If he wins, he's the BEST. If he loses... he's DEAD.
