When the end of the 1st season and beginning of the second I realizided that each element ecept air has a secondary elenent.
Water- of course water + ice
Earth- Earth + sand
Fire- fire and Lighting
Why doesn't air have one that's not fair sad

Air can manipulate the other elements. Sandstorms, waterspouts, wildfires (or fire tornadoes, those are more interesting)... And air can cool water to ice, too. So I guess you could say that air has every other element as it's secondary, depending on how you could manipulate it.

Yeah....I just asked that somewhere else.
Any way, each element has some manipulation over the other if you think about it real hard and look at it scientifically.
Fire heats and feeds off of air. So thus the are connected to air.
Water cannot exist with out air (H2O, Hydrgen 2 part Oxygen.)
Earth, well the core of the planet is magma (fire) and without some sort water in soil it drys out. Plus yuo can get water from rocks. Seriously, look it up if you dont beleive me.
Air, well...again air is essential to water and fire and if soil doestn have a way of getting air into it then seeds would'nt grow....
But I still cant figure Airs, secondary. Maybe it just doesn't have one.
wait what about, Wind?
Even though wind is just moving air....hmm....

Well... it's possibly that these secondary elements developed over the last hundred years & airbenders would be excluded from this b/c they were all wiped out... crying
