Hurrah. First thread.
Ugh... my dad.
I don't like him anymore.
He takes off every weekend not telling us where he is going and what he's doing.
If we call him, he doesn't answer.
I love him, but he's being irresponsible.
My step-mom waited 2 days straight for him to come back.
He comes back pretending nothing's wrong and then the whole family gives him the cold shoulder.
He then gets pissed and then takes it out on everything in sight.
[except my grandma]
I'm just afraid he's gonna get wasted or something.
He might start smoking, drinking, who knows what.
He's already become addicted to the slots.
He hasn't gone to any of his choir practices and he's skipping out on family occasions.
What the ******** said that he's take me to watch Wicked this weekend.
Apparently, he forgot.
He promised to take me to my friend's house all the way up on the other side of the state.
He knows I barely get to see her.
He forgets.
Not only is he totally sucking at being a dad, but he's been breaking a lot of promises...

I think you should corner him oneday and just talk.

If he ignores you, press on.

i agree with Usagi, you should just talk to him. you should talk to your mom too, maybe something is bothering him. i understand that a rift is forming, but u shouldn't give up. maybe he's not telling your family things that might make you guys feel worried.

wow... pretty harsh... I definately agree that you should try to talk to him...but maybe start out suddle and if he doesn't want to talk, then be more serious and corner him so he can't ignore you!
I hope you work things out... Don't forget that you always have friends to talk to!!! We are here for you!!!

If anything happens, we're here for you. Wow, and i thought my life sucked. I should stop complaining.
Yeah, just talk to him, but stay alive (we need you in our school, or else it'd be very very boring and... sane. -shudders-)

Reading what you wrote made me smile. :'D I am sorry to say this but that sounds kinda...you know... like an ADULT problem which is bad but then again he could just feel bad that he has been leaving you and not want you to worry 3nodding prepare for the worst, hope for the best!!!^_^
