I read it in 5th greade, but being so young, I hardly understood it. I reread it all today, and want to know, is it saying only 144,000 people are going to heaven in the end times? Or what? It's kind of upsetting me... >..<;

first off, post the scripture and exact verse and chapter you got that from.
secondly, there is no exact number of those going to heaven. neither is there an exact number of those going to hell.
and thirdly, don't expect to understand revelations. it is the MOST metaphorical book in the bible.

Well, keep in mind, God has written everything as it is or as it will be. ^^ Everything in the Bible speaks for itself. ^^
But, Jesus will return to collect His ppl. And, of course, God isn't cruel, so He hasn't predestined us. That is our job. If we choose to love God and Jesus more than any other thing, human, material, ect, then we are reborn in the body of Christ as a "chosen". ^_^

In the end times and in the book of Revelation Jesus states that the 144,000 from each tribe of Judah will enter heaven. We know that because it says it clearly. Just like we know that the amount of people who go to hell is unknow. We believe that any non-believers that do not accept Jesus Christ as their savior before they die will be thrown into the eternal fire.

Well, to answer the question of as to what verse it is, it's Revelation 14:1-5. In my Bible (NIV) its under the title of 'The Lamb and the 144 000'.
My understanding is that these are those that did not follow the beast after the rapture. Of course, that could be completely wrong, as I'm no Bible scholar. And I doubt that even those people can say they know anything for certain. The book of Revelation is a very metaphorical book, and it is difficult to say anything for certain. I mean, this could be any one of a number of groups of people.
It does not, however, say anything about the tribe of Judah in those verses. It simply states that there are 144 000 people staning with the Lamb on Mount Zion with his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. It says it's those that were redeemed from the earth. Again, this could be anyone, but I do not believe for a second that there are only 144 000 people going to heaven. That would just contradict everything the Bible says about heaven being open to everyone who acknowledges Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
That, and, as my grandfather likes to joke, don't you think there are already 144 000 people there?
I hope that helps, lol, as I said, I don't pretend to understand it all, and I'm not sure that we will until its time to. It's just one of the mysteries of God and who He is.
