Taking my Cues from Ende here....so you can blame her for all this:

I'm a big fan of reading, just as she is, and I love plots worlds and characters that you can absoloutely sink into. I love F. Paul Wilsons "Repairman Jack" and C.J. Cherryths "Foreigner" Books, and I -love- Dune. I also have the most worldshaking tallent to get attatched to characters doomed to die. This happens with very few exceptions....*sigh* C_C; Just my luck I guess....

ONWARD!

((holding quotes borrowed from "Hunters of Dune". Ditto Excerpt.))

Forgoten's Name: Duncan
Gender: Male
Familar's/Daimon's name - Chapterhouse
Gender: Female

Sketch: *none*

Forgotten's Name: Duncan
Forgotten's Gender: Male
Daemon's Name: Chapterhouse
Daemon's Species: Sandworm
Forgotten's Appearance (Physical): Caucasian dominant, possibly hinting at something more exotic or mixed, Duncan has a strong jaw without being Stretch Armstrong, tapering to a chin just delicate enough to offset the sharper line of his nose and cheekbones and keep him from looking like a poster child of machismo. His eyes, dark steel grey, are a mix of intenseity and a hint of sorrow. His dark brown, almost black hair is wavy, with a tendensy to threaten outright curling in the right circumstances. He prefers earth tones overall, sand and earth tones that make his skin look even darker when he's tanned.
Forgotten's Appearance (Traits): Duncan comes across with an reined in intensity, as though he were waiting on someone or something to whom he felt drawn or bound, but isn't aware of who that person is. At the same time, there's a subtle weight about him, as though he'd seen more than a child should have.
Daemon's Appearance (Physical): Tan bodied and lythe, Chapterhouse is hardly the most cuddly of creatures. Her segmented body is rough skinned, designed to slide through sand or earth, and her maw opens with heat like a furnace, to reveal row on row of serated white teeth.
Daemon's Appearance (Traits): Fierce and passionate, Chapterhouse tends to move as though she were either dancing, or thrashing at some enemy of which only she was aware. Reverse to Duncans bullheaded consistancy, she can be enormously unpredictable.

Forgotten's Personality: Bullheaded and loyal, Duncan tends to stand firm in his beleifs once he's desided on something. His faith is a hard thing to shake, and his loyalty unbreakable if he settles it on a person or cause, though to outsiders or new faces, he can be a bit calculating and reclusive, hesitant to trust.
Daemon's Personality: Chapterhouse is more passionate even in her 'relationships' with others, often the first to introduse herself, even if this introduction is somewhat less than cordial.
Excerpt: His life, his lives had always seemed to carry a definite direction. He was the legendary Duncan Idaho, a paragon of loyalty, but more than ever before he had been feeling lost. Had the escape from Chapterhouse been the right thing to do? Who were the old man and woman, and what did they want? Were they truly the great OUtside Enemy? Or another threat entirely?"
What does it reveal about..
.. their past?: ((other than who I named him for? ^_^ wink ) That Duncan, like his name sake, is or was deeply loyal to his cause, passionate to a fault, like Chapterhouse, and that he may possibly have been 'reborn' before, though never like this.
.. how they are now that they are "reborn" as a Forgotten? The loyaty and passion stayed with them, but it's difficult to be more lost than to have totaly lost the sense of who you were.
.. their future?: [Is it a prophecy? etc.] Starting off as enormously lost as they are, and not knowing or being anywhere near who it was to who they were so fiercely loyal, Duncan and Chapterhouse will be forced to find their new directions for themselves, with what guideposts they may remember of the past no longer nessisarily being valid.

Powers, talents, special traits?: [They're not a vegetable, XD.]
Powers: Duncan posesses an particularly keen memory, some moments in time seem almost written word for word into his conciousness, though he doesn't seem to be able to pick and choose which moments these are, or even if they're ones he'd really care to remember.
Aside from this, (at GM's discression in rps) he seems to have flashes of 'insight' as though perhaps seeing some hidden force at work that normaly would go unnoticed.

Other important qualities: Chapterhouse herself dislikes water strongly, though Duncan seems to have no objection to it though he avoids it to some extent for her sake.
Other important concept details: Duncan every so often tends to go very introspective, though he never seems to be able to recall what he was being introspective over, though every so often he claims to dream that he feels like he's watching the ripples of a stone dropped into the water, and he's not certain in the dream if he's the outward spreading ripples or the stone, or what the significance of this is.

I know who I was. The historical record is quite clear on the facts. A more pertinent question to answer, though, is who I am.

~~Randomly: before someone notes it. No, I don't anticipicate that 'Duncan' will be in any way shape or form a clone or cosplay of Duncan Idaho. His concept is inspired by him, probably even a lot, since he's my favorate character from the series, but 'Duncan' is and will be his own person. The very tail holding quote by Paul Atrides probably sums it up best. The idea of who you were versus who you will be. Fun stuff. ~~ heart
