Maylin sat down under a tree eating her dinner for the evening. "Yum!" She then lifted her head up to look for her new friend, Nanali. "Hm.... Where is she?"

Nalani opened one eye and searched the area. Her adoptive mother, Jeevita, was nowhere to be found. "Awww, I wonder where she went." The filly stretched, got up, and walked towards a nearby river for a drink.

Maylin sniffed out Nanali and happily pranced over to her. "Hello dear friend." She smiled and looked up to Nanali. "How are you today?"

Nalani looked up and smiled with her muzzle dripping wet. "Hey Maylin, I'm fine. I slept ok...except for some annoying mosquitos buzzing about." She made a face as she remembered the tough time she had getting rid of those pesky bugs. "How about you? Done anything fun lately?" She tossed her mane and swung her tail.

She thought about what she did all day. "Well I didn't really do anything but eat and sleep." She smiled at the filly. "Oh a way to get rid of those pesky bugs is to roll in some mud." She looked over to a mud pile. "Well you wanna go try it out?" She walked towards the mud then looked back at Nanali making sure she was following.

"Roll in the mud? Won't I be dirty?" She looked at the mud pile and hesitated a bit. Nalani looked down at Maylin, "I don't think Jeevita will like the idea of me getting messy..." She stuck a hoof into it making a squishy sound. "Ewww....I hope I don't get in trouble for this..."

She thought about what Jeevita would say. "I don't think you will get in trouble." She jumped in the mud that splashed every which way. "It feels good too." She rolled around in the mud then looked up at Nanali and smiled.

A bit of mud splattered on Nalani's face. "Ack! That's a bit cold." She looked down and struck the mud, sending it flying everywhere. "Well...I guess it would hurt." She jumped in and started to roll, trying not to get mud in her eyes, nose, or mouth. "Hehe, this is fun!" The filly kicked out playfully as she continued to roll in the mud.

A little bit of mud splatted on Maylin, but you couldn't tell since she was already so muddy. "see!" She smiled at the filly finally lightening up. She lounged around in the mud some watching Nanali kicking and playing around. she so cute Maylin thought to herself while watching the filly. "Do you feel better now?"

She giggled as she played in the mud. Nalani stopped for a while to look at the wolf. "Yeah, I feel much better." The filly tried getting up but she slipped and landed with a splash in the mud. "Whooooops." She tried again, but slower, making sure her footing was firm.

She laughed at the filly falling down then rolled around in the mud a little longer before slowly crawling out. "Ah! I haven't done that in so long young one." She sighed and stretched then shook some of the mud off of her. She splatted the filly with some mud before going to lay down under a tree. "Hopefully one of these days I will meet a filly like yourself that I can care for." She then flopped down under the tree and stretched before closing her eyes a bit.

Nalani smiled at the wolf. She seemed to be a sister to her. The filly walked over to Maylin and layed down next to her. "Thanks Maylin, that was fun." Nalani closed her eyes.

Maylin looked over to the filly and smiled happily. "Any time young one." She smiled hoping to be like a big sister to the filly.
